I think we all just need to take a deep breath and calm down. I could understand people getting worried if it was just one overall charge but it’s 22 INDIVIDUAL charges. So even if they reach a guilty verdict on some and the rest not guilty or hung jury the whole trial won’t collapse- she will still be sentenced on the guilty charges. For all we know they could have reached a verdict on all but a couple and he’s willing to now accept a majority on those.
Come on fellas let’s be glass half full people.

I’d also like to add if you’re starting to doubt the Jury you’re doubting BNE and then you’d have @DellaC after you

Which bit would you like me to go over for you? 😂 she’s as guilty as sin and she’s going to prison forever x
Exactly. My feeling is that, ad they haven't asked for a majority up till now, they've reached unanimously guilty on most of the charges. Tge last couple are ones they may have previously discussed and come back to and these are the ones (probably only 2 or 3 where they are struggling to reach a verdict)

I think this is gonna be the week 🙌🏻
Also, need to plan a trip to Chester zoo now! Inspired by your review @docmum I've been meaning to go for a couple years but haven't managed between pregnancy/baby. I think she'd be OK with the drive now though.
it was really worth it - stayed the night before nearby so that we both felt fresh. Covered 10km according to my phone and been good for nothing today but it was fantastic. There’s nothing to compare in the NE anyway, but the zoos in the south east are forever ruined now as the animals had so much space and were so well cared for.

I’m telling myself that on the slim chance she does walk that one day she’s gonna be battered within an inch of her life. That’s satisfying enough. But she won’t walk, you don’t get to court with 22 charges and found NG on all of them

Crass but I couldn't resist.

A Scrub Daddy sponge!

also, hi! I think the above may be my first contribution on the LL threads as you’re all so entertaining I’ve spent forever reading everything and never quite catching up. And every time I felt like adding something, someone already had.

one thing I will mention, is that it’s entirely possible she won’t be officially struck off the nursing register if her registration has lapsed, which by now I’m sure it must have. I reported a colleague years ago and it took so long to investigate, that her registration lapsed as she didn’t pay to keep it. Although she got fired, and I was assured by the NMC that if she ever would apply to rejoin the register, it would trigger the Fitness to Practice case, it just felt…I dunno. Frustrating and a big loose end. She would never be able to work with her registration again, but she also never had to declare being struck from a professional register. I’m not sure if this is still the case as it’s been at least 15 years. Just thought it might be of interest to mention.

I read somewhere - may have been here and I'm repeating so apologies if so but think it was Facebook - that in their opinion there's no option where she walks free.

Guilty of any of 22 charges - jail for a long time/life.
Hung jury - retrial, off back to jail for another long stint
Hung jury - no retrial, arrested on further charges for Hummingbird, back on remand
Not guilty - arrested on further charges for Hummingbird, back on remand

I hope they are right.

This life sometimes, one of my daughter's has been taken to hospital, she's been ill since last Thursday and is getting worse, 111 were going to send an ambulance but it was quicker for my SIL to take her himself. I'm sat just waiting for news.

Ooh actually, I just searched the NMC register for her and realise there were proceedings and an interim suspension order placed on her registration, which seems to have done the job of keeping this open for her to be struck off.
I wish they’d done that in the case I was involved in.
