I thought my Googling skills were top notch but they are, in fact, crap. Where is everyone finding the live updates or a stream of today's session? I can't find one anywhere! I am reading snippets from BBC after the fact.
There hasn’t been anything live for a few days now. Maybe as it’s perceived as a biggy today somebody might cover it. Let’s hope for Judith 🤞🏻

Judith is there today 👍🏻

Oh dear.
it seems Lucy is not the only one to be unable to self-reflect

Whenever the telegraph publish a Letby article now, they include a random graph. Like this one. Which is bloody meaningless. Comparison to other hospitals is irrelevant. Cause of death is what matters. Chester could have had only one extra death but if that baby was murdered, it still matters.

I’m not trying to be ageist here, I’m in my 40s myself. But I have the perception that it’s the older nurses that seemed to pander to Lucy and couldn’t see past her nice nurse act, whereas the younger ones seemed to have a better measure of her. Does anyone else see this?

Maybe it’s because she would suck up to the senior nurses and act superior towards her peers? Also the younger nurses could probably tell she was bad vs inexperienced because they could better remember how their knowledge and skills were at that point in their career.

I hope they give her a right grilling, can’t wait to hear what parents lawyers ask her.
Is she the only one so far that has said consultants were difficult.
I Bet she still thinks a Letby is innocent..

I am 100% of the same view - if they were 40s/50s 10yrs ago so are they like Gen Zs? Maybe millennials onwards are a bit more sus of people

yes I think it could be exactly this. And it worked well for her really, didn’t it?

Nearing retirement and not looking for any trouble. Probably a case of not wanting to see any faults.

She probably made sure she was witchy/gossipy about the same people EP etc didn't like to fit in and also get top cover from her when things went awry.

The fact Janet Cox was employed by that hospital until 2022 is astounding.

So basically she thinks her complete failure to act was justified and she has no regrets.

What a contrast to the doctors who *did* do something to protect the babies and are wracked with guilt for not having done more.

Just reminding myself that somebody had a report about Letby commenting to a parent that they shouldn’t get their hopes up about their babies survival chances in March 2016. I would love to know who took that complaint and what they did about it

I honestly wonder if killing was just incidental, in that she loved the drama and grief she caused, then the praise got for being good in a crisis and that was what she was after. She will be getting similar from reliving the families grief laid out in the inquiry, and the adoration from her weird “fans” so I don’t personally think she will be having the urge to kill but I bet she gets involved in prison drama.
So basically she thinks her complete failure to act was justified and she has no regrets.

She was a terrible manager as it was well known she had her favourites and gave preferential treatment to certain staff. She never listened to the consultants' concerns and continued to support a serial killer. Even if the consultants had got it wrong which we now know they hadn't, she should have still taken it seriously as patients should have been the main priority. She sounds like she's still in the Letby camp despite everything that's gone before and she is coming across as obnoxious.

They’ve told themselves that they could never have known (that’s if they have even accepted Letby did this) yet that’s the whole point - they couldn’t have known so what did they do to protect the babies whilst they found out? It’s a tit, unjustifiable excuse.

The lack of awareness that they did everything to protect Letby and nothing to protect the babies is unforgivable. They didn’t have to think she was harming them to do something.
