Hello Lovelies, I’ve missed tons, having surgery tomorrow so when recuperating, I’ll have the present thread open and all I’ve missed. I can’t believe we are at the end point, I couldn’t even follow the defence closing as from the little I saw, I just thought hogwash with no substance, I don’t have the capacity for this nonsense at the moment, did it get any better? Love to you all. 💕💕💕💕

Of course not he plays dodgeball

I noticed BM didn’t mention the gang of 4 on his summary another thing he dodged, he must know that’s not true… I really hope there’s a proper rebuttal tmoro and that chester standard will be there!
I'm hoping that the jury notice what's been noticed here about BM not rebutting certain things. I'm going to try and follow tomorrow but I'm at work and Monday's are always meeting heavy. Why have one meeting when you can have 4 lol.

@LilyRose1234 I'm sorry for tagging you again but I need some FREE legal advice.

My husband was going to the shop so I asked him to get me some chocolate. He came back with Peanut M&Ms.

If I hurt him physically would I get away with it? Does it fall under some rule because its essentially his fault?

TIA

Hi I'm new today (but don't tell LL or she'll try to kill me)

Been following this case the whole way and have no doubt of guilt with many more cases to follow after her conviction IMO.

BM summing up / closing arguments week was a sick joke, I don't understand how his comments were admissible in court but maybe the judge will give guidance to the jury on that this week.

I really feel for the jurors and my expectation is that they've been digesting the prosecution arguments and expert witnesses at the time they were presented and will actually return their result way more quickly than other people predict. If they weren't doing that and they want to argue and digest case by case all over again then frankly it could take at least another month...

I think this case will put the general public and most especially NHS workers into shock and low morale.

Anyone else look at every poll result and then take the percentage of guilty votes and work that out as a percentage of 12 to see if we'd still get enough of a majority guilty verdict if it reflects the jury's feelings too? 😳 (No? Just me?) FWIW the answer is still 'yes' if we include the 'some but not all' guilty votes (10.4 people out of 12) and almost yes (9.9 people) on the guilty of all category. I'm sure it means nothing, it's just my anxious control-freak way of trying to know the as-yet unknowable of what the jury are thinking. I've tried it on the Facebook group polls as well but it was far less reassuring... o_O

Yes I always do. Although I think some vote more than once.

I've also established who one of our guilty voters is because I'm a right miss Marple 😁

I don't view the opinions of people who voted in the poll here as being representative of the jury at all.

Mainly as when I read the reasons and arguments being made by the 'innocent' or 'scapegoat' supporters both here and on other forums, I know they're not valid. I've followed the case through court nearly every day for the last many months and debated in depth on another forum so I know the prosecution arguments and evidence for every case. I know the defence didn't have one single expert witness to refute any of the prosecution allegations.

The defence only called on one person - a plumber whose testimony was a sideways issue completely unrelated to the illness or deaths of any babies (because none of the babies died of any type of ailment caused by poor sanitation and there has never been any suggestion of that).

Initially, I firmly believed LL had been scapegoated and targeted due to a failing, dysfunctional hospital, maybe under staffed with high staff turnover and a lot of temporary staff and agency staff. I believed that she may have been present more often because she worked far longer hours etc. Every single one of the points of view that I firmly held have been completely shot down in flames over the last 7 months and there is clear and cohesive evidence as to when and how LL harmed the babies.

I believe the jury will quickly convict. Just my personal opinions, I am not a lawyer.

Fingers crossed Tay, the end is nigh.

Are you planning on going again?
Yes. I hope I come away feeling better than last week and the Judge rebalances things. I've felt quite frustrated reading the daily reports last week.
