Slightly different from Sky..

She now says she had more experience "so knew what I was looking for".

"What do you mean by that," Mr Johnson asks.

There is silence as Letby refuses to answer the question.

Letby then says she is finding it "quite hard to concentrate on all of the dates".

Why do you have to concentrate on dates Lucy? Surely, whether you can see into the Nursery - that you worked at for years - is not date reliant?

Oh god now she’s saying Baby H’s dad is lying too in his evidence which was agreed facts about no SHO being present and no collapse. And again the SHO is lying too about not being present.

This is just like baby E! Where she denies the parents’ claims and places the SHO at the scene but SHO hasn’t made a note of it and doesn’t remember it. So another parent and SHO and “multiple doctors” are all lying??

WTAF am I listening to???

Omg the Osama turn this thread took last night 🤣
Poor Lucy Letby, imagine how much of a baddy you are when people would rather leave their kids with Osama Bin Laden than you.
She’s Confidential Bin Laden (sorry again).

I've just come over here from Facebook.

I can no longer cope with the incels on Facebook desperately attempting to wife Letby up by being her biggest fans.

It's creepy as hell.

She's guilty as hell, thought that from the start but thought I'd give the evidence a chance to tell the story, which it clearly has.

There are no words to adequately describe the pain the parents are going through, and have gone through, and also the siblings of the babies. They have suffered 8 years of pain after pain. They lost children and then had to deal with a knock at the door from the police telling them their babies were murdered, and now the trial.

I just hope the evil piece of shit gets a whole life order.

I wouldn't be able to remember things that happened 8 years ago but this is different. Because she had had to go through and remember every little detail from quite soon after it happened due to police interviews, she hasn't had to remember that far back in the past due to the amount of times she's been walked through these events from quite soon after they happened.
Welcome.

You did make sure you weren't being followed didn't you? 😱😱

I keep going to back to her reactions and this one is very telling to me.
If you were innocent and thought you got the words wrong you wouldn't sit in silence you'd be following it up.

The judge has stopped it there because she's looking under stress and I guess whatever she said next could be admissible or grounds for retrial if they played it that way.

I had a employee leave under gross misconduct grounds and his parting shot was to email in a complaint about me with alot of weirdly specific things I'd done. I had to sit and go through if for 2 hours with hr and my manager. And even though they were alright about it it was exhausting so i can imagine the judge has to be very careful about making sure she's not getting over tired or stressed and giving them grounds for appeal.
I think it’s really telling too that she says “I am getting confused with dates” again it’s another total lie and trying to paint what she’d just said as the ptsd. But they weren’t talking about dates at that time were they! At all! They were talking about how she knew so quickly that baby I was pale in a very dark room with only a tiny portion of baby’s skin on view and obscured by a canopy. And baby had been completely stable yet Letby says she was “looking for” something. Then lo and behold baby is so poorly that Ashley H thought she had already died.
She knows exactly how bad that slip up was. I really want to go next week 😬

ETA - you’re not getting confused with dates if you’re able to look at seven year old shift rota and correct that someone was on days and not nights 🤣🤣🤣 fucking weird big faced twat

So are we thinking those tears were the realisation that if she wasn't fucked before, she almost certainly is now or is she just hoping sympathy vote from jury and the old poor innocent nice Lucy routine again.

She's going to have yet another long weekend stewing on that and we still aren't even half way through the cases. I have to say BNE isn't missing a trick is he.

Her Freudian slip there with using 'for' and quickly correcting to 'at' was so telling. If she hadn't corrected herself, she could have ironically looked more innocent by saying she meant she was more experienced and as baby looked pale fro where she was standing, she might be more able to look for something which might indicate something was wrong compared to her inexperienced colleague. But by self-correcting, it shows to me that she realised her choice of word was a bad and incriminating one.

" A text is shown from Letby to a colleague at 9.51pm: "'I've been helping Shelley so least still involved but haven't got the responsibility..." "

Yet another thing tying in with 'I killed them on purpose because I'm not good enough to care for them'. Again that she only wants to care for the sickest babies and has to be involved even if she isn't assigned to them. Whether that's to purposely harm them then 'rescue' them to mine for praise and glory or harm them and blame colleagues for being inept at their jobs, a thought process of 'well this wouldn't have happened if I'd looked after them.'

In terms of motive, we seem to have:

Harm then rescue, reap the glory/praise
Harm to make colleagues look inept
Harm them while under her care for sympathy - 'poor you, you're having such a bad run'
Harm them for attention from Dr Noname - either praise that she's such a good nurse or more of the 'poor you's'

All fits factitious/Munchausen disorders.

ETA, the above is from the Chester Standard. Sky News gives extra detail:

"A doctor has previously said that during the night shift of 26 September, he saw Letby alone and caring for Child H. The infant would collapse a few hours later and require ambulance transport to another hospital.

Letby has previously claimed she had little to do with the infant during this night shift, as she was caring for other babies in a different room."

Definitely trying to frame colleagues. What a shithouse she is.

