Some of the personal opinions on Dewi Evans and Dr Brearey have been down right disgusting.
Absolutely. Last comment on mumsnet is

nurse who was made a scapegoat by a failing health service, backed up by an incompetent police force and Mickey Mouse justice system;

I mean what? Apparently they are trying to explain to posters who won't listen.

Pot kettle.

Yes apparently there are nurses all over saying it's common. Normal wide spread practice they say.
Just catching up with the mumsnet thread. It's mind boggling how stupid they are. The handover sheets can't be thrown away normally so Letby must have been saving them up to have a bonfire with and she had forgotten where her shredder was. Hospitals have big confidential waste bins just chuck it in there!

But the shredder is always broken, don't you know.
🤦‍♀️. It is thoroughly depressing.

Even if you could believe there was an acceptable reason for taking home all those handover sheets and somehow keeping them - there isn’t, but if there was - that still doesn’t explain why one was kept in pristine condition in a keepsake box, or at her parents (where she didn’t live for any of her nursing career?) in a box marked keep.
A few scattered between the bottom of her handbag, car door, coat pocket you could put down to being a bit rubbish at remembering to follow strict patient confidentiality rules. But 257? 😂 Nah, sorry. That’s 257 trophies.

Hes smashed those guidelines I wonder why he has so deliberately gone against them? What's in it for him? It's all so bizarre.
I don't understand why a team of international experts have written such a cr*p report.

Interview with Karen Rees, this woman is shameless.

Wow! She’s come a long way since sitting in the dark, not showing her face just after the verdicts. She must feel she will have the support of the public now. Anything to make her feel better for going above and beyond to support a baby killer

Jesus Christ…
I remember Lucy’s mum phoning me and asking could she meet me in the hospital. And she was crying inconsolably, saying, ‘Please, Karen, don’t retire. You’re the only one we would trust in this place’.”

Oh maybe the police force should recruit Rees and Powell given they are so good at identifying whether someone they work with every day is capable of murder or not 🙄

Challenged on why she believed Letby is innocent, Rees said: “The one person that knows her nursing team is the manager or the unit manager — not a consultant that visits a couple of times a week. They know the strengths and weaknesses. I trusted Lucy’s ward manager when she looked me in the eye and said ‘she’s [Letby] fantastic and she’s right by the book, she does everything right.’

“And I believed Lucy when she told me she had done nothing wrong. I will always recall her saying to me, ‘you’re the only person, Karen, that hasn’t asked me if I did it?’ Because I didn’t think she had.”

She had resilience as she never went on the sick.

I also think she had to stay at work to stay close to as much of the investigation as possible.

I don’t know about anyone else but I think I would be physically sick if it dawned on me I was being accused of murdering babies and I was actually innocent. No way could I just carry on as normal in an admin job waiting for them to clear me.

The interview very much reads like Rees is one of the sources for previous articles. Comments about wanting to give evidence but not being called, and also how Letby was told in counselling to write notes.

"Letby was also having counselling and was encouraged to “write down stressful thoughts”.

I bet it was Karen Rees who spread the lies to the tabloids about the counsellor directing letby to write the confession.

"Rees claims she has always regretted that. She has since contacted HMP Bronzefield, Surrey, where Letby is serving her sentence, to apply for a visiting order. So far Letby has not accepted. “I just want her to know that there is support out here for her,” she said.

Hopefully Rees will be joining her soon, if she is charged and convicted of corporate manslaughter.

Not seen that photograph of Lucy with Tigger and Smudge before. The cats look quietly terrified in the photograph or may they just hated the jumpers.
oh look, sweet innocent Lucy cuddling two cute kitties next to the Christmas tree. How could I have got her so wrong 🫠

These people are idiots. Why are there so many of them?! 😩

I keep seeing TikToks claiming that the prosecutor's claim that 'Lucy Letby was on shift for every incident' is false - that they only counted 25 incidents when there were really 61.

Does anyone know where this has come from? If this was the case, surely, it would have been part of the original trial.

There were 25 unexpected and unexplained collapses, the rest were a result of natural causes that is why they weren't included in the original trial. Dewi Evans wanted to review every collapse within the indictment period, even the non suspicious ones and did it blind without knowing that Letby was suspected.
