Jesus Christ! That is so bad.
This particular parent was well known for being a nightmare, actually both this poor kids parents were, but I think this was the true low.

I don’t know how the head kept a straight face, what could you even say other than “That’s how people speak here?”.

Reminds me of one of the mums at nursery. She complained to the nursery because she saw one of the staff calling her daughter ‘babes’ and because her baby picked up the word ‘hiya’ instead of hello. We live in Essex 😂 Wait until her kid comes home from school asking what a vajazzle is.

Room 101:
Facebook Marketplace scammers

I’m selling my little one’s pushchair and I’ve had 8 messages so far - ALL of them are cleverly disguised scams! Swear it never used to be this bad! The listing has only been up two hours🤣

They make small talk and ask what condition it is in and then offer to pay through PayPal or bank transfer before collecting it. When I say it’s cash only they stop replying. I checked the profiles and most of them are in America or another bloody country arghhh😤🤣

While it feels like the jury are taking a long time they probably aren't really. They only did a few hours on the first day probably spent introducing themselves.
They’ve had 9 months to introduce themselves. I’d be fairly certain they know each other better than some friends/acquaintances they’ve had for a few years. Remember, every single time there is a break to discuss a ‘legal point’ (usually takes minimum 45 mins….happens often) the jury are just sat with each other and the four walls. You get to know each other really well…..mostly out of boredom. Then there’s all the waiting around, breaks etc. Honestly….court is SLOW you spend a lot of time hanging around chatting to each other.

I knew my fellow jurors really well after only a matter of weeks because we got bored talking about the trial during al, the numerous delays (we did talk about it a LOT but all felt the same so it felt dull to keep re-hashing things) so talked generally about our lives, exchanged stories, laughed and cried (my Father died while I was a juror….it was hard).Three of us kept in touch; we still meet twice a year even now.

The longer they take, the less hope there is off guilty verdicts. In my experience no juror wants to hang around any longer than necessary so if you can arrive at a consensus you crack on. Delays mean division and doesn’t bode well imo.

I'm having the time of my life, my Sciatica has flared up so I'm tucked in bed and thanks to Alexa I'm winding my husband up. He's 2 floors down in the kitchen and I've been ordering asking him to bring me all sorts and 'accidentally' forgetting something important as soon as he gets back.

Then just now I sent an announcement, started talking normally and then stuttered my words as if its breaking up 😂😂😂 He's going ape tit hahaha.

Anyway we're having a bed buffet and watching Hijack. I didn't know Max Beesley was in it.....even my shrivelled up love palace has awoken a little at Idris and Max in my bedroom 😂

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend 😘
Awww … sorry you are feeling tit - I get it too and it’s bloody awful 💕
I have hardly commented recently as my dear old mum is really unwell ( she’s 5 stone now and refusing to eat ) so it been really stressful. Trying to keep up as much as I can with Letby with the energy I have and I’m sure she’s going down next week.
You mentioned in a thread days ago that you were putting your “ tutty “ on and it brought a tear to my eye as I have never heard ANYONE say that apart from my mum. Feel better soon and to everyone else on the thread having a tough time of it I send big love x

I'm almost as north of England as you can get and I am twined at all of the time for saying "got he's coat" for example.. I know it is "got his coat" but it just comes out 😂
Are you from Leicester? My sister went to university there and it sounds a bit Leicester from memory. To me Leicester is kind of the very edge between the North and South. A few miles down the road in Northampton baath becomes barf! 😆

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, I was busy during the week and it was grand but I chilled out yesterday and it started. Could hardly walk last night. Dosed up on Tramadol, not my favourite but it does help. I've smothered it in Tiger Balm so I smell delightful 😂

Anyway my little love arrived home last night and is full of a cold so he's in bed too 😌
Where's your little lad been Della? Excuse me for being a nosy twit! 😍

Ahem, all this talk of northern England, I suspect I may the most northerly of them all. A lot of the Scottish border is actually south of me.

Awww I'm sorry to hear this lovey, I am sure it is really stressful for you, do you have plenty of support? Is your Mum in hospital or at home?

Don't feel as if you need to any of those questions but we're here to listen and support you if you need it xx If you don't want to share then I'll send you a big hug and some strength to get through your challenges.

Ahh tutty is such an underused word. My Nan always said it and I'd hear it a lot as a youngster....I'm keeping the tradition going 🙂

He's been camping in Penrith with his Auntie, Uncle and cousins. I would do mostly anything for him but not camping...I'm simply not the camping type 😂

He arrived home yesterday happy, full of a cold and mooing like a cow (a cow that's in a lot of pain haha)!

Thank you sweetheart … my mum always said it !
She’s at home still, she’s 85 and my sister moved in with her at Christmas to keep an eye on her. She’s gone from being the life and soul to not leaving the house since November 2019. During covid we did all her shopping and meals but I live an hour away and my sister is not massively sympathetic tbh. She refuses to take the medication the doctors gave her ( antidepressant ) drink her fortified drinks or increase her food intake. She refuses or leaves the meals that are made for her. She hardly speak to anyone now except me and hardly acknowledges my sister. I have begged her to come and live with me for a few months just to have a change of scene but she won’t leave the house. She has capacity so our hands are tied. The doctor said this week we can’t do anything more as she has said she’s had enough.
Its tough x

Awww that's made me cry. For you and your Mum, it must be torture for you but it sounds like there's not much you can do other than love her and be there for her. Her refusal to eat and take meds must be common I think, one of my best pals is going through similar with her mum and I had the same with my Nan. It's like they're saying I may be old and frail but I'm still in control of me and my decisions! You can't make me eat or drink!

I guess at such a wonderful age the will to carry on lessens. Doesn't make it easy for those of us that are forced to observe.

Covid took its toll on so many of our older people, at the time I wondered how my Nan would've coped had she been alive. She'd have probably pickled herself in sherry and smoked like a chimney 🙄

Anyway I hope there's a positive turn for you and your Mam, I hope she takes you up on your offer of staying with you for a while ❤

Thank you 🩷 🩷

These threads recently have shown we all have our own issues and problems to battle through not many are immune.
Anyway - Jury are STILL out and thinking about it I’m not massively concerned, they are still going to come back with that big Guilty … I’m thinking either Tuesday or Thursday
Death row meal - Chinese, Jam roly poly and custard washed down with a gallon of vodka and coke.
Room 101 - Schofield / Kerry Katona / hangovers.

Max Beesley fun fact!

Not sure how well known this is if you are not a take that fan. But Max was a percussionist on one of their 90s tours and appeared on their Live At Wembley 1993 VHS!

Video:

Article:
He played in the Paul Weller band for years and - not public knowledge yet - features on a couple of tracks on the forthcoming PW album ❤

Max Beesley is utterly delicious.
If you haven’t seen him in “ bodies “ you really are missing out.

Sciatica.....
Try lying face down on a table with your bum and hips hanging off it and lift one leg as high as it will go. Then lift the other.
Probably best to wear your pants 😘

Having a hard night tonight with my thoughts. Nothing too dark but just made a choice a few years ago and needless to say I’m terrible for dwelling on the past. Need to remember I made it with all the information I had at that time.
