Random but one of my best moments on the thread was when Curly Watts was posted as Dr.NN.

Not a trial but Sarah Everards murder will stay with me forever, so chilling. Me and my partner had a huge argument about it actually as I was trying to explain to him why we all felt the way we did and he just didn’t get it. Ive had it drilled into me since I was a little girl to not walk alone at night and if I have to then to be on the phone to someone, no earphones, don’t get into anyone’s car and he was oblivious and said I was been dramatic🤬

I'm sick of people all over the internet being like oh get ready guys it's happening my mate on the inside knows. Stop using a case involving dead/injured babies to feel important and get a thrill for yourself ffs.

As this part (I’m sure there will be more charges) of the trial nears a conclusion, I cant help thinking how fascinating this whole experience has been. To have a live trial, with a forum like this AND a podcast, it’s been an incredible insight into the legal system, court, crime etc. I’ve learnt so much.

The kindness and inclusivity of this forum had been mind blowing. So many strangers on the internet discussing the same trial, allowing new points of views and opinions, thoroughly researching and debating everything and even supporting each other with off topic issues. It really feels like a friends group chat on here (99% of the time). Rather than drive my family insane with the tiny details I think of at 1am, I’ve been able to come here and not feel judged for asking possibly silly questions, that may have already been discussed.

I can’t wait for the verdict and all the new information that will come out, but can’t help feeling a bit sad that this chat will fizzle out.

I’ve also really enjoyed the podcast, I hope there are more in future for other trials.

Think we might all have to buy a Matalan candle to burn when letby is dragged down to the cells forever 😆

Fuck.

Anyone else just sobbing.

I spent the last hour ignoring the news to spend time with my seven year old, hugging him and making clay. Safe in the knowledge that I could do it and those poor poor parents can't.

She deserves all that is coming to her.

Just bobbing in to say 'hi'. I am lurking and following in as much as possible but been struggling with personal stuff, like so many of you. Love to you all, in all your different circumstances.

Some people have (IMO, unfairly) made rare, but odd digs about the humour in this thread. FWIW, dark humour has gotten me through the worst of many a seemingly impossible situation and if I didn't have a sense of the ridiculous, I probably wouldn't be here. I don't see laughing and joking in times of tragedy as abnormal in the slightest. You're not in any way/ sense making fun of the people affected by the tragedy. Most of the time, people in here are taking the piss out of themselves and each other. Anyone with a brain can see the compassion and concern for the victims in all this, throughout the thread.

FWIW, I'm not too worried about the jury taking time over their deliberating, despite being VERY frustrated. They have huge amounts of info to trawl through and nobody will be able to say they have tossed in their verdicts too quickly and have lacked due diligence. Just hope it's not resting on 2 or 3 obstinate buggers, who don't want to be seen to be backing down. They need to get it right, in as best they can. Am definitely hoping they do find guilty on at least most of the counts, based on everything I've heard and read. Like everyone else, let's hope that it's very soon, now.

ETA: I still maintain that there will be loads to follow when this stage of the trial is over, with many shocks and surprises still to come. Also respect the restraint some people in here have shown in containing any info they know that might affect the proceedings.

Also ETA: Dickie Donut, up your arse, you utter twonk.

Here you go, enjoy 😂

Putting thoughts to paper again. No matter what side of the fence you’re on, I think this applies to all of us right now. ✍

Hark! The solemn chamber, fraught with hopeful dread,
Ye jurors, clad in black, await what lies ahead.
Reminiscent of a witch hunt, is what some do proclaim
Poor old Lucy Letby?
A scapegoat tied in blame?

Within the crowded realm, where justice casts its gaze,
A nurse stands accused, in these tumultuous days.
Whispers travel through the air, a tormentous murmur,
As all await the verdict, an outcome they prefer.

Lucy Letby, a name etched on worried minds,
In anxious hush, they hope, their doubts begin to bind.
Her deeds laid bare, a tale of life and death entwined,
Each juror ponders deeply, with open hearts and mind.

The chamber filled with tension, a somber silent plea,
For innocence or guilt, they must soon decree.
With furrowed brows and weary hearts, the jurors deliberate,
Over testimony woven, and hints of twisted fate.

Oh Lord when will we know

I have spoken to my mum this morning about everything that is going on and I feel a bit better for having spoken to her. I just need to do as I have been doing with the family member previously and take a step back. I was doing so well and my wellbeing improved tremendously so time to do that again
