If I was her on that stand and someone was asking me such awful questions (and I was innocent) I wouldn't just reply no or I don't agree, it's free speech (to a degree) bloody say something emotive or more than just a plain no! I'd be wailing, insisting along the lines of "no, I would never harm anyone let alone a premature baby! It's making me sick just thinking about it" idk maybe I'm dramatic

My heart breaks for the parents having to sit through her bullshit, when they should have those babies with them and be doing things like sports days rather than this awful trial. My brother was a 29wk premie. We're both late 30s now, and to think of the man he is today from such touch and go beginnings makes me so sad for what this evil bitch has stolen from these families. Even the babies that did survive, she's cast such a dark shadow over their lives. I hate her.

I’m glad they’ve called out her beef with MT and Hudson! Shows she wasn’t as well liked or popular as the media photos show her. And shows that even before the doctors called it, other colleagues knew she was off. Ties in nicely with her spending every day on the stand hinting they’re all incompetent, disrespectful, or conspirators.
How unhinged do you have to be to fall out with a colleague over where you were assigned on one day (the nurse she fell out with after A & B)?
Also pulling up her FB likes when she was supposed to be attending to her baby! And telling NJ she doesn’t know the person whose photo she liked…. I mean, that’s normal behaviour for her too is it, to like the photos of total strangers while at work?

Looking at poor baby I’s evidence. The original post-mortem said extreme prematurity. Their stomach was inflated like a balloon just like baby C but for both of them no NEC found and no bowel problems identified. Baby I was absolutely full of air in the X-ray - splinted their diaphragm. Dr Owen Arthurs was asked if he concluded baby had been injected with air and he said that without any natural causes that this “stands to reason”. This is a baby that had lived for weeks, had overcome all their obstacles and yet had life threatening incidents days and weeks apart whenever Letby was around and mum had left. How often do babies die of prematurity when they’ve already overcome those early weeks, are stable and they don’t have lots of ongoing issues?
Just like baby P’s death was just ‘prematurity’ but he had a 99% chance of survival due to his gestation and weight and had been doing so well.
I cannot wait until she is told she’s guilty.

Nobody would expect her to manipulate them. But spotting that it’s coming out when she checks her lines and tubes absolutely is a part of her role.

Yeah Ashleigh being ‘inexperienced’ is just her opinion. Absolutely no medical evidence to suggest she did anything wrong or was indeed inexperienced. For LL to make up that BS about not monitoring her enough as per policy (which NJ proved was her lying) is personal. She’s showing her personal vendetta and jealousy against Ashleigh in real life.
Letby is asked in what way Ashleigh Hudson was inexperienced.
LL: "I don't think Ashleigh had a lot of experience in recognising changes in babies, potentially."
Letby says the more experience you have, the more you can detect changes, such as changes in colour, in a baby.
Except it was all your babies collapsing Lucy Letby, not Ashleigh’s. And babies only collapsed after you attended to them!

It’s quite clear the two calls dad received are 1) at 9.11 mum being worried about blood round babies mouth and dad saying it’s fine don’t worry and 2) a second call that’s timed nearly at 11pm which was a mixture of his wife and the midwife saying “get here right away”
There’s also the very niggling issue that Letby says she called the senior health officer to report bleeding but he can’t remember any call and says he would have acted on it and put it in his notes. There’s also the fact that Dr Harkness was around at the time so she could have raised anything with him but didn’t.
It’s not a simple case of mum getting in a muddle. Whole conversations and interactions had to have never happened the way both parents remember it and how all the timings line up to show prosecution are right in what they think happened and why.
I’ve also thought that the way mum describes the blood pattern around baby E’s mouth is what baby would get if they had been bleeding and then had a breathing support mask put on. She did something horrible to that baby I’m sure of it.

I wonder what the parents think. Do all parents find her unanimously guilty? Did they have to be persuaded of her guilt by police evidence? Have their opinions changed for the better, or worse, throughout the course of this trial?
