Ok
If the jury were to believe BM talking about reasonable doubt and not convict her then this would indicate snowflakes with no backbone and hopefully this won't be the case as the evidence seems so overwhelming and her lies are being proven to the court over and over.
IF you were innocent you just wouldn't lie, you wouldn't throw your colleagues so easily under the bus, you wouldn't add new information (crappy sink and blood in nappy) and you wouldn't be a complete a in the stand.

How has she not broke down in tears today? At the discussions about these precious babies 🩵

That could explain my sheer bewilderment when people talk about toast with their tea, post birth I was given a little roll with a tiny helping of jam. Maybe that's the rules here too, I'm in West of Scotland
I had a full on steak dinner after giving birth naturally in 1983. Have never heard of the toast bit.

I’m jumping in again, so has probably been answered, but if blood had passed through the gut would it not be changed to a darker (black) colour? Due to being digested.
If it had passed through would it not show the gut was patent?
Is she talking lying about fresh blood?
Is she trying to suggest liver failure?
Fresh blood from the lower bowel or rectum?
What is she getting at?

I'd be sobbing on the stand day in, day out, pleading my innocence, not acting a complete arrogant wick. But that's just me.

I've had 4, tea and toast after every one, lovely.

Though I also got tea and toast when I had my tubes tied and my gall bladder out 😂

Shes getting at NEC I think.

If the baby swallowed blood from his throat and pooed it out it'd be black, you're right.

She doesn’t recall the doctors telling her the cannulation for Baby G was finished. Doesn’t mean they didn’t though - her word means jack tit given how much she “can’t recall”.

Had tea and toast after my c-section but had been sick throughout the procedure so really did not appreciate it. Hoping I’m less sick this time 🤣

I've been away for a couple hours and just catching up again. When I didn't think she could get any worse...

That silence and refusal to answer BNE's question would have spoken volumes to the jury.

I'd be sobbing on the stand day in, day out, pleading my innocence, not acting a complete arrogant wick. But that's just me.
Same here!!!

Any innocent person would be very emotional but also their police interview, defence statement and testimony on the stand would be consistent! There may be slight variations of nitty gritty detail as memories fade but the key events would be the same.

She's doing a great job weaving that noose...

Child H now 😔

I would’ve been on the maternity ward of our hospital with my newborn at the time these attacks were taking place. Makes me ill thinking about it tbh.

Letby said chest drains had to be couriered from Arrowe Park Hospital, as it was "unacceptable" they didn't have sufficient supplies at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
She does realise she's on the stand for her own defence right? Not as a prosecution witness in a case against CoCH?

Bile is produced in the liver, stored in the gall bladder and released into the intestine as required to help break down large.
I don’t know if you’ve got to the stage where you’ve thrown up so much that you’ve absolutely nothing left in your stomach and are still retching and this horrible green corrosive, acrid stuff comes up. That’s bile.
It’s never happened to me of course 👀😬

So she can speak on how she knows colleagues weren't suspicious about her but can't speak on the parents noticing how the baby wasn't the same any more. K.

Her picking and choosing what and how to answer really isn’t going well for her. Like a previous poster said, she’s evasive on some questions that might incriminate her, avoids answering others and plays with the wording to avoid confirming or denying.

I think she’s trying to play games up there but isn’t quite smart enough.

Now it looks like doctors may not have put chest drains in correctly for baby H, according to Letby.

Probably a stupid question but can she and BM/his team not speak to each other at all while she's on the stand? If so, I hope they're down the pub...

That's it then for today, folks. Hope she's got a ladder to climb out of the massive hole she has dug herself today and get back to her cell.

Can’t keep up with her own lies
Today hasn’t gone well for her has it. Though I can imagine her hyping herself up in the van on her loooong journey back ‘you did really well there Luce, you really showed that Nasty Nick what for!, same again tomorrow Luce you got this hun’

I wonder what she thinks on reflection? Does she think she stood up there and did well? I know narcs are massively deluded but that’s how she’s coming across. I bet she thinks BM is so proud of how she’s doing!

If I were a fellow inmate, I’d spend all my time hyping her up … ‘yeah yeah the sewage Lucy, definitely tell them the sewage did it!!’ just to stitch the cow up!
