Not surprised she took the stand, her final performance and last chance to experience the outside world. Also she absolutely had to in order to keep convincing Janet, Dawn etc that she’s innocent. Would’ve looked suss if she hadn’t.

The parents not appearing is very very interesting though. Put yourself in their shoes (as well as Letby’s) - a NG on this would go some way towards casting doubt on all the others, if you were of the mindset that she’s innocent. Of course, for the rest of us, that would be one hell of a reach but you’d think they’d be there trying to grab on to literally anything. But they’re not, and that’s the only surprise I’ve seen about this retrial.

Oh and hi again everyone! Hope you’re all doing well.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I do feel compassion for them. Of course they've handled it all badly. How could anyone handle this nightmare world they've woken up in well?

Maybe LL and/or BM requested LL's parents not to come. I wondered whether their presence impacted her performance when being questioned last time (eg the awkwardness of denying that she knew what go commando meant). She might have been embarrassed saying in front of her parents.

Or she's decided they've been through enough and wants to keep them separate from it as much as they can. I imagine as soon as pics are published of them entering/leaving court their every day lives become quite unpleasant.

Or one of them might be ill 🤷🏼‍♀️

Any sympathy for them went out the window when mummy dearest had her screaming fit. Whilst the parents of all those babies murdered, left severely disabled and harmed, remained totally dignified throughout. Although Letby still tried to dob Baby E’s mum in for saying something didn’t she? Praying she called her a sour faced, cheap, adulterous, basic, beige, baby killing bleep 🙏

Maybe her dad couldn’t find the right bag for life to go with his outfit?
I’d guess they’ve both got ailing health. She’s probably sent them to an early grave. Sucks for Lucy 🥰

Maybe her parents are just sick of attending trials and feel (to them) the outcome of this one doesn't make any difference.

Hi. Just checking in as another one who followed the older thread and have been back for this. Mainly following updates here, rather than the trial itself and firmly in the G camp. Glad to see familiar 'faces' and, like everyone else, gagging to know more about Janet's meltdown!

I wonder if Janet was her mentor when LL was a student. Maybe they were close and she can't accept someone she taught and mentored turned out to be a serial killer.

Isn’t she a qualified nurse? I always took vulnerable to mean someone with learning difficulties… surely not 😬 or maybe Janet is gay and was in love with LL possibly

I'll share a lil tit bit from Tuesday to tide you all over 😂

The NG fella who is particularly enamored with Lucy (the one who was taking extensive notes during the cross-examination) approached BM as he left the courtroom. Standing next to him, I heard him ask BM if he could deliver a letter 'full of information' to him. BM graciously declined, saying, "I can't, sorry." The man, whom I'll refer to as "D," pleaded with BM again, but BM declined again and swiftly walked away. Awkward much 😭:poop:

He then sat down with the older NG fella, and looked to share notes, theories etc. My eyes were hurting from too much eye-rolling, watching and listening (D in particular) who true believes in her innocence. I could briefly hear D outside the court in the morning discussing the TPN bags, but couldn't quite hear what his point was, but it sounded like a word salad tbh.

Is this the same ‘D’ who is very vocal on Twitter about other cases too, and very anti-Cheshire Police / Warrington council? Not biased then 😂
