Lucy Letby quizzed over MORE baby murders: “Nurse is interviewed in jail over further fatalities at Countess of Chester site where she killed seven newborns - AND incidents at Liverpool Women's Hospital where she trained”

Cheshire Police said tonight: ‘We can confirm that, following agreement, Lucy Letby has recently been interviewed in prison under caution in relation to the ongoing investigation into baby deaths and non-fatal collapses at the Countess of Chester Hospital and the Liverpool Women’s Hospital. Further updates will follow.’

I think she was doing things to hurt the babies a lot of the time but the harm done varied.

I think she should definitely face charges for the third insulin baby and retrials for babies H, J and Q.

Given the scale of Operation Hummingbird, its laugable that TC and IH thought Jane Hawdon could get to the bottom of it in a single weekend.

Richard Gill and friends will be fuming.

I wonder if she will have another trial or if they will just add the cases to her list of crimes.

I just feel for the parents of the babies she has been questioned about. This must be a nightmare for them.

I too bet she attacked babies at LWH, possibly even having her first kill there. But I worry it was so long ago that they might never be able to prove it.

I imagine that like Shipman they'll just add it to her kill count. He was only convicted of 15, they ended up confirming 284.

My heart breaks for all parents and extended family of every baby that was killed or harmed by her. Throughout trial they've maintained dignity and decorum. I've said in previous post if you have a baby needing neonatal care you hand over all care and keeping your baby alive to the professionals. Never would you even contemplate that anyone in their profession would harm them.

The comments section is a lot more refreshing. I feel like the level of doubt has plateaued and is just your usual number of idiots and conspiracy theorists.

It’s quite clear that many that doubt the convictions don’t understand the strength circumstancial evidence can have. Some even think circumstantial evidence shouldn’t be allowed in UK courts. That if it’s circumstantial then that in itself creates doubt. Which of course it doesn’t.

I also see a comment like this which just shows how people think she’s innocent when they know literally nothing about the case. If you would ‘love to know’ who was in charge, then they can’t have read much of anything! Especially just days after he and his exec team just gave evidence themselves in the inquiry.

Hello! Nice to see your name pop up 🤗
I think you could be right but maybe one possible difference could be if there are living victims with complications. 33% of her shift at LWH had “life threatening incidents” (that’s staggering 😵💫) so what if some of those poor babies are left with brain damage, learning disabilities or physical disabilities like the babies in the first indictment 😔
I am guessing they couldn’t pursue claims if she’s not found guilty and some of them might need care like baby G. I can’t imagine how they must feel waiting all this time and knowing there might not be justice for their child. Hopefully some comfort that she’s never getting out of prison but not sure that would be enough for me 💔

Wouldn't it be something if in the course of Op Hummingbird, they find more damning evidence from when she was starting out and less careful that even the truthers can't explain away.

Who’s in the gang of 3048648291 at LWH. Is it also just such a tit unit in the period she was there and then miraculously not in the period before or after 😵💫
I would think removing the tubes of babies in almost half her shifts also increased the busyness and acuity of that unit wouldn’t it Tony Chambers you big thicko.

I’m sure they hope she will confess one day although I doubt it whilst she’s still got people championing her. And even if she did, they still won’t believe it and say she was coerced.

They charged Wayne Couzens with indecent exposure when he was already on a whole life order for his crimes against Sarah Everard. He did plead guilty so it saved everyone from a trial. But I don’t think already being locked up on a WLO means CPS won’t see it as worthless.

But then the prospect of another lengthy trial the same scale as the last one is different to Couzens indecent exposure ones.

But I do hope if they have the evidence they do charge her. Presuming that is what the families would want. I think I would want that justice for my child.

Just found this on Shipman and additional charges.

It’s being mentioned a few times now in the Thirwell inquiry so it must be more known that she was indeed harming long before, another set of poor parents having to go through it.
At the end of the BBC article it mentioned this
The news comes after more than 50 specialists, including neonatologists, anaesthetists, pathologists, biochemists, toxicologists, statisticians, former senior NHS managers and retired police officers gathered at a central London venue this weekend to discuss flaws in the case against her.
Has there been any mention of this from the twitter lot? I presume it must be defence trying to come up with something, however they are missing some plumbers!

I saw a few sharing it yesterday but not seen any details. What a waste of time! I would like to know who's behind it though.

Kay Burley on Sky News has just announced that police have questioned Letby and are investigating further incidents at COCH and LWH. Let's hope charges will follow and shut up these high profile idiots who try to defend her.

Interesting about the gathering. I wonder what the drop out rate will be as they learn more about each baby. Assuming Mark McDick is fully transparent of course. Or if they are so far down the rabbit hole they can’t get out.
