I cringe so much whenever we hear of her parents involvement. I would be mortified to have my parents interfering in my life like this, and I certainly wouldn't do it to my children.
The phrase "our nightmare" is very telling. Whoever mentioned enmeshment recently was spot on.

Why are Daily Fail so invested in Lucy Letby's "innocence"... they are at it every day.
Is it because she is "pretty" (I never really thought so, personally) and middle-class? There's always an agenda with them, am curious as to what it is here.

I wouldn’t describe her as pretty either. ‘Plain Jane’ maybe.
They are hedging their bets on her being the next Sally Clark and this being the next postoffice scandal story. The Telegraph are at it to.
this is the full two pages. It’s actually the statement that got read out to the consultants and at the board meeting.
And this was her parents statement.
Lucy's statement is all me, me, me. What about the baby's that were dying or almost dying.
" I was unexpectedly informed in July 2016, that I was to be removed", wasn't that unexpected the two triplets had just died for no reason, you had been involved with 12 baby deaths over a year, you had been moved from night to day shifts and yet the unexplained collapses followed you.
" I feel my removal is more for your benefit then mine" it's for the baby's protection. Stops you attacking them!
I wonder if Noname was leaking these comments back to her, they surely wouldn't have been said in her earshot.

Nothing to be gained by saying she's guilty - she's already in prison.

I know she was the face of the campaign before there were any concerns however it’s just another one of those ‘you couldn’t make this tit up’ moments isn’t it?Some reporting from today

Makes me think probably Powell was behind making her the face of the campaign as she was her favourite and she was young and fresh at that time. I'm sure Letby and her parents enjoyed her special status and Letby would have revelled in the attention.
Probably another reason the execs weren’t keen for her to be the reason for the deaths - esp Tony with his degree in Marketing and Comms using a nurse that turned out to be a baby serial killer as the face of his campaign (that he bleated on at Thirlwall that he was really proud of) 
Sorry if this bit has already been brought up and I have forgotten it. But I’m reading Sue’s transcript and came across this evidence which is a call with Ian Pace which I think is legal advice from a HR perspective.
Even as early as September 2016 they were considering ways to remove the consultant - not sure if this is Dr J or Dr B? I know we’ve heard this before but I thought it was much later eg early 2017.
ETA: carried on reading the transcript and it’s definitely about Dr B.
The whole meeting report shows how concerned they are for Letby but then they can so casually discuss removal of a consultant from his job entirely? They weren’t even discussing that about her.
He was a complete nuisance to them wasn’t he? And thank goodness he was or goodness knows how many extra victims she would have.
And also I know this is stating the obvious but they were prepared to follow company policy for Letby when it was demanded (eg grievance) but can’t even give the consultants the reassurance of following speak out safely policy. And going as far as plotting to remove at least one of them. They also avoided following other policies and recommendations like disciplinary, safeguarding etc because it wasn’t clear / difficult to balance / nursing team had no concerns etc etc.
So Letby is protected and supported in every way possible and the consultants are screwed over.
The only consolation is that there seemed to be a number of occasions she thought she would be going back to the unit and it didn’t happen. I take glee in knowing she probably thought she got away with it and then how angry she would be when she was stopped again.

Wonder what nurse was on shift that Sat night… could it be a reason why the defence didn’t use this duck-up against the Dr in the trial? Cause she was there too
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. I don’t really believe in coincidences where she is concerned.
