I literally cannot wait to hear what will come out about her after the trial.

Do you think it’s possible she targeted multiples mostly due to being an only child herself? Maybe she had some sort of psychological issue around it? I’m not sure how to word it but it’s merely speculation ofc. God knows what was going through that twisted mind.

Will be interesting to see what the psychoanalyst’s say about her in future docs.

I think multiples are just more likely to be born early and therefore more likely to need NICU input. I think the number of multiples in this case compared to singletons is probably in line with the normal NICU patient group if that makes sense?

I’m still a bit ‘chicken and egg’ about whether she targets ivf babies or twins/triplets.. if you are an ivf parent then you are much more likely to have a twin pregnancy, and then these pregnancies are also more likely to have more complications leading to baby requiring a nicu stay - especially to be the ones in her ‘chosen’ room 1 or 2. Heavier babies at a longer gestational age may just require room 3 or 4 if they did require neonatal intervention for any reason. Not sure if that makes sense as an explanation but it does to me 🤪
My friend is going through IVF at the moment, they’ve had one failed attempt. It’s horrendous, such an emotional rollercoaster, trying to balance hope with reality, as she put it.
I think it was stated that IVF couples had close ties with the unit. I think she probably targeted them, just to tighten the screws that little bit more. Who knows, this might be their only chance of having a baby.

Yeah that does make more sense actually, thanks! I guess we’ll never know what really made her do it (if she’s convicted ofc). I doubt she’ll ever talk about it or confess to anything.

Absolutely agree multiples are just more likely to be them but the way she has gone after them..
-she did the same things in terms of the insulin babies in that she tried to poison one in each set and kill by air in each set
- if she had succeeded killing B it would have been just like O&P - one day after each other.
I don’t think the reasoning behind it is targeted as such but I think it’s just an extra act of depravity. Handing over two dead babies to O&Ps mum and dad.. I think the tears and sobbing could even be because she’d finally managed it. A release of sorts.

The podcast where Dr Noname’s messages are read out. I get the impression (speculation) that he’s either posh and well to do, or much older and married and all trace of being married has been withheld to protect a wife from ever finding out. I don’t know. I’m probably wrong, just get the vibes.
He did make reference on a text to someone picking up on his upset when he got home so that’s a possibility.

Am I losing it ( probably ! ) but didn’t someone on here post something from a statistical company who has worked on this case, presumably for the defence ? I have seen it somewhere I know that.
Because she’s band 6 and always in nursery 1 is that where this is going today ?
Of course she’s always there when they crash - there blah blah blah ?
You are not losing it! I know exactly who you mean as I saw him post about it on Twitter again recently. His name is Richard Gill. He said last year that he gave the healthcare statistics research to both prosecution and defence but I don’t think he’s said (or be allowed to say?) if defence will use it. He had also been posting on Websleuths although I’ve not looked there for months.

He’s not even happy with the insulin poisoning ones without knowing false positive rates.

I was just thinking this, it's like she relishes the chaos and devastation she has caused so much, she fears it fading. She's an addict. She sees the opportunity to extend and compound the grief and suffering by targeting their sibling. It heightens the thrill, she can't help herself.

I totally agree with you about the release after waiting, they are not sad tears she's crying.

He sounds like a complete fool. A bit like the ‘expert diver’ in the Nicola Bulley case.
Maybe my analysis doesn’t hold up statistically, but he’s a know all fool.

Ben's questioning is weird is it not? What the hell was he trying to get at?
His point is that she wasn’t ‘always there’ because she caused issues but because she was usually the first to respond to emergencies. Good old Lucy.

Sorry, I don’t think so. The insulin poisonings? Air embolus?
These days NG feeds are pretty standard and in no way clinically advanced. Realistically incompetence couldn’t explain repeated gross ‘errors’ with these type of feeds.
Her defence is based on her being a competent nurse, so I don’t see how they could mitigate using incompetence.
Catching up, but I watched my son have his NG feeds and they didn't even involve pushing the fluid through a syringe if that makes. I can't explain how it was done, as I didn't understand it very well, but it was almost like suction/gravity that caused the milk to flow the rube rather than pushing a syringe.

The Mom and Dad whose baby was in both the same rooms as ours (high dependency when in the incubators/nursery once stable enough) actually did the NG feeds themselves too. I wasn't brave enough.

However, this was 2022, so I don't know if it would have been different in 2015/2016 and whether it being different hospitals too.

Richard Gill believe miscarriages of justice for serial killer healthcare workers are alarmingly common. He helped Lucia De Berk (Dutch paediatric nurse) get her serial murder convictions overturned. He’s been involved with research and written articles etc.

He’s probably a good statistician in this complex area but the problem I have with him is that he’s as biased as he’s accusing prosecution and medical experts of being. He clearly thinks Lucy is a victim of confirmation bias and bad statistics but this was before trial even started and he has no more knowledge of the evidence than we have.

@Pulltheotherone that’s a great find! I expect BM will go down this route as part of the defence.

I don’t think even the most accurate statistics can explain a lot of what has happened though.

Hope your son is well.
You’re right, it’s just gravity. It’s the preferred way.
LL would have to have pushed the air in though, by putting the plunger on the end of the syringe, and pushing.

Write up from independent. Yikes.

she has killed babies for her own interest. For her entertainment. To feel validated. She deserves to rot.
I wonder what her parents now think . Are they still attending court . Surely they now think this isn’t innocent. I could never stand by my kid if they did this I don’t know how they could
