Oh confirmation by the mail online it’s the same doctor that made her cry!!

In the messages, Letby's colleague suggested she was 'flirty' with a doctor working on the unit at the time. Letby repeatedly denied having a crush on the doctor or flirting with him.
Letby responded with 'cry laughing' emojis when it was suggested the paediatrician would like her to 'go commando'.
The medic being discussed by the pair first gave evidence at Letby's trial a fortnight ago, addressing the jury from behind a screen.
On that occasion the neonatal nurse became visibly distressed and appeared to make an attempt to leave the dock via a side door in the glass-panelled dock.

She composed herself and returned to her seat following a hushed conversation with a female security officer. She continued to wipe tears from her eyes as the doctor continued with his evidence.

Lucy Letby 'hugged mother after trying to kill her baby three times'

We bloodywell knew didn't we!

Tears for herself. Nobody else. Not the parents, the babies, her parents, her colleagues. Just herself.

And an absolute over reaction too, it must be years since their fling ended.

CRY FOR ALL THOSE LIVES YOU RUINED LETBY YOU SHITTING MONSTER!

I feel better getting that off my chest.

It’s weird because she doesn’t sound too devastated following the death of Baby O going by the messages she’s sending afterwards. Even to her mum ‘yep it’s just as well I love my job!’ It’s like the complete opposite to floods of tears!!
Yeah just about to say wtf she’s just going “get me back to Ibiza one minute to in floods of tears and grief the next. I’m totally confused by her explanation for baby O too. He gulped air. You were his nurse why did he die from gulping air. This was her excuse for another baby filled to the brim with air wasn’t it. How many babies with no other problems die by gulping air. How many times does it happen for one nurse for it to be her fucking fault. She pumped them full of air and she knows it. Babies like this would be dying in their droves if her explanation was true.

At this point, with all the suspicions starting to be raised, emotions amongst staff must have been running at an all time high, with everyone thinking ‘what next!’ So it’s no surprise the ward was frantic and chaos, NOBODY ( maybe other than Letby) would want anything like that to happen again, let alone two sibling babies in the space of 48 hours.

Also, how deluded do you have to be to think there’s a job being lined up for you! Mere weeks before you’re out on admin duties! Or is that pure arrogance?

I agree it sounds chaotic, I’ve no doubt it was and things could have been better but if we’re allowed to think that Letby is doing what she’s doing then that is somewhat understandable. She is literally wreaking havoc. These babies just should not have had these events whatsoever. I’m sure the student nurse did feel like it wasn’t enough for their care but the two babies that died were believed to be stronger than the one that survived and Letby was supposed to supervise. Unfortunately I’m quite certain if both babies had been left to the student nurse they would both be happy little children now. Letby co signs for things with the student when babies were doing well, when they go into rapid decline she’s with them alone.
Perfect (at the time) cover up for Lucy, having a student nurse with her. The opening statement said she was designated nurse these two babies. So if the parents are correct and she wasn’t around much then what was she doing?

Dr Gibbs getting snappy with Lucy makes me wonder if he made an association by that point as he had seen quite a few of these babies collapses.

Imagine working on the ward with her knowing that these babies were dying but also knowing you were completely innocent. Having to be questioned, under suspicion. People wondering were you involved.Like the stress of it all. The complete devastation it would cause too knowing that you were a good honest nurse who only had the babies best interests at heart, meanwhile a monster walked among you.
And not to be too political, but imagine having to do the best you can, with staff shortages, not always having the most trained staff available, maybe not all the resources you'd like etc...

I remember around that time (2017) taking my baby to the hospital after she choked in her vomit while asleep. I got sent to the children's ward for review and waited hours because the doctor who was on shift was helping to deliver a 27 week baby.

When my son was on the children's ward last year, they struggled to put cannulas in him, because he was 2-4 weeks old during his stay and was 5lb 8oz when he was born and below 47cms (only had his length measured at 5 weeks). Each cannula (they kept getting damaged every few days, so he had 4 before he couldn't have anymore) took multiple attempts and on the third or fourth cannula, the doctor knew how tricky it was to cannulate him and managed to find a infrared light to shine under his arm and hands to find a viable vein.