I've just been catching up on the podcast and the bit that stands out to me is the doctor that walked in on her stood next to the cot, with the baby collapsing and the alarm not going off. The fact that a reputable doctor states that definitely happened and she is saying that it didn't speaks volumes to me. He has no reason to fabricate evidence and she knows she was caught, so states he's lying. There's no way she'd forget this happening, so she's saying he's lying. A doctor taking the stand and risking his livlihood and reputation by lying is a ridiculous notion to me.

My LO unexpectedly spent a night on a children’s ward earlier this week and the whole time I was paranoid that someone would hurt her like LL. I made sure to get everyone’s names who came into her room and even made note of the times. I even woke every hour overnight when they came to do their checks.

Thankfully my little girl is fine and home now, and obviously the staff at the hospital were absolute angels and nothing like LL, but the fear was there that someone could be that evil. Who goes around hurting babies, let alone babies who are already sick? I can’t even fathom it.

Very interesting take on it all... I've sat and read the court reporting before and wouldn't be surprised if we got a grand dramatic confession, so wanting to drag this out then confess in her own way...

Sorry I missed the Les Dennis references... does he have a kind face?!

And now fucking Glitter! :ROFLMAO:

I don't know how he was first in this thread, but Poor Les needs better PR!
Errrr have you just confused Gary with Fred?

The dad would remember if he’d seen his baby collapse. LL can pretend that the SHO or Reg might not remember, but not the dad.

Letby is asked if she was involved in an event timed 9.15pm for Child H, who had a desaturation and bradycardia. Letby said she did not remember.
Dr Neame, in evidence, said "ETT removed by nursing staff" and that nurse was Letby, alone.
LL: "Well I don't have any recollection of that."
A text is shown from Letby to a colleague at 9.51pm: "'I've been helping Shelley so least still involved but haven't got the responsibility..."
Letby says she "does not agree" she would have removed an ET Tube by herself.
The neonatal schedule shown for 9-10pm shows no duties for Child H for which Letby has been named as the nurse for it.
RIGHT! I’ve searched everywhere to see if it was reported that Dr Neame gave evidence that ETT was removed by nursing staff and that Letby was alone. Not reported at all. There was no live reporting that day. Only a brief daily round up article.

This shows m we really don’t hear everything in court. I guess at the time the reporters don’t always know the significance.

Mr Johnson asks how Letby could spot something Ashleigh Hudson could not, as mentioned from her police interview.

LL: "I had more experience so I knew what I was looking for - at."

NJ: "What do you mean looking 'for'?"

LL: "I don't mean it like that - I'm finding it hard to concentrate."

GOTCHA BITCH!!
Course she knew what she was looking for. Evidence that the baby she had just harmed was suffering. Rot in hell you cunt

Letby said "very quickly", she had noticed and saw Child I was pale.
Letby is asked why she was at room 2. She replies there was "nothing sinister" about that, that she had been in a chat with a colleague.
NJ: "The lights were off, weren't they?"
LL: "I can't say."
Letby is asked to look at her police interview.
In it, she says she had taken over Child I's care as Ashleigh Hudson had been "quite junior". For the observation of Child I, she replied the lights were off at night, and then they put the lights on, adding she could see Child I and: "I noticed that she was pale in the cot."
Letby, asked why she had told the jury the lights were "never off", says the lights are "never off completely", they are turned up.
A second police interview has Letby: "We put the light on - the lights aren't on in the nursery at night."
Asked why she did not refer to a dimmer switch in her police interview, Letby says: "I don't know."
NJ: "Are to trying to massage the evidence by [now] saying the lights were on low?"
LL: "No."

3:21pm

NJ: "What effect does going from a bright corridor [looking into] a [dark/dimly lit] room have on your eyesight?"
LL: "I don't know.
NJ: "You really don't know?"
LL: "No."
NJ: "Everybody knows, don't they?"
Letby says: "You wouldn't be able to see as well."
Mr Johnson says Letby was able to see "straight away" as she had caused Child I's deterioration.
LL: "No."

Yes Big Nick!

Uno what I’ve reassured myself throughout reading all this that w the insulin and air hopefully it was quick and the babies felt no pain and just went to sleep but it’s not the case is it, couldn’t be that she just murdered them, she had to make sure they felt so much pain and discomfort at the end
What they went through, leaving the safety and warmth of their mums belly to just be met with that evil cunt ☹ hope wherever those babies are now they’re being looked after and loved
unfortunately I believe air embolus is incredibly painful ☹ it doesn’t sound as bad as physical trauma but I think it is.

My two favourite lines from cross examination from him have been "you had nothing better to do on Christmas day?" and "your making all this up as you go along aren't you" I'm forgetting more I'm sure.
Mine was on day 1 of cross. 'In a bin bag in your garage'

Baby H is quite difficult reading, they all are of course but I struggle to think she caused them direct pain, so when it's suggested she messed about with this little loves chest drains it really hurts my heart. Then I remember (read the wiki) that little baby H is a survivor with no long term effects from the attacks 🩷
