I was wondering about bereavement but even if they have young children in nursery who are sick the nursery sends them home. I don’t know, I guess you’d have provisions for that with this ongoing. Just pray it’s not something more sinister.

I’ve got young children and I’d have refused to do a trial this length, I’ve got an incredibly supportive family and great nursery for childcare but even I wouldn’t have managed so surely no one on that jury has got little ones! Unless they’re dads of course

It’s one of the questions you get asked if there is a long case that starts on the first day of turning up for jury duty. We were told there was a case being heard that would be around 12 weeks and were asked to complete a form to say whether or not you would be available for this long. All it said on Twitter today was jury not sitting and not that it was due to an absence. Someone on Twitter questioned if she changed her plea

Dan said on Twitter Monday that 2 jurors were absent and they didn't know when deliberations would resume, so I doubt she's changing her plea at this stage. The only thing that works for me these days is sleep....Lucozade sport, a McDonalds and painkillers until you get home and go to bed!

You want lots and lots of fluids. But also electrolytes so you don’t just pee it out again! If you can sneak out for lunch you can get some dioralyte or lucozade or similar, if not put a pinch of salt or bicarb in water or juice. Try to eat something even if just small too if you can, just carbs is fine. X
Yes I can go thur /Fri yhough there’s no trains on Thursday - strikes again. It really is frustrating for all
If it's that someone's vomiting, there really isn't anything they can do but wait. Imagine if they passed D&V round the jurors, we could be here for weeks!
That said, my spidey senses do not feel good about this jury. I think there's been a lot of dicking around. I wonder if any of them are very young (not saying young people are all wicks just that SOME younger people maybe don't grasp the repercussions of their actions).
I also think there must be lessons to be learned here. No trial should take this long. If it's going to, there should be long days, jurors who are confident they can commit and maybe ways of condensing the evidence. And a hotel for deliberating in and nobody goes home till it's bleeping done.

dioralyte is better, have 2 sachets this morning and then drink more alongside your other drinks for the rest of the day. But lucozade sport isn’t bad, similar theory - you just need to drink more of them than dioralyte.
Then some carbs as your blood sugar drops with a hangover, followed by ibuprofen if the carbs stay down, and lastly some sleep with a glass of dioralyte beside the bed.
Agreed, I think 10-16 days are a bit of a joke.
100% agree! Why were they sitting in court for max four hours a day? It’s mind boggling
