Debbie Peacock…extremely well qualified on paper but in reality a complete waste of space. Can’t read data, can’t recall. What did she actually do? Bustle between wards looking important with a bunch of files but actually doing nothing. All the managerial stuff are a bunch of incompetents.
Amen!! There is such a stark contrast between the testimony of those on the “shop floor” and those in these office/managerial type roles isn’t there! Those on the shop floor seem to sensitively accept their mistakes, they offer their feelings of guilt and emotions more freely. They give detailed and careful thought in their reflections.
The managerial madams shirk, waffle and deflect. Don’t recall anything that makes them look bad and then do recall any shred of the slightest ability to make themselves look less responsible.

Didn't Lucy's mum have a reputation for being stroppy and rude to people watching the trial. Could she have rubbed Judith up the wrong way?

Bloody hell. John’s unfashionable and big Sue is haggered. More brutal than us lot 😅
Sue is going to hate reading this. What an unflattering description. Made me laugh it's no more than she deserves after the way she's behaved

Only just finished Debbie PeaCOCK. Wow she doesn’t come across well. The way she starts with her career like she was the best thing since sliced bread and then just looks a total idiot by the end tbh. Total deflection of responsibility.
Just the fact alone that she’s aware of all these meetings, reviews, coroner, the fact SB is asking for all this action- and she’s just saying I thought it was natural causes and I also didn’t do anything cos no issue with competencies… if it were natural causes that they had pinpointed why was there all this ongoing investigation and action???? She’s definitely not a simpleton, she was a solicitor so her not recalling anything is very tactical imo.

This is interesting at the end. She claims letby wasn’t on for other deaths and lady Thirlwall is like well can you help us with that, which other deaths and then Debbie is like “oh I don’t know. I don’t know who was at trial I don’t know the babies”
🙄 very much sounds to me like they are politely trying to say to her urrrm no she wasn’t. There’s no way they wouldn’t know that!
*when lady Thirlwall says “she wasn’t on duty for other deaths” she is repeating back what Peacock has said not stating a fact for all the thicko truthers following along 😘

She's so deliberately obtuse. Obfuscation is the name of the game for these dreadful and incompetent managers. No issue with her competencies? Well of course there wasn't she was MURDERING the babies.

The paediatrician consultants who were the actual experts were terrified the thought of Letby going back. While the nursing managers and big bods were happy to sweep it all under the carpet without knowing all the facts.

There just doesn’t seem to be any accountability does there? Everyone seems to think it was the job of another Board or Committee or manager to take the lead on this. I don’t know whether it’s over complicated management structures, people not feeling they had the clinical knowledge to question what was happening or what. I work in a similar type of organisation (higher education)although nothing I do would have this type of impact thankfully but well meaning people who initially want to do a good job do get completely institutionalised, demotivated and ‘quiet quit’ because the bureaucracy and trying to get a straight answer on anything is virtually impossible.
Absolutely not an excuse because surely if you had well respected consultant(s) saying they had genuine concerns of harm you would just make sure you escalate it at every opportunity even if just to cover your own backside!

The Annemarie Lawrence transcript is very interesting. She seems very honest and capable. I think SB was moaning about stuff she really wasn't too involved with as she'd only been in her role for about 8 weeks. Also confirmed that Ruth is dodgy af.

Three judges for Letby tomorrow. Not sure if that means it was rejected by a single judge.

and 3 different judges to the first appeal hearing. I wonder if we will hear more this time when there is no retrial pending or will have to wait for the judgement. I want to hear what Myers has come up with this time!

So after this hearing it will have been 8 separate judges that would have reviewed her appeals at some stage? And assuming they come to the same conclusion and refuse the appeal, we are meant to believe they are all conspiring against her? LOL
(that’s laugh out loud, Karen Rees, not lots of love)

It must have already been rejected by a single judge. The media don't seem to have been interested in baby K's appeal until now.
Ben Myers will probably say Lucy's past convictions shouldnt have been used. Didn't Cack say he was furious at them being used at the trial?

yes I’ve heard this mooted before. Surely he will try more than that? I don’t think he can use the door data error as they said in the trial defence accepted it was a genuine mistake.

I wonder if he is going to try and discredit Dr J somehow and get him removed as a witness, like he tried to do with Dewi Evans?

BM is going to have found a hospital where it is policy to watch an extremely premature baby destat and not put their tubes back just in case they self correct. It’s the gold standard of care.
