The parents of the babies are sitting there and these people still have the audacity to squirm and bull their way out of everything. Crazy.
It's just the way managers think - looking for the best ways to protect themselves. Taking measures against an employee is time-consuming and stressful - as we saw when LL was removed from the NNU. After she killed the triplets the managers wanted Letby to carry on working as per usual. Then Steve Brearey asked Kelly and Harvey to confirm in writing that they were happy for Letby to continue on the NNU when all the paediatric consultants did not want her there. At this point the consequences for the managers of Letby continuing to kill when the consultants has warned them outweighed the fuss she might make for being removed.
It was similar in 2017. The managers were all for Letby returning to the NNU. A barrister met with the consultants and the outcome was a referral to the Child Death Overview Panel who said call the police.
At no point it seems did the managers require any evidence to remove Letby - their decisions were entirely guided by how much pressure they were put under relative to the inconvenience Letby would cause them if she was removed.
Hate to think how low the bar must be if the likes of these are considered award-worthy

This is too big to screen shot but COCH did a chart just like the CPS. They actually included shift before too. And this is looking at 11 babies that died.
Only one baby, column U&V they have no mark for her being on shift for. I think that baby must have died within the same shift they were born/admitted to NNU as it has N/A for shift before for everyone.
4 babies on the chart were not on the indictment, 3 of them she was there for.
