Not a trial but Sarah Everards murder will stay with me forever, so chilling. Me and my partner had a huge argument about it actually as I was trying to explain to him why we all felt the way we did and he just didn’t get it. Ive had it drilled into me since I was a little girl to not walk alone at night and if I have to then to be on the phone to someone, no earphones, don’t get into anyone’s car and he was oblivious and said I was been dramatic🤬

I've also been following the Delphi murders, the Idaho 4 (which has got abit confusing for me now!) and also the disappearance and (obvious) murder of Ana Walshe but there doesn't seem to be much happening with that one currently! A historic case I 'enjoyed' (not the right word!) reading into was the murder of JonBenet.

They just don’t get it do they? They’ve never had to live with the same fear daily, having to keep hold of your keys as a potential weapon to defend yourself, always looking around you and on edge when out and about after dark or just avoiding it altogether because it’s too risky. I remember having deep discussions with my husband about it at the time.

When it came out who had done it, I felt sick. This was someone who was meant to be in a position of trust.

Well if they are starting at 10am and still finishing at 4 I bet we won’t get any verdict after 3pm. Seems sitting after 4 is a big no no

Delphi is the biggest one I have ever followed in terms of long running - I honestly never thought they would catch him! So relieved they did. Everytime i see Doug Carter get emotional over the girls it gets to me because you can see how much him and his team have done to get justice for those girls.

Idaho 4 I have followed but not quite so closely.

Sian O'Callaghan & Libby Squire both really got to me. Two young women who were just out doing what young women do and fell into the wrong hands.

Claudia Lawrence - think it is pretty obvious what happened there but until someone needs to break whatever pact of silence is going on I don't think she will be found.
I do still think about Claudia Lawrence too actually - her poor family not getting any answers.

Nope, they don’t! And it had never crossed my mind before that they might not get it, it was never something I had thought about. It’s such a normal thing for me to be so protective over ourselves and be fearful in certain situations that I’d never even questioned it before and thought hang on a minute, how is this ok?!

Finding out it was him was a right kick in the teeth wasn’t it? All of our worst nightmares, my heart breaks for her

I have spoken to my mum this morning about everything that is going on and I feel a bit better for having spoken to her. I just need to do as I have been doing with the family member previously and take a step back. I was doing so well and my wellbeing improved tremendously so time to do that again
Absolutely. You have to get yourself to a place of emotional safety. I don't know your circumstances, but I've found it's often the mental conflict that really hurts: thinking they may change, or things will be different. When you accept that's not going to happen it's a bit easier to maintain a safe distance. Mind yourself, there's only the one of you ❤

I want to know what happened to Damien nettles and Johnny gosche. A friend from the island told me what they were told happened by those who knew Damien and that it was the mcnamara guy. Obviously locals knowing people from the time talk and I would love to see him put to rest properly for his family.

Its something I have drilled into my brothers to try and understand how different it is for a woman walking alone vs a man walking alone, even during the day. It's mad how even just this morning I was walking and there was a man in front of me, he slowed his walk slightly so I ended up walking past him, and it was an area of a river walk with no other people around. I was instantly taking note of his clothes, hair, face etc 'just in case', and was conscious the whole way until I got back to the main road. Its just something guys don't even question or think about when out and about...

I followed the Star Hobson trial, I was heavily pregnant at the time and it really got to me, broke my heart and I haven’t sobbed like that since! I try to stay away from reading things to do with child abuse as I get in my head too much, I feel like I can never stop reading even if it gets too much for me because they lived through it and couldn’t just stop reading so I owe that to them. I don’t know, anyone else like this?
I know what you mean, I am probably a bit of a weirdo but in my job, I read a lot about tit happening to children (basically everything you can imagine - though haven’t had any “murdered”, but have had shaken baby deaths) and I sometimes feel a bit desensitised, which I don’t ever want to be. So I read awful stuff to make sure I still feel shock, repulsion etc.😑

The Andrew Gosden case baffles me completely. I’ve been checking in for years to see if there’s been any developments but nothing. Unfortunately the police really failed with this case as they didn’t check the CCTV cameras for a long time afterwards (can’t remember how long but they’d been wiped by the time they did). I really hope they find out what happened one day.
---
Also Asha Degree, the little girl from North Carolina
Last year 2 men were arrested over Andrews disappearance and bailed, nothing has come of it so far though.
He would have been 30 years this year was 14 when disappeared, his poor parents not knowing all this time 💔

Just a couple of notes on 2 of the cases mentioned here.

Andrew Gosden had to have been groomed and if you Google ‘Anthony Marsh Doncaster’ you’ll find a story about 2 scumbags in that area who were active during the time Andrew went missing. Marsh was a travelling salesman. I don’t know if police looked into him as a possible link but there’s parallels and coincidences that are eery. Obviously they’re investigating two London based suspects but I wouldn’t be surprised if Marsh was the link.

McCann - I would put everything I own on Brueckner not only being the culprit but also I would put money on him being a pan-European SK. I’m absolutely certain of this for various reasons.

For me also the Chris Watts case … I hope he speaks and tells the full truth one day. He did not act alone in those murders, so much left not investigated 😡

Delphi, I couldn't believe it when it came out they had found the killer. I thought it was going cold, that one.

I'm following the Idaho 4 but not as closely as at first as Letby has taken over. Need to catch up.

I followed Star's trial. That was the first trial I ever really followed. The reporting was top-notch.

Arthur's case I couldn't follow. I sobbed and sobbed over him. Hearing him crying why does no one love me, tbh just even thinking about him now and how he could have been saved makes me teary.
