The amount of slides and info hurts my brain just to think of it so it makes the length of the trial and the patchy daily reporting much more understandable. Huge huge respect to the legal teams who have this much info to prepare for each day and after a day in court too.
I’m so invested in this along with with the regulars on the thread, and I feel it would be some closure on my interest in the trial once it’s over to have gone along for a day - problem is I would have to plan the journey enough to commit a day or two and knowing my luck you can guarantee there’d be a poorly juror or some freak weather event.

Those texts from Dr NN seem really cringe and over-dramatic for someone over the age of 20! Proper earnest, Dawson's creek / Twilight type melodrama. I don't know if I'm repulsed or just jealous I never attract these nice, adoring men!

I think QUOTE it first, copy the text and then report is so it can be taken down and edit the copied text is the only way to edit it if the time has passed to do so!
I presume the legal restrictions are on reporting in the media? I know it wouldn’t be wise to put anything identifiable on a public forum but I presume given public can attend and the names are not anonymised in court that technically it’s not that nobody in the public can know. I don’t think it would be contempt of court if someone attending public court went home and talked about it with friends and family for example.
I’m just musing the legalities of this, I find it fascinating.
Anyway I’m seriously keen to go now. Would be after the Easter break and I think I would find a way to make it happen if she takes the stand.

@rararala was there any audible gasps or vocalisations when some things were revealed. Like some of the texts etc?
If the unit hadn't already cracked down on personal phone use they must be planning on it.
I wonder if the Dr Noname being married was another reason for the messaging being on Facebook not text or WhatsApp?

@rararala , sorry I didn’t mean to panic you, I don’t think you posted anything against the restrictions, I just wanted to warn you to be careful! I am very jeolous you were able to go, however it was probably really draining too I couldn’t imagine hearing everything first hand, I know its upsetting with the limited reporting we get at moment.

This part of the article is damning to me in terms of his perception of her care on the shop floor at that time compared to what he now knows about her/stepped forward as a prosecution witness. There is enough evidence to change his opinion 180 from how it was and that will be evidence we probably haven’t heard a lot of yet

Can I just ask, if someone is a prosecution witness do they have to effectively volunteer to do that. I don't know much about trials but I just assumed if you were in the situation being discussed you HAD to give evidence. So with Dr NN and what he testified has he volunteered to give that info as part of the prosecution? And would he have known when being originally questioned about it what the questioning was specifically about (LL killing babies) or would he have given info and then told later that would be used in prosecution of her for those offences?

Wow @rararala thanks for the insight! I think for those of us reading Dan's 3 tweets a day it can feel like not much is covered and also that the prosecution's evidence is quite sparse, but it seems that so much of the evidence is there, on the screens, in black and white and shown to the jury. It gives me so much more hope that she will be found guilty. May she rot forever and ever and ever amen.

So he's possibly an older man if his kids were "too big now"....interesting, I dunno why I had him down as a young doctor.

thinking of which, I wonder how this came about. They would have got the messages from Lucy’s devices, not his. Would they have interviewed him about his relationship with her (whatever that may be) afterwards? Perhaps to ask if they ever met or anything she may have said in person?
Or is it possible he’s hearing about these messages for the first time

Honestly i know we may never know for sure but I’m becoming more and more convinced he was married or in a LT relationship. It would explain the crappy flirting. Because they can’t quite dare to take it further at that stage.
