Great update and info for us all, thank you. Maybe the bits you are unsure about sharing can wait until after the verdict. I don’t think there will be a 3rd retrial if it’s a hung jury again.

Interesting about Nick being tired. Is that tired of her?! Did you see him cross examine her last year?

I saw BM question her last year and there were times he tried to press her for an answer that she wouldn’t (or couldn’t) give. I wouldn’t say he gives her an easy time. I guess a fair trial is making sure the defendant explains themselves clearly for the jury and if they don’t really answer then the barrister must get them to try again. Iguess if you are genuinely innocent and misunderstood the question or weren’t clear enough, your barrister should help you. Of course this just makes Lucy look worse because she is not innocent.

I thought BNE was Absolutly done in with her !! Tbh. I’d of been done in with her after baby A!!! She’s draining !!! Even myers was dragging answers out of her that was “potentially” ment to help her!!! bizarre.
She’d be happy to talk about her wonderful knowledge an how smart she is all day … get her to tell truth an ya would need water board her!!! IMO

That’s good, it feels so bloody quick! The closing statements must be really short.

I must admit I’m a little worried about the verdict for this one. I hope I’m wrong of course! I’m struggling to articulate why. I think maybe because this is such a short trial and the last trial was a pattern of behaviour across multiple babies and many many days of her struggling on the stand. I know they know she’s a convicted baby killer but that didn’t seem to be enough for the last jury either i just hope they have seen enough to feel confident Dr J is credible; and she isn’t.

Ooh what was the hissy fit about!!

This stands out to me but I’m not good at articulating myself. To me, the other jury were the ones who made her a convicted serial killer, so it was new and shocking to think about, and it took them a long time and lots of wrangling to give the verdicts they did. This lot have it set in stone she was guilty of the others, and only have one baby to focus on. They only have to deliver justice for baby K, they haven’t got the pressure of making history and sending someone down for their whole life, it’s already happened. That’s how I see it anyway, so I’m hopeful for a just result.

oh I forgot … yesterday when we was queing go in me in mi daughter heard Letbys best pal laughing n joking saying “Lucy says she is just giving her daggers the whole time Lucy is very annoyed”

now I don’t know who her and “Lucy “ been talking about but apparently Lucy isn’t very happy …..

She had a wobble on the first day after the jury was sworn in on the Wednesday - it was a list of who could go into court 7 and was told that she might not be allowed in.

she was all tears and stropped of to the toilets.

Think she thought she’d be afforded the same privilege as last year going to court first before LL was a convicted killer but that wasn’t the case hence the tears

Was very surprised that it worked though & she was front row with her husband.

I said to my daughter who is only 18 xx … if she had done that to u I would of been in court number 9 for pushing her down them stairs (The stairs where right next to where she had her hissy fit xx

Yep difficult … but after conviction … surly u shouldn’t have a go at a young girl in defence of some1 who has got 14 WLO.
I personally felt sorry for the lass … she would not of spoken to my daughter like that!!! lol xx

We’ve all seen how manipulated people have been over these few years by Letby, its awful what she’s done with what she’s been convicted with also manipulating people that think they were close to her but they need to behave in court

Not a clue who she was referring too …. Me n daughter just thought it was a bit strange that a convicted multiple murderer would have been laughing n joking (how Janet was) about a person in the public gallery …. Surely letby had more important things to concentrate on … I personally never seen any1 even smirk!!!! (Appart from Janet cox )
But then again every1 is wrong according to letby
