Yes, the mainstream media wont bother unless they have something to report on. Its great that there's a few reporters there, hopefully, the public can get the case in 'full' (other than what is restricted).
Bloody hell 😳 she was arrested 3 times before being charged 😳 what did she do to all those babies 😢

It was to put more charges to her. You have to rearrest someone to do that.

So, she was initially arrested then bailed. Rearrested to speak to her about more (different) charges. Bailed again. Arrested for the final time and charged. It's not as sinister as it sounds.

Obviously this opinion holds no weight without evidence but my gut feeling at the minute is leaning guilty. Will see if it changes as actual evidence is revealed

And, according to the Hereford Times, the jury's not been picked yet!

"A jury is expected to be in place later on Monday followed by the prosecution opening"

This report is saying there are five new charges of attempted murder - so 22 charges in total, against the same infants. This might explain the delays and legal arguments last week.

Oooft! bleeping hell. I didn't even register the extra charges when I saw 22 counts on the Sky blog.

Think I'll be following these updates!

My gut. She's a scapegoat for a failing hospital which to this day has very high rates of maternity deaths. I could be wrong and if so I'll admit it. But as it stands I feel she could very well be innocent.
This has always been my thoughts

Ohhh wow. More charges that is just horrendous, I hope the families weren't caught off guard with it and were informed properly...

This is going to be very interesting indeed. If she’s not guilty and it’s a scapegoat situation It’s going to be very sad as that’s another life ruined in all this. I don’t have an opinion either way, I’ll wait to hear the evidence. Stats aren’t enough for me. The thread has been an interesting read though.

Am I right in thinking senior staff and the consultants on the ward heads would have rolled for this too? I would have thought they were overseeing everything down to the last detail for the babies in their care. How did it get past them all?

It’s good that there is so movement; it’s been a looong wait. It will be so interesting to hear what evidence they have and how it’s presented.
Jeez, I know!
I might as well clear my calendar for 6 months, I get far to distracted by these trials! 😳

I would imagine it didn't and that an internal investigation probably got underway pretty quickly after the deaths started increasing.

You don't know she definitely did something. She's been charged but not found guilty... we don't know yet.

"In some instances, the 32 year old is accused of attempting to murder the same infant multiple times."

What the duck?? 🥺🥺

There will be enquiry after enquiry into this one. Some decisions will probably also rest on the outcome of the trial.

Sorry if someone explained this but the investigation into other hospitals she worked at, what happened with them?
