I keep going for unsure as guilty without everything feels so damning, I am leaning towards guilty though. Which in some ways is a relief, as the thought of someone innocent going through that is unthinkable. But in another way is more horrific than you can verbalise. i think a few of us feel the same, it’s this weird sort of unsettled feeling.
---
Thanks, @nosycowmoo

Is it possible she was referring to a feeling of isolation rather than literal isolation? I’ve had times where I seem to be active socially but anything but really.
I do get what you mean by this. And sometimes, memories can be inconsistent. Doesn't mean we're blatantly lying. For her, as well as everyone else, there's been an awful lot of information to process, as well as memories. I have felt a little off about voting 'guilty' before hearing everything but done so because of the patterning that seems to have emerged in her behaviour, on many counts. These echo with the behaviours of other convicted murderers from the medical profession.

The patterning, for me, is overwhelming:
-Trophy collecting (the infamous handover sheets, etc.)
-Need for attention and validation, clear through her multiple messages
-Blank denial of ANY culpability, even in relatively benign circumstances
-Evidence of personality disorder (not that this in itself, makes anyone a criminal)
-Someone who may be playing the role of someone very socially engaged but still feeling 'separated' because of her personality issues
-The facts about her being present or evidence of her input with ALL the babies, whereas nobody else meets that profile
-Two of the babies, everyone (including herself) accepts, were poisoned by insulin. There has been nobody else shown to potentially accountable.
-The extreme, awful, circumstances in which all of these babies suffered suggest something far more sinister than ward incompetence/ staffing levels
-Statistically, these infant 'attacks'/ unlikely deaths are off the scale
-Was this happening on this ward before her presence at COCH? What happened after she was removed, in terms of incidents?
-I also think there will be more to come out, which has not yet been disclosed for the purposes of giving Letby a 'fair' trial, regarding counts upon which she's been charged

I could go on....

It's horrific, to even contemplate the lengths to someone who, on the surface, seemed such a regular, ordinary person could go to these sadistic lengths but as we know from previous cases, it's often the way. These killers often do a pretty good job of covering their tracks but the need to act often overpowers self-control and that's when the recklessness kicks in. Lucy Letby was getting reckless and that's when she was stopped. Too late for grieving families and those poor babies but goodness knows how many more there would have been had she been allowed to persist.

Just listened to the podcast. Those triplets get me every time. The struggle mum must've had to grow 3 babies to weigh over 4lb each, the fear she must've felt for the birth and she smashed it...only to have that monster do her worse.

It is the most heartbreaking thing. I hope they can find some peace.
Yep over 4 lbs each, and that was what 31 weeks or 33 weeks I forget. From one placenta so such a rare pregnancy type! That mother carried three babies that thrived absolutely fine against odds (triplet pregnancy one placenta) to all be born and in good condition. I believe on a previous thread babies of that gestation had over a 99% chance of survival. Clearly anyway as their brother did. There’d be three not one today if Lucy Letby hadn’t gone her murderous hands on them.

Don't talk down to me.

There's if you've met one autistic person, you've met one autistic person, whatever. And then there's expanding it so much that it can apply to anyone.

Lucy lived independently, had a successful career in a job requiring constant social interaction, had a full and rich social life, had sufficient social skills to be a literal serial killer right under everyone's noses, and is visibly remarkably self-assured and unfazed by everything. She would be the most atypical autistic person ever.

She's not autistic anyway because there is zero chance Bowel Movement wouldn't have used that as a sympathy ploy.

For everyone saying it doesn't matter: it does. People with autism who are exceptionally high functioning (the Chris Packhams of the world) already get disproportionate attention and centering, to the point where autistic people with significant problems are now facing a complete lack of understanding from the general public. If Lucy were to be autistic, she would be one of these extreme high functioners. The last thing we need is adding people like her to the label, just for being unnaturally composed on the stand. We are facing enough misunderstanding as it is without lumping us in with clearly non-autistic serial baby killers.
I’m not talking down to you in the slightest. You’ve taken something I and others have mentioned and taken it as a slight against you and the ND community, which it wasn’t intended as. Of course I understand that it is perfectly possible that LL has traits of ND without actually being ND, but I also can fully comprehend that she could be all of the things you mention (independent, holding down a job, having a seemingly active social life), and yet still be undiagnosed ND. We shall agree to disagree and please know that no ill intention was meant.

