Not even half way through the cases yet with the worst ones (in terms of evidence) still to come so she must really be starting to sweat up there now.

That silence earlier would have spoke volumes to the jury I'm sure

Wow. He has made the case for baby G so solid. Some new bits in there. Her best friend was JJK right? So she’s the unnamed nurse.
How come she’s saying the other nurse that arrived to find Letby with a blue collapsing baby and the monitor off did NOT want to make a complaint but this nurse gave evidence to say she did??

This is only speculation (well...obviously!) but if guilty I think she became a bit twisted at the thought she may never have the things she wanted in life, a husband and children. Like she was being denied something.

This is awful to say but I was watching the film Misery this week, and the Kathy Bates character who was accused of infant fatalities but it wasn't proven made me think of LL 😳
So bizarre because she would have had all these things, she could have had such a lovely life and so could the babies. It’s horrible.

I am miles behind but I have to admit I’mfinding it odd she went to work when not working (if you see what I mean!) - suggests over invested which lends itself to other darker things.

Like I say MILES behind but congrats to the gorgeous new baby.

Prosecution suggesting the ‘not so positive comments’ are actually about her colleagues getting suspicious rather than the who goes in room 1 arguments.

To be fair with the not crying I wouldn’t extrapolate innocence or guilt from that. I would assume that’s anti depressants.

JJK wasn't a band 5 nurse, so I wouldn't say it was her.

She clearly tried to downplay Baby G’s vomit - remembered to say over their clothes but not that it had reached a chair and the cot of another baby??

I’m wondering if there has been an unnamed nurse that is the best friend thorough out. When she was taken off the unit she carried on talking to Dr NN and another nurse which I’d always assumed was JJK but actually thinking it might be someone else. JJK has been named elsewhere, not sure if it’s an all or nothing thing with anonymity?

Ah ok interesting. She tried to mess with JJKs babies (N) at times. Q she is fitting up Minna. Seems like she is jealous and spiteful towards everybody.

I found it very telling that apparently she only looked straight at the jury and not at NJ when he was questioning her.

Maybe she was wondering where the other more jolly looking fella had gone? 😉

Never even seen a pic of the guy and he gives me the ick.
She’ll have been told to do this by her barrister. Acoustics aren’t always brilliant in the court room but, more importantly, her answers and evidence are for the jury so should be directed to them. In the same way that in a civil trial (without a jury) witnesses should direct their answers towards the judge.

Yeah, I think that this one is a different nurse. There's a nurse on the staffing map for G who can't be named, JJK wasn't in.

I’m jumping in again, so has probably been answered, but if blood had passed through the gut would it not be changed to a darker (black) colour? Due to being digested.
If it had passed through would it not show the gut was patent?
Is she talking lying about fresh blood?
Is she trying to suggest liver failure?
Fresh blood from the lower bowel or rectum?
What is she getting at?
@docmum @F1Grid
yes - I mentioned at the time and as @F1Grid has replied too - my feeling re the nappy blood was that she had considered the doctors were thinking NEC was the only vaguely fitting cause of collapse - it sounds like everything was chaotic. By saying somewhere along the line, possibly to police/investigators that there had been blood in the nappy would to me have made a more convincing clinical picture of NEC (had the blood actually been present). Clearly there wasn’t actually any blood in the nappy. Blood from the upper airway depending on volume would show as a dark thicker stool (and more difficult to differentiate in newborn poo) or a small volume not affecting stool colour at all.
Today has been utterly horrendous. Love to the usual thread fam as ever.

What an absolute awful day for those parents. I don’t know how they manage to cope through this. My darling grandson was born the summer of 2015 and had an emergency op at 2 weeks old. He’s a strapping nearly 8 year old and the absolute joy of all our lives. I just could not even begin to conceive how those parents have kept their cool but they have because they want justice for their darling babies that should all be looking forward to turning 8 this year. Sorry that sounds so awful to say. She’s a wicked wicked person and she’s coming across as such a narcissistic heartless witch of a woman who is only out for herself. Like others have said had it been any of us up there and completely innocent we would be acting so grief stricken for the parents and those babies and we wouldn’t be tripping ourselves up with our earlier lies. Love to all xxx

Right. We're all friends here and I need to ask.

Do people actually use these bloody things in real life or are they a novelty?

I mean what do you do, lick it, stick it to the window and back on to it hoping the suction doesn't fail or you'll end up face first in the washing basket? 😳

Do they gyrate or pulsate, vibrate or move about or are they just there?

No judgement darlings but its not for me. No thank you. I'll stick to a cup of tea and a hob nob to get my thrills 😁😁
Wait! Did you seriously just ask how to use a suction dildo? Lolol! And is a hob nob a tea biscuit?

This may have been asked, but for anyone in court and seeing the X-examination in person, how is she coming across in terms of her personality?