When he had to have a new cannula, they couldn't find that light again and it frustrated me, because it seems like such a simple thing that could have helped, but I imagine that things are stretched.

So to try your best to save these poor little things, with what staff, knowledge and resources you have, while someone is potentially sabotaging these babies and then this is picked apart when you appear in court.

What i find odd is how much she seems to enjoy talking about work outside of work. Constantly going on to other people about stuff that’s happened.
i work in a job that is people facing and some of those people have awful situations. My job could also be considered somewhat interesting in terms of some of the stuff that I come across. HoweverI never talk to people outside of work on the day to day about my clients or work as to me it’s so BORING. I’ve been there 40’hours. On my evenings and weekends I just want to forget about work and live my own life.

It's almost like she knew people were close to finding out so wanted to take out as many as she could, while she could. ☹
Or she just got cocky because she had got away with it for so long. She might have thought the student nurse / busy unit was a perfect cover so took more of a risk. Maybe she got more of a thrill from it as I think serial killers often escalate like we see from the methods at this late stage.

Baby K is definitely the charge that went from murder to attempted murder just before the trial started. If you Google there are references to it among other write ups but there’s no one clear article to link.

I’m not gonna lie, im pretty confused by K so far today. I’m not sure what they’re alleging she actually did to the baby. I get she was in the room, baby collapsed, later sadly died. Bigger picture says she was probably responsible. But what is she supposed to have done? Baby was clearly very premature, doesn’t actually seem stable, had a very difficult start. I’m confused. Maybe it’s this doctor giving evidence, he doesn’t seem to be laying blame anywhere.
This doc isn’t the one involved in the alleged crime so he is talking around that incident really.
I think essentially it’s alleged she dislodged the tubes that were helping baby K breathe. She was found by Dr Jayaram stood over the baby with baby’s equipment dislodged - nursing expert says there is no viable reason a nurse would look at a baby like that, whilst it desaturated and not adjust the equipment or alert people for help. Not only this but the monitor wasn’t alarming when it would have at these levels, therefore they are suggesting she has paused/silenced the alarm prior to removing the baby’s support in order to cause a serious desaturation that would certainly threaten a fragile baby’s life

What’s the guessing this unnamed doctor is the same unnamed doctor that she burst into tears in the dock when he spoke…

The conversation continues about discussion of other babies, and Letby messages her colleague: 'Had strange message from [doctor] earlier...'

Reply: 'Did u? Saying what?' 'Go commando?

Laughing emojis are replied by Letby.

Letby: 'Asking when I was working...'

R: 'Think he likes you too...'

LL: '...Just wants my opinion on something'

R: 'Hmm'

LL: 'Do you think he's being odd?

R: 'Thought as flirty as u'

LL: 'Shut up!'

R: 'What?!'

LL: 'I don't flirt with him!'

R: 'Ok'

LL: 'Certainly don't fancy him haha just nice guy'

R: 'Ok'

Oh and this was what was said about the earlier message. Is weird he messaged her on facebook

The first is a Facebook message from a Countess of Chester Hospital doctor at 11.56am on June 2, asking Lucy Letby for an 'opinion on something'.

Lucy Letby replies: "Hope I can help!"

Sorry to derail the knicker talk but just musing over the texts.
So these have all be agreed by both sides & the defence has added more too than what was originally included.
I do think the were in a relationship of some sort. Torn whether I think it was an affair on his side.

Here are my theories:

1) prosecution wanted a reaction out of her. Show the jury she’s showing no real emotion for the babies/parents which is unusual but gets emotional hearing this guys

2) prosecution wanted to show that the evidence been presented is truthful by the drs as if they show a guy taking the stand who clearly had emotional feelings for her but was also raising the same concerns everyone else/supporting the evidence was then it rubbish’s the whole “she’s a scapegoat” thing.
Defence could spin this though & still try push that she was a scapegoat due to the relationship.

3) prosecution want to show how she told him
Certain things via FB (data breach) that were then not told to anyone else/not in the notes. Shows her as untrustworthy.
Defence want to show their was a relationship & this dr was asking her things about work so she was answering them.

