I've been with one of my lovely grannies for a few hours this afternoon, just jumped in the car and heard the very end of her being charged. Wow!!!! I'm lost for words really. I'm still out at work and will be until late tonight, I've never felt such relief!! Rip you beautiful bunch of babies

This woman is evil. I honestly hope those stories about how unpopular women who’ve hurt children are in prison, are all true and that Letby is constantly looking over her shoulder for the rest of her life. I’ve in fact heard to the contrary; prison life is its own beast, the crimes on the outside fade a little and people willingly eat Rose West’s cakes for example… but still I hope Letby suffers and rots.

If Letby’s family fails to come out with a statement of how sorry they are then that will say all I need to know about them and give me a good idea of one reason why Letby is the way she is.

I’ve not been active on here as it was all getting a bit much but I’m so relieved there has finally been justice for those poor babies and families but what a bittersweet day. The heartache for the parents that their child will still never be brought back because of her evil actions must be indescribable. My thoughts are with them. What an emotional and heartbreaking day.

It makes me so angry she has refused to be there for some of the verdicts and sentencing as well. Cowardly witch. She should be brought up kicking and screaming! And how naive is her mum!!

I can’t help but feel sad for the 2 counts she’s been found NG for. Could they be retried or just the hung jury charges?

I don’t usually encourage violence but I hope this is terrorised in prison!!!

Just reading the reporting before catching up with the thread. But I'm in floods! Heartbroken for the parents of those with not guilty and no verdicts and heartbroken for all the families have been dragged through with this trial and the years of waiting. There can never be enough justice for what she has done.

And how cold and calm she is being arrested and questioned, she is truly evil and did it on purpose.

I think what makes this so shocking to digest for me personally and probably a few of you too is that this is the first trial I’ve followed live. I’ve always been into TC but following this case through and not hearing about it years after she was sentenced I think really hits closer to home. This is history unfolding and it’s a lot easier to disassociate how awful the crimes were in older cases as you’re not watching it play out. It’s impossible to do that here with how fresh everything is. Just a thought

Makes me think about those idiots defending her like 'oh but there were handover sheets for babies she didnt attack' and 'oh the facebook searches don't mean anything because she searched for babies she didnt attack too'.... OR maybe theyre ALL babies she DID attack and we'll see all of those brought to court eventually

I have no sympathy for her parents now. I reserved judgement on them attending court every day because I think as a parent you would want to hear the evidence for yourself and we had no idea what their thoughts were, the devastated looks could have been the realisation she had done this. But her mum’s reaction in court to the verdicts is disgusting. How bleeping dare she. The babies parents have had to sit day in and day out and hear what happened to their babies and bite their tongues so not to be in contempt of court yet it’s Lucy’s own mum that has the emotional outburst.
They can duck OFF.

Very well-said. To not even have the dignity to accept the verdict quietly, even if you disagree, in a case of this magnitude. A pity she wasn’t done for contempt.

Letby is obviously rum, and for her outburst, I can say Letby’s mother is trash.

If it’s any comfort she will live in a sort of endless waiting period even if she gets used to it- she will never have any normal life milestones or the freedom to choose what to do. It’s a pseudo-life really. Even if she goes to Rampton everything she does will be heavily controlled.

There are a lot of mothers in prison for minor issues and they will not take kindly to her. The prisoners she can interact with will not be pleasant people given she’ll be with the worst ones.

She’ll never give an answer as that will be her admitting guilt. She’s a narc, it’s never them, it’s always someone else.

Yea the police said they’ll be visiting her in prison to see if she’ll confess to any more crimes… spoiler she won’t, she’ll just prolong their suffering even more

I thought that some families will break the anonymity after verdicts but it seems I was wrong.

It’s early days yet. I hope the media leave well alone and let each family come to a decision about what’s right for them

duck only just got round to listening to the interview with Baby E and Baby F’s parents, because I’m struggling to keep up with everything. Gutting. There’s something about the spoken word and video that is making this more real, as someone else said it’s no longer us relying on our minds eye. Horrible to watch.
