I read to of the family statements and I’m sorry but I can’t read anymore for my own mental health, those poor poor parents. Bring on the sentencing and the whole life order even BM couldn’t argue against!

Just watching the Panorama doc, HOW are her friends saying they stand by her when the evidence is there!?
How dare she not face those parents after what she has taken from them. They should force her to sit there and hear what those parents have to say, they deserve that at the very least. I hope she is sat there in her cell dreading what’s to come, knowing she is going to spend her days in prison.
I actually think that it's better that LL and her dopey parents didn't come today.

This day is about them telling us who their babies were, how loved they were. We don't know their names but we shed tears for them, those little brave fighters. We cuddled our own that little bit tighter, we ached for the ordeal the parents were going through. We lit candles and wished for strength for their parents. They were loved and beloved for their very short lives.
LL hiding away shows even those still on the fence, what a cowardly bleep she is. Her parents who aided and abetted a murderer are hiding away in shame. Today isn't about her. It's about justice and those little ones.

Yes I agree with this in a way. She is nothing, as the mum said. She doesn't even deserve to be seen, to be given an audience for her reactions or noticed or paid any attention to whatsoever. She'll hear about it all soon enough and nobody will comment or report or care. She can rot alone.

Long time (intermittent) lurker on these threads. I’ve followed this case since it first broke in 2018. As details emerged, I realised that I couldn’t follow it in detail as it would take too much a mental toll on me. I can’t believe sentencing day is finally here - I’ve been weepy all morning and can’t stop crying on and off. Thinking of all the families today

I just thought - the victim statement of Baby E/F, where she said the mask slipped by not appearing in court... it's so true. If Letby is the nice, kind-hearted, soft-spoken soul that she believes she is, she'd appear in court to hear her fate, and to hear these statements.

A statement is read out by Mr Astbury from the father of Child G.
He said after a long wait at the hospital, a 12-week scan was positive.
He recalls Child G’s mother had given birth in the bathroom to a baby girl, who was "so premature" but was "doing well".
"For me, what has happened has damaged my faith".
"He [God] saved her, but the devil found her."
He said Child G should have been at the Countess for just a few weeks. After her transfer, following an attempted murder, he could tell Child G was different.
When she was brought home, Child G was still "so small", weighing just 5lb. She began to miss developmental goals, and the extent of her brain damage became clearer two years later at a scan, and she has been hospitalised numerous times since.
He recalls other occasions on which Child G was poorly and had to be ventilated. He says the mother finds it difficult to trust people in hospitals, after what had happened.
He says when Child G has a bad night, the mother has a day bed to be with her. Prior to this purchase of the day bed, the mother was sleeping on the floor.
He says the concern is what happens if Child G outlives the parents, and who would care for her.
He says their home has been adapted to care for Child G's needs, and the council asked for £10,000 to pay for the adaptation.
He says when they go on holiday, "meticulous planning" is required. A fridge is required in the room, for Child G's medication.
The family are "limited" in doing normal things.
He says Child G will never have a first boyfriend, a kiss, or get married. She will always be in her chair, dependent on others. He adds Child G is stubborn and remains strong.
On the police investigation, he says he wanted it over so the family could get on with their lives.
Child G is in the process of being lined up for spinal surgery.

Oh god just read that baby D’s death hasn’t even been officially registered because they didn’t have a cause of death, and now they can do it. Jesus, just when you think you can’t hear anything worse about what she did, something else comes to light