4) possibility that he got closer to her for a reason or the hospital realised they did have a relationship and maybe the asked this dr to keep an eye out/befriend her to see if she’d let anything slip. Maybe there are more texts to come that we haven’t seen yet. Maybe he was asking her things on purpose for them to compare the medical notes? Trying to get more concrete evidence for there to be a better investigation?
Defence could try spin the whole manipulated by a man who made her fall in love etc

I can’t think of any more at the min. There must be a reason though & one for both sides of the coin otherwise the defence wouldn’t have added more. Are they simply wanting to try show her as a “normal” 20 something year old?

I am finding Dr Jayaram evidence very damaging for LL.
What are the chances of him having doubts about her so going to check and low and behold here she is next to Baby K whose tube is dislodged and alarms switched off.
All these coincidences keep happening with her, i hope the jury see through that and realise it’s no coincidence……

Well imo todays evidence is pretty compelling. I have also been reading over the next few charges. It appears to be more detailed and that there is a lot more medical notes and documentation in comparison to previous charges. To me this suggests that while concerns were being brushed under the carpet , by management, the Drs and nurse were taking extra care in what they were recording (because they really were starting to connect the dots ?) Rashes have also been documented and the last three babies allegedly murdered have all had post-mortems! I don’t think that is a coincidence either.

The Dr sounds like a wet blanket as well. Telling her to have a cry, engaging with discussion about patent details over messenger. Bet they were perfect for each other.
Sizzling chemistry off both of them 🤣 just thinking back to what my messages were like with blokes I fancied at that age 😬 not discussing childhood thyroid issues that’s for sure 😬

So not only has she got a good job, a nice new home, friends, a social life and nice parents but she’s also got a sweet doctor that’s into her and leaving her chocolate to cheer her up and still she chooses to risk it all with these evil acts. I really don’t get it.

I just can’t even fathom how anyone can’t see that she’s done this. Like honestly we’re not even at the end of the prosecutions case and it’s so obvious. Even if she gets what 1 guilty verdict (unlikely) then she could get a lengthy prison term. I really hope the jury don’t mess this up. She’s evil.
That's the whole job of the prosecution though isn't it? To make the picture look in their favour/argument. If the defence come along and absolutely smash it, then they've also done their job - or if they fall on their faces then it strengthens the prosecution. A trial ebbs and flows. If you stuck me on a stand for murder of my husband I'd get found guilty half way through too based on my texts to my pals alone :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I think speculation over would she have poisoned all stock bags if targeting specific babies or how would she know which would be picked and get it right etc is clouding the evidence.

- child F and child L being poisoned with insulin is fact. Somebody intentionally harmed those babies.

- The evidence that the bags used for child F and child L were tampered with insulin is very strong because of how the babies presented and the inefficiency of treatment whilst the bags were still being used.

- The person who harmed these babies must have had access to all the bags

- I believe it’s been proven Lucy was the only staff member who had access to every single bag for both babies, remembering the number of staff handling the bespoke TPN bags is very small as these are not stock bags kept on a ward for days or weeks on end. So it’s very easy to eliminate people from those bags.

How she chose the stock bags and whether she did or didn’t poison all bags or if other babies were affected isn’t really relevant to the evidence that points to Lucy being the only person with opportunity to do this.

Imagine having all your romantic communications scrutinised by police, a courtroom and the wider public. I've never had a 🍆 pic (and I don't want one before you dirty girty's offer!) but I know that it's a thing that some males like to do, I don't see Dr Noname as that type but it would be mortifying for him if he had.

The whole point of this rambling post is to offer some advice to you frivolous young uns....don't send photos of your bits to anyone who might be a serial killer.

Exactly! I had read/heard the bit about her malevolent hand, but it really came to the forefront for me yesterday as I saw Dr. Jayaram’s statement about walking in on her, his instincts about her proven right. Suddenly I saw the large, overarching theme of a malevolent person sneaking around undoing everyone’s work with these preemies - injecting a bag here, pulling loose a breathing tube there, shooting them full of air, milk, clear substances, smothering, stabbing their tiny throats, punching their livers , turning off monitors, etc. To work with such a fiend and yet not entirely perceive it- worse yet, to suspect her and be on alert for babies in danger in her care - and walk in on her evil acts. Truly a malevolent force!