Imagine if LL hadn't took the stand and all BM brought was a plumber. She would have looked stupid and surely had grounds for a mistral. Thank god she took the stand as I feel her own words will be the thing that convicts her in this trial

Guess who's back with a bang LOL.

Haven't caught up on any thread yet but just read Friday's live reporting and ran here to say I fucking love that a 'blue Lee Cooper leisure suit' has been part of her undoing. Poetry. Not surprised she didn't want to admit to being carted off in that monstrosity!

Its all the texting and communications too, until the early hours in the morning.

He must be an habitual cheat to be so brazen as to travel to London, doesn’t seem the actions of someone who's new to the chearing game.

I hope his wife has got herself a lovely new man who adores her ❤
Wonder if he really did have a medical appointment that stopped their second little trip to London or if that coincided with him realising what she was really like? Or his wife checking his phone 😑

It seems like her only friends were work friends to me? It could be because they are the only ones mentioned because of the scenario but even when she went to Ibiza, it included work friends and other than that only seems to have gone out with work friends or away with her mum and dad or no name.
Right?! Who in their 20s has a best friend called Janet?!

What would be the best website to enable notifications for when a verdict comes in? If I hear it on the radio or something I'll never get over it after following it every day since October 😂
I just want to be with you lot when it breaks. Its going to be very tense. And very emotional.

@docmum has promised us some juicy medical stories for during deliberation. So, pans stuck up the rectum and such like. Bet our other medics will have some funny anecdotes to get us through.

I can play the spoons and I hear @IdeletedbutI'mbackagain can play Rule Brittania in fanny farts.

We will all get through it together 🙂

I wonder if BNE not questioning her on the on purpose part of the note is because he knows maybe the outcome wouldn't be favourable. I mean we all know she's a massive liar and seems to get caught out constantly but maybe he sees a risk in asking her. She could play on the whole PTSD thing, get people on the jury feeling sorry for her maybe? Or maybe he is aware that BM could make an objection that we wouldn't foresee?
Also could it be much more damning in his closing speech to bring it up where her and her defence don't have the ability to challenge him?
I was just thinking the same… if he asks her about the purpose part she can “explain” it away. How powerful in his closing to use her own words of doing it all on purpose as she is evil 💥

Crazy that they have not been able to find even one witness to cast doubt on even the smallest thing (soz Lorenzo, i'm sure you're a fab plumber but you don't count).

A case of this magnitude, with so many aspects that they could attempt to defend, they could try to put an alternative explanation by an expert forward and by doing so they may create some reasonable doubt. I thought that was the point?

If I was up on all these charges CLAIMING MY INNOCENCE then I'd want a line of experts around the courthouse backing me up.

If I was Lucifer I would want some kind of psychologist. Someone to attempt to explain the paper hoarding, what that psychologically means other than trophy taking, the notes-how I DID THIS ON PURPOSE doesn't mean exactly what it says.

She's thrown literally 20 professionals under the bus for incompetence. She's even suggested they were culpable of some deaths/injuries. Well if that's the case why aren't they following this up?

If a case of this size doesn't warrant the very best defence response then I don't know what does. But I'm just a Mum from Rammy, what do I know? (The jury are just people too and I think they'll be expecting something, anything)

It's like watching the worst game of tennis ever 😂 Poor BNE has no bugger to bat his ball back!

Honestly you can’t make this up. Lucy’s defense is a literal joke 🤣

Hmmm the jury will have a tough one deliberating whether there’s a serial killer turd on the loose and poor innocent Lucy has unnecessarily gone through all of this because of a shitty sink.
