Has Lucy ever actually been fired from her job?

Or is she suspended still and do they have to wait till the court case is done before being able to? If you’re suspended from NHS do you get paid?

It’s neither here nor there but it would irk me if someone was drawing a full wage for this long….

She’s suspended from the nurse register so surely she can’t be getting paid still. I assume they suspended her when the formal charges were made against her?

Why does Dr Evan’s email put doubt into any prosecution evidence heard so far unless you ignore everything you’ve heard from countless people and decide Dr Evans has been wanting to implicate Letby specifically from the very start for some reason, money or what enjoying it

I didn't say it does.

I said, the defence haven't presented their case which they have stated is based on confirmation bias.

Any whiff of an email trace from ANY Dr or expert that either disagrees/sways an opinion, will be used as evidence and BM can say he's done his job.

I started listening to the Mail's podcast today.

Few things I didn't realise:

1. Lucy was living in doctor's accomodation up until she moved into the Haus of Beige
2. Lucy's texts about families being difficult were with Dr AV, not a nurse as the live reporting said,
3. Lucy and Dr AV talked about going setting up their own NNU 'with all the other faces that don't fit'

Comes across that Lucy was closer with the doctors than she was her fellow nurses except JJK. Dr AV is also likely the one who texted JJK about Lucy's 'bad nights' in Baby G's case, we haven't seen another 'Ali' yet, so the three of them were closeish.

So right away, they’ve put ‘Nick’ in inverted commas, indicating that there’s a previous relationship there.

Secondly, he’s already read about the high rates of baby deaths at Chester - and he knows the police are investigating. Do the police investigate clinical negligence? I’m not sure they do. Therefore, he would have had an inclination that this could become huge.

It just all sounds a bit touty and ‘pick me, pick me’ - which again - makes me question why. It doesn’t feel impartial.

It doesn't read at all suspicious to me. He was very experienced and had done expert witness work before, was now retired with time available and he could earn some money in a way that he would find interesting whatever his findings. I don't see anything sinister at all. I have worked for a hospital consultant who did expert witness work into a well publicised hospital scandal while she was still working almost full time so for Dr Dewi to do this sort of work when retired I find completely normal.

Agreed. BM defends some horrible cases looking at his CV.

Wonder if his satisfaction in doing so is that by knowing he's pushed the prosecution as much as possible, he knows it's going to be a safe conviction and these people aren't going to get out on appeal. LL's just not giving him much to work with.

FWIW, his last high profile serial child murderer case had his client found guilty.

Exactly this. Did Dr. E plant air by the spines of these babies? Did he fix it so Letby was there for umpteen strange and sudden collapses? So there is a poisoner and it’s not Letby despite her hanging both bags that started the hypos but everyone is just interested in stitching her up. Make it make sense I think Dr E reports have been reviewed by two or three others also, they mentioned at the start one person had sadly died since.
It’s an extremely elaborate money making scheme for Dr E and he’s defo having the time of his life up there with BM too. I bet he retires after this, poor bloke!

If she’s not asked for anonymity then I’m sure she’s referenced multiple times over the internet already so it’s a bit late. At the end of the day (wow I hate that phrase but I’m using it), these doctors (imo) have nothing to hide so I’m sure most don’t care about their names being out there on articles on this. Except the obvious Dr Noname who seems to be the poor sod who has been romantically involved with a sadistic killer.
