Qualified in 2011 so 5yr experience by 2016 and if that was all on the same ward with additional training then yeah I'd say she was well experienced as a band 5. Obviously nowhere near as much as nurses with 10-15yr experience but much more than a newly qualified nurse. It's tough to judge because I've been qualified 9yr this year and in my last job I was the most experienced nurse in the team, but my current job I'm in a more senior role and have very little experience compared to those around me in terms of the role and length of service. After 5 years as a band 5 in one place you would definitely be pretty experienced within your role. I've never spent that long in one place.

Take a shot for everytime I said experience.
It would be interesting to see where her level of experience actually sat relative to other members of staff… if she was seen as a more senior member of staff then I guess it’s reasonable that she would be more active than other members of staff when it comes to babies not allocated to her and being involved in there care

Has she got anyone supporting her in court except her parents ? I think I read somewhere a nurse colleague has been going in support ?
