Is it true that the consultants only went round twice a week? But should have gone twice a day?
If you're trying to go down the "oh the doctors are covering up" line you can forget it. This conspiracy theory disintegrates under the gentlest of scrutiny. Professionally, financially, legally or otherwise the doctors were under no jeopardy as a result of the unit deaths.

That's not true though.

There's always a consultant available or on call. Usually the junior Dr's will review the patients and then do a round with the consultant and feed back on each patient and a plan is made. That's what happens on my unit.
I think that's what happens everywhere to be fair. I've never worked paeds but I've never known consultants to do a ward round more than twice a week

I’m assuming you’re suggesting this isn’t true if the doctors caused the deaths ?
Despite the current noise in the media, there is no evidence this is the case.

The consultants who tried to raise their concern regarding the unexplained and unexpected deaths and the potential of LL being the caused were not treated as they should have been by the hospital. They were not covered under the whistleblowing policy which they should have been and they were also threatened by higher management with losing their own licences/being reported by the GMC if they didn’t stop raising their concerns and asking for management to complete investigations.

If they were responsible they wouldn’t have been fighting for there to be an investigation.

The higher management themselves didn’t even want to do an investigation into the deaths either so again, the fact the consultants were pushing for this speaks volumes and rubbish’s the claim she is a scapegoat. As said before, the enquiry actually shows just how much the hospital tried to keep her employed and attempted to remove the consultants which disproves the conspiracy it was all a cover up - you can read all the enquiry documents online

The flat earthers like to dole this one out regularly as a reason for all the deaths. Like it was absolutely scandalous that they were only doing 2 ward rounds per week!

That's just normal isn't it?
I do think they upped it once the unit was downgraded from what I read.

Oh I am not read my previous post. I am just reading the mumsnet thread so want to be informed.

They are saying NJ sexuality assaulted her and that Moritz and coffey have changed their minds.

I worry she will get off.

NJ as in the prosecution’s Nick Johnson KC? Sexually assaulted her? These people are actually INSANE!!! And downright offensive. They better be careful they don’t say things like that somewhere they can be identified as they might find themselves getting into trouble making such awful allegations.

But I wouldn’t worry, she isn’t going to get off because Moritz and Coffey may have changed their minds. Or even if the majority of Mumsnet have too. Luckily verdicts aren’t decided by X factor style public votes.

I think there is a perfect storm here of recent MoJ cases like post office and Andrew causing lower levels of confidence in the justice system, alongside lengthy, complex medical evidence against a pretty, young nurse amidst an era where social media turns conspiracies into a feeding frenzy of misinformation.

Sorry harrassed! 🤦‍♀️ not assault but bullied her.
Sexually harrassed or just harrassed?

If they think grilling a defendant under oath is harassment then it tells you the level of intellect we are dealing with here.

There are several ( or one with multiple accounts) mumsnet posters, who dominate all Lucy Letby threads on there. It's hard to have a proper discussion over there. Any reasonable posters suggesting there maybe evidence pointing to Letby's guilt are shot down. They will not have it that Letby has ever done anything wrong.

Oh yes I can imagine the likes of Gill and co on Twitter would consider NJ’s cross examination as harassment 🙄 god even if she was actually innocent, it’s not harassment ffs 🤦🏼‍♀️

They said sexual harrased because of the commando comment and how can he look his wife and daughter in the eye.

Fuelled by professional malcontents like Davis, Hitchens and Dorries.

Part of me thinks the panel of experts know parts of their reports are pure cr*p, such as the insulin and baby O's liver injury, but hope to get somewhere with the air embolism rash and make a name for themselves.

I'm suggesting there is more to this case. As a neonatal nurse some of the 'evidence' doesn't add up and again from experience i just cannot see how she had the chance to do what she was accused of. She was either a criminal mastermind and her colleagues were turning a blind eye or she was a scapegoat for systematic failings.
I have read the documents and the evidence multiple times.
