We would log in and out to document cares, observations etc, that was good practice. To document in someone else’s log in is definitely bad practice, it was stated at some point that this was common on the unit.
Any member of the multidisciplinary team would log in to document, with a facility for encryption for sensitive social work data.
LL documenting that baby K’s ET tube was secure, indicating that she had checked (I’d think she should have checked for air entry to lungs too), then 3 minutes she’s caught standing, doing ‘nothing’ at the side of the cot. Holy hell.
Can you remember where this was said? I can’t see it in the sequence of events where I thought it may be so it must have been reported somewhere else (hate all the scatty reporting!!)

I think the switching between ‘methods’ was the expected modus operandi for a killer operating in the same scene of crime over and over again. Had to chop and change to cause the constant background noise of confusion.
Good point. Using what was available to her I suppose. The insulin seems higher risk but as we’ve seen did not raise a flag at the time.

Just finished the podcast and couldn’t believe the bit about Letby writing in baby K’s computer notes despite not being designated nurse! Baby has an X-ray to show tube is in the right place, she writes about the tube being secure and then 3 mins later baby has significant desaturation and the tube is too far. Urgh she makes my skin crawl.
@Tofino. I was referencing @MmmB777 post, although I’ve not listened to the podcast yet. I hope I’ve got it right!

I watched all three episodes last night and highly recommend them to everyone - thank you so much for the netflix recommendation. The kids are ultimately the ones who have paved way for any justice here, the bravery of them and their families (especially Morgan) is unreal. I hope beautiful Mallory’s death may at least lead gp a positive outcome in the whole family being found out and stopped, but the power and wealth of the brothers/son is still a concern. I avoid conspiracy stuff in general as my brain would just spiral but the conspiracies behind this could be 🤯
I've not watched the Netflix documentary so far but I did watch a lot of the trial and verdict on You Tube which was interesting. The American legal/courtroom set up seems quite laid back compared to the British system.

Oh I missed @MmmB777 post! Wow this is quite significant yet all the papers ignored it?
Oops! 😬. I have now listened to the podcast and it was after an x-ray at 6.07am that 3 minutes later LL wrote in the electronic notes that Baby K’s ET tube was secure, 5 minutes after that baby K desaturated again and Dr J retracted the ET tube and baby K ‘settled’.
Sorry to say that I think Dan, although on a shoogely peg, is still secure in his position.
I shall now go and sit on the naughty step, for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

My mom has alot of British, Scottish, Irish & Welsh in her family - she is 91 and calls an ingrown nail a felon. Ever heard of that?
No, that's a new one for me. Interesting how there's so much variety in a small area!

Was back looking at Twitter and I recall this again from Friday - I wonder if the sudden influx of people on the ward had her panicking thinking they were police
Sorry haven't caught up on this thread yet, but it def sounds as though she was panicked. Not just in this example, but all the 'should I be worried?' questions.

So no Chester Standard live link today?

Good podcast roundup released today of previous baby. (I wish they’d stop the repetition though - nearly three mins saying the same every week. Scrap the intro ladies?! Just a bugbear!)

All these unusual events, not encountered in numerous (lost count) nurse and doctors’ many years of collective experience ….and on the other hand all linked to the existence of one nurse in the space of one year of her short career 🙄

I skip the intro. I can’t bear to hear Liz say that they won’t be discussing ANYTHINK the jury have not been told.

Sorry @Tofino this is another problem baby K has directly after Letby’s involvement. Remember on the day we heard about baby K that it got a bit confusing with what they were alleging.. well after the incident Dr J walks in on, the baby had an X-ray to check tube was located well. Letby is at the computer writing in baby K’s notes that baby k’s tube is secure and tied to their bonnet (I have no doubt the baby couldn’t keep getting the tube out itself) and within those three minutes since the X-ray and Letby there again, baby has another desat and the tube slips.
I get that it’s not wholly suspicious that she’s writing in other baby’s notes, it does however make it suspicious if said baby has a serious/unusual problem at the same time.

So just catching up on the podcast and baby K was a natural and planned pregnancy if I heard correctly, she was very premature and tiny when born at 25weeks. This for me reinforces the idea that LL preyed on each babies potential medical vulnerability as previous posters have speculated. Really trying to be clever.

Just watching Murder on CCTV (discovery) Series 8, episode 29. Angel of Death (Discovery Channel) about Nurse Will Davis?
I’ll not make any trigger happy comments yet, as I haven’t watched all of it 😬

Ooo thanks for this. There’ll be an outpouring of misogyny because Letby is a woman but seeing as nursing is a massively female dominated profession, most murdering nurses are male. Shock horror.

There have been lots of comments along the lines of ‘people can’t believe she’s done it because she’s a young, blond, pretty female’. Mmm…no, but then I think she’s a murdering witch so…
