It's very frustrating. I'm starting to think that Richard the Lucy obsessive is the juror!

I hope nobody has plans for Christmas because we'll still be bleeping here at this rate. It's beyond a joke now.
I bet the other jurors are so pissed off. I hope they don't have summer holidays booked.

Decided to pop to court, it’s been adjourned as soon as I got there so maybe I’m the problem!.Not on tomorrow either, and not sitting Monday Tuesday next week.

Judge gave the reason in court for the jurors absence and it’s serious, definitely a good reason to adjourn (not sure if I can say why). He said all the jurors are very committed for various reasons so not someone ducking out like we’d thought.

Honestly was an interesting trip despite the brevity of it, got to see BM in the corridor (he’s dishier than you’d expect I hate to say!) and was interesting to see. LL’s got a bit of a moon face now compared to her pictures, her hair is brown. Didn’t get the chance to hear her speak though.

God that’s so crap you’d just got there. Do you think you’ll go along another day?

Did you hear anyone chatting about what happened just before the break? Sounded very dramatic and critical to the case in the reporting can’t imagine being there!

Without saying what the reason for absence obviously.....would it be something that will keep cropping up?

Probably, just need to wait for a day I’m free but court is actually sitting! Thought I was safe since she’d sat this morning but apparently not.

Would recommend anyone to do it though, one thing I didn’t realise is that there’s people who are going watching super regularly so it was interesting to hear their perception.

The court is told the trial will not be hearing new evidence in the cross-examination this afternoon or tomorrow (Tuesday).

☹

It’s an emergency, the judge is awaiting further info on how long it’ll take to get the juror well. He wants to continue with 12 if he can.

Yes, I read the live reporting on the way in! One lady who’d been there that morning basically said it had been a hell of a day so far

One of the people who do it told me they think guilty on the way out. However they do think LL comes across better in person than she does in the reporting, they’re not quite as bad clangers as they come across.

I was wondering if it was something that might mean a juror needs to take 6-12 months off in the next couple of months.... 🐣

I was thinking the other day potentially one of them could have got pregnant in the first couple of weeks and be getting on for the 3rd trimester by now.

Cannot see it resuming for at least a couple of days.

I think it depends. There’s something acute which needs doing but then the judge needs to figure out how long it will need after basically.

BM was saying basically it’s very stressful for LL having so many delays, pointed out she’s been giving evidence since the beginning of May. So the defence definitely don’t want this dragging on.

She’s poisoned multiple bags. Evil.
So much worse than taking candy from a baby. So much worse than sabotaging your colleagues at work. This is a person who quite literally sabotaged little, vulnerable babies & their families. Stealing their very lives, and when she couldn’t manage to steal their lives, she took their ability to to develop normally in good health. When she couldn’t manage that, she tried stealing siblings. When she couldn’t manage that she took their ability to trust the goodness of others. She took all she could from whomever she could, including sabotaging her colleagues’ patients & trying to throw their reputations into question. She is a hideous, ghoulish, evil person.

An early finish but quite frankly a horrendous day in court for her. The insulin defence is laughable. She had actually said she wasn’t aware of baby F’s blood level problems in police interview?? She text continually for updates about it. This is a baby who’s sibling (baby E) was her designated baby when they died in a truly horrific way. She was searching the parents multiple times because she cared about them so much apparently and was checking up on baby f (even when he was still on the unit 🙄) and yet she couldn’t remember his prolonged and unusual hypo?
Asking if they’d kept the bag in police interview was just her arrogance coming through, it comes through on the stand. She thinks she’s clever. She knew full well they didn’t have the bag. She thinks it’s a duck you. But the joke is on her because she looks an absolute idiot on that stand acting as if two insulin poisonings, with her hanging the bag both times, are unrelated.
