Weirdly, whilst freaking out over here, iris by the goo goo dolls has just come on and reminded me it’s one of my favourite ever songs (late addition but maybe a good sign that it came whilst I was self destructing over a tweet from Dan)
Scott Mills is good at calming nerves!!

Is it reported anywhere what the judge read out exactly?
Statements from count 10 and 11 for baby H. Hopefully Chester will give more detail but someone might be able to work it out before then.

Eta and by someone I mean queen @Tofino of tattle

They don't know. When you're on a jury you get instructed not to look up anything about the case, but it's all down to trust
Hmm to be fair I’d find that too hard to do. Most people would be curious as to what’s been said online etc. hopefully verdict soon

Can I ask a stupid question, how do they know the jury are not googling about the case at night or weekends or their family could be and relaying info to them?
I don’t think they’ve any way of knowing for sure. I have a friend who works for the CPS and I asked her this, she said most of the time when a juror has been found to be doing their own research it’s because they’ve accidentally outed themselves by saying something that wasn’t part of the trial and then another juror has reported them

So the judge has read out the statements, and rather than being able to discuss them while they are fresh in their minds, they have been sent home.

Make it make sense.

BBC news alerts can duck off 🙄
I’m hoping they’ve discussed all the murder charges and are now on the attempted murder charges.
We’re all feeling anxious here with no connection to the case. I can’t imagine what the poor families are going through. I really, really feel for them. Their anxiety levels must be sky high.

Hmm from what was reported at the time, there were no agreed statements that were doctors 🤔 all the doctors we know of gave evidence on the stand and were cross examined.

That’s strange. I wonder if it’s Dan’s mistake or something we’ve not been privy to. Were any referred to by BNE or JG in closing/summing up?

Ok this says doctors who were involved in the transport and care of Child H to Arrowe Park.

Maybe they weren’t reported on if it was something short and straightforward.

However Dr Neame wrote a discharge letter. Maybe bit in bold is important (for what the jury want to see)

In his discharge letter to Arrowe Park, Dr Neame wrote: “Thank you for accepting this baby who has had two significant episodes of bradycardia (low heart rate) requiring resuscitation, adrenaline and CPR in the last 24 hours with no clear precipitating factors.

Her care has been complicated by the development of respiratory distress syndrome and pneumothoraces (collapsed lung) but the acute episodes with desaturation and bradycardia do not seem to be directly related to the respiratory problems.

When typing my last post “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” by the Beatles came on my shuffled music 👀
I would prefer Lucy in the slammer with diarrhoea (for life)

Jesus, read out the requested statements to the jury and send them straight home without being able to discuss whilst it's fresh in mind. He should have just dismissed the court for the day and said he'd read out first thing tomorrow so they could recall it all properly.

I think it sounds like they’re definitely on the right track anyway. I don’t envy them.
