I think her comment to Dr N.N " I want to be in Ibiza" is a bit odd in the context of what had just happened. I mean in my office job I'd come back off holiday and think "F-this, I want to be back on hols" if there was any bull going down. But you'd think St Lucy who is so dedicated and hardworking and devoted to these babies, does endless overtime and such a good nurse /martyr would want to be there supporting parents and colleagues or just being around people who share the trauma. I might be reading too much into it but it almost feels like the mask slips a bit there. I mean she is clearly loving it and she has to pretend she isn't so comes up with "I want to be Ibiza" as something a "normal person" would say, but it seems really inappropriate in this context.
I agree it might have sounded normal if she was always skiving off work out partying but we know she’s not like that it just sounds so ridiculous in the context of what’s happened . It’s almost like she’s trying to sound cool ?

A thought occurred to me that the faint could have been legit. If she’s carried out what is alleged, and turned up to the A&E, and staff there begin by saying things like ‘we know what happened, we’re not letting you leave here alone etc etc’ she’s maybe got the willies up her thinking that’s game over for her.

Do we know if court is sitting today? No reporting from anyone that I can find. @MmmB777 and @Haveyouanywool i fully agree with the fainting being faked, I said last night I do not believe the fainting was real, and I believe the wick to finger on the very last resus attempt was deliberate. It sounds to me in her texts to Noname, like she’s thriving on the attention in a&e where everyone talking about what happened that day and also her being rushed through quickly due to that, as if she’s the star of the show 🤢

I thought this too. Probably an anxiety type thing rather than her fainting over a blood test.

Also her Mum lecturing her about the needle wick (if it actually happened) is a bit OTT. I mean a simple "be careful" would surely suffice but I wonder if her Mum has some kind of weird attachment issue.

Just googled the long-term effects of overprotective parents (bear with me, my ADHD meds have kicked in so I'm in full swing down an internet rabbit hole! 😂 )

"Overprotective parenting refers to parents who hover or control their child's actions. Overprotective parents want to ensure their child's well-being, but their efforts can be intrusive and even detrimental. These parenting styles can cause family dynamic issues and stunt the child's overall development"

There are endless studies that suggest overprotective parenting can cause psychological issues in adult life  I wonder if she's so used to endless attention and care that she needs to manifest it in adult life by doing this crazy tit.

I think she did faint as well. I could be wrong but I have a feeling with this baby her intention was to hurt/maim rather then kill. The baby has then died and its literally floored her.

It’s the only theory I’d believe on the fainting being real.
@OldBlondie nope nothing as far as I can see but yep looks like they’re sitting.

If she was so taken a back by killing the baby, she probably shouldn’t have tampered with his brother around 10 minutes after baby O’s death. I don’t believe she was overcome by any emotion personally. The faint was at the blood test supposedly as an experienced nurse. Just trying to make Noname worry about her and fawn over her. Poor Lucy 🤢

The thing that makes me think the faint probably did happen is I’m sure a&e staff would be able to spot a real faint over a fake one 🤞🏼

She went on to harm baby Q too on the 3rd day in a row. If she suddenly became overwhelmed by how out of control she was with O & P and didn’t mean to harm them, I really don’t think she would go on to harm Q too.

This is true but it‘s only Letby’s word that she fainted that we know of. Either way it’s one of those little scraps isn’t it that could paint a picture. But not a chance it was a normal reaction to the baby dying. It’s all about her and her bleeping needle wick. Flabbergasting.

Yeah she’s on the daily listings but can’t see any reports coming out from there yet 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yep and exactly why I don’t believe it for one minute, it did as you say however, cause concern from Noname and get him to collect her and take her home. And yea I can’t be on board with the theory she didn’t mean to kill P due to the fact she actually had already murdered his brother (with 2 attempts) just the day before, and P was also more than one attempt, so personally don’t see how it could be a shock to her that P died and especially with her going after Q the very next day too. There were some babies were I wondered was she doing it for attention and then she could swoop in to be the hero, but that fact that she went after the same babies multiple times makes me think that nope she defs did intend to kill them😞.

Everyone in a&e talking about it and her being rushed through just comes across to me as her gloating, and seems to be happy she’s the centre of attention. We have seen many incidents of attention seeking behaviour and this whole fainting/pricking finger just feels like an extension of that again. Always has to be about her, not her colleagues or the families, just her 😡

Disappointing there is no live reporting today at all, Dan did say he’d be back today so wonder if he’s been sent elsewhere and it’s his female colleague instead that doesn’t do any live tweeting? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also still think it’s strange mark wasn’t there yesterday for start of P. Guess we will just have to wait for the round ups later on this evening 😩

ETA I’ve just remembered it was baby P that LL said to colleague “he isn’t leaving here alive is he” so I’m pretty sure she meant to kill him and not just harm him 😭

Does anyone know.. who’s paying for her defence? It must be shockingly expensive. Is she paying out of her pocket?

I think so...

Part of the messaging states that she had 'told her mum about the needle wick in case anything come of it'.
So, I think that she was anxious but without further context, it would be hard to infer what she was anxious about.
It could genuinely be the blood thing because thinking about factitious disorder etc (I'm not even convinced if that's what she has), maybe she does worry about her OWN health. A needle stick injury wasn't part of the plan.

-----
The messages yesterday painted more of a picture, almost perfect to pick apart and psycho-analyse (if that's the correct term). Towards the end, she was almost opening up about her parents and her life. Not like it makes a difference to the case but Dr Noname suggesting that her parents were finding it difficult to 'let go' because Lucy was their precious 'only' child. Lucy talks about the difficulties in that...she was feeling guilty (of moving away).

I can't get my head around it. She felt guilty about moving away from her parents but not killing these babies?!

I know loads of nurses who are ill getting their bloods taken but deal with blood and needles all day. Also coming from a high adrenaline situation like a resus attempt, sustaining an injury (doubt she faked it, needlestick injuries happen especially when you're rushing) then going to sit in A&E for ages, possibly after she hasn't had much to eat. I don't think there's anything in the faint, I doubt she'd want to faint infront of A&E nurses either.

No, we're paying for it through legal aid. She would be entitled to a KC due to enormity of the case.

I don't believe she knows what anxiety is. I don't believe she knows what guilt, love, fear, hope, happiness is either.

I think she masks.

Just speculation of course, I've never met the monster so I'm going off what's been reported.

Her reactions are misplaced, either really over the top or just inappropriate. She says and does what she thinks she should in relation to the circumstance.

I think the fainting episode would have benefit her in some way at that point and she's probably used it before in her life to manipulate situations to her advantage. I don't think it would be too difficult to feign a faint!

And let’s be honest it’s worth every penny!! She can’t try to appeal the outcome if she’s had the best defence available
