I've felt all along that it would go to a majority and she would be found guilty of some, but not all. I think she is guilty of all, and more, but it's a high bar, reasonable doubt isn't balance of probability where you can just say "We found her guilty of these, so she must also be guilty of that". No one wants appeals on an unsound verdict for any reason.

I still have faith that she's going down for the rest of her natural. "Be it long or short" as HMTLQ said. Admittedly in a non serial killer context.

Seriously though, she’s going down. Maybe not for every charge, which will be a travesty; however, there’s no way they can find her NG on everything. “I am evil. I did this. I killed them on purpose because I am not good enough.”

Yes, I agree, but the longer it goes on for memories start to wane. You know it can’t have the same impact it did a few weeks ago, that’s what I mean, so I’m sure for the jury doubt may be creeping in. It’s hard, this haven’t helped. But then again, it’s a lot of charges.

A question - when did tinned mushy peas get so rit? I bought the Batchelors ones to have with my 'pretend it's a chippy' diet tea rolleyes: ) and they're watery as duck.

And don't start suggesting making them yourself, that's pon behaviour...

Yeh they are tit now, I'm funny with mushy peas they have to be so green in colour that they look like incredible hulk, can't stand those that look a bit wishy washy.

I'm disappointed with food in general lately, just not in mood for it, to be honest I think the no mash on the carvery trauma from last week has left me with emotional damage. Jesus I wanted to smash the place up

On the hung jury thing I actually hope that if they can't find her guilty on ALL charges that they can't reach a verdict on some of them (so hung jury) rather than a definite not guilty because at least then the CPS have a chance to have another go should they decide to.

If she is found NG on some charges then those babies families will never see justice for them but with a hung jury decision they may do in the future.

Having said that can you imagine having to face all this again?

Still think it's a better result that NG though.

End of the day she is going to prison and won't be getting out because no way on earth is she getting NG on all 22 charges.

It might be standard to ask for a majority after a period of time, but here there has been a quick move from asking for unanimous on Friday morning to asking for a majority on Tuesday afternoon of the next day sitting which is interesting.

been lurking on the threads for a good few months - in all honesty i don't know enough about the cases individually but needed to reassure myself that other people thought she was guilty as sin too. i'm an only child but would've had twin siblings (4yrs older) who died at two hours old after being born prematurely. this was 25 years ago so had much less chance of survival than they would've done now and not a case of hospital failings once born, but i really hope these families get justice. knowing how affected my parents obviously still are to this day is heart breaking, but it must be on another level for them knowing it could've turned out so differently if this one person wasn't involved in their care. the cow deserves everything that's coming to her.

also really appreciate how focussed but joyous everyone on this thread has been, it's so lovely to see a proper community with the same goal but not letting it consume and put a dampener on everyday conversation. hope there's a verdict soon

Agree @What's your point this isn't something I'd thought about but you are right.

If it's a hung jury you can at least know you have options in the future and that at least a few decent people believed your story and stood up for your baby. It might be slightly easier to sit with than a not guilty verdict because at least you know lots of people were behind you.

I also think that if the majority are guilty, are that are hung juries will clearly seem like technicalities - basically just not quite enough evidence but everyone knows she did it because she did the rest!

Sending you and your mum and dad all my love. It’s so heartbreaking hearing stories so similar to what’s happened
