Room 101:
Birds. Sorry to all the people who have pet birds on here but they terrify me.
The smell of meals being microwaved. Oddly specific I know but I walk in to our canteen at the start of my shift which is partway through the evening shift and they’re all having their dinner and it stinks of reheated cottage pie or beans. It’s vile. Makes me gag every day.
Speed bumps. The really hard plastic ones that are harsh and hurt your back even if you go over them at 0.5mph.
I thought you were a nice person.

This is who my husband says I am. In lockdown I went a little bird crazy 🤣 I’ve got a blackbird I’m particularly fond of and at one point I was in the shower and looked up to see him looking through the velux 😬

Can I add people that say "Off of" as in got off of the table. You don't need the "of".
Have to say this is mostly said in London/SE and it's really silly

Ok I have to know is it all birds? Including ducks? Penguins? I know a lot of people who are afraid of the ones who tend to fly at you or flap around your head but they generally make exceptions for penguins and ducks.

Damn, I’m away at an F1 race in a foreign country with barely any signal, and still no verdict? You’d think the jury would jump on that opportunity!
Hope you're having a great time!

Spa is on my bucket list. I'll get there one day!

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here yet. But Pat Brown's recent video (patreon hangout video that she makes public) mentions LL. You will have to forward it on to the latter end of the video for the matalan Mary part. However, I love Pat Brown's analysis in all things crime and her profiling (I find) is excellent.
She's starting to worry that the jury is taking a long time.
Anyway, If anyone's interested in listening to Pat talk about, i just thought I'd mention it here.

Oh God everyone I work with says "we was". Just why??? It's just as easy to say "we were". bleeping dipshits.

Also 'I brought instead of 'I bought'
Yup. That too. No one excepts you to speak like a 1930's radio presenter but FFS!

Just read that Les Dennis is going to be in strictly this year 🤣😭
Bless him. That's a big gig for him.
---
As a non native speaker it boggles my mind. The other day I heard someone say "I should of went". like seriously.
Native English speakers can be the worst for wrecking their own language.
What is your native language? Do other native speakers balls up the language too or is it just us?

Sorry when I say off of like ‘queen tofino off of tattle’ or ‘matey off of Facebook” it is in an ironic Scott mills way 😬

My eldest got told off the other week for correcting the TA when she said “we was”. That was a mistake for them as you can imagine 🤗

I've noticed my eldest says "we was" when she's talking to her mates. 🥴 She knows how to speak properly. I was shocked that a kid in her reception class from Up North (can't remember exactly where, Northern England) was corrected by a teacher for saying Bath unstead of barth like we locals do. I have no problem with accents, they're great.
Poor little kid was 5 and getting told to pronounce a word in a totally alien way for him.
