I think it is because she knows she basically encouraged them to bugger off when they were cuddling their baby as it died. She’s trying to leave a paper trail that counteracts that. The parents specifically have mentioned they felt hurried along by a nurse matching her description and here she is saying they wanted to go.
I don’tonly think her texts are attention seeking, she says deliberate things that look very unnatural.
This specifically gives me shivers and I can't get my head around it...heartbreaking💔

Aee people on here aware that this is the prosecution case and as such only things that form their case are being brought up. I'd lay money there are thousands of other texts between other members of staff that are similar.
Yes, we're all aware and simply interpreting how the texts are coming across. Its not to imply guilt, it's attempting to gain an insight into her character.

I’ve wondered with a case as complex as this whether they are able to check that the jury member is capable of understanding the information particularly the medical stuff that will be shown to them throughout the trial?
If the jury are just randomly selected from members of the public then yes you will have some educated/intelligent people but then you will also have some uneducated and shall we say intellectually challenged people who would just not be able to get their head around it or have the capability to make a decision based on this no matter how much it is dumbed down.
Does anyone know whether this is something that is checked or they’re allowed to?
I worry about this on a daily basis......so much to take in and to " try to understand"...

But how can you get insight into her character from a few chosen texts when you have no idea what other texts say between other staff.

She’s constantly attention seeking in the texts but she isn’t asking how they are or offering support back.
This is what stands out to me. Unless she did but we’re not seeing that (yet).

I think taken in the context of the trial the fact that she was (probably) one of those annoying colleagues that you roll your eyes about can be taken to be odd behaviour when under the microscope like this. I think if nothing had happened and I was reading her texts I’m not sure I’d see anything malicious in them. Just… annoying. Some people do like to go on about things
Also wanted to add that I think it's normal for someone to be upset and express those emotions after a baby has just died. I know deaths happen in hospitals, but I can't imagine any scenario where I wouldn't be devastated by the sudden death of an infant. I know it must have an impact on healthcare workers in their personal lives, so don't think it's overly dramatic to send a few texts to colleagues or parents.

From the parents' statements, her manner seems to have been really inappropriate for the situation, though. That sets off alarm bells more than her texts. Some of those statements make her sound very cold and dismissive in her interactions with grieving parents. :(

Wasn’t the baby she was meant to be with getting worse? So you’d think she’d want to be with that one
Maybe the baby she was meant to be with had a condition which it was expected to survive and was not for resuscitation?
No challenge there then.
Sounds horrible saying that.

She could have but I get the impression the others wanted to just get on with it. She seems to cry about the "lack of team spirit" only when she's not getting the answers/replies she wants. But that's just what these messages show.

Does look like she was talking about other members of staff and how they were handling things
She has such an unnatural obsession with attention though. Like this constant need for everyone to fawn around her. She should have sought support from family and friends not colleagues. She oversteps boundaries that much is clear.

She’s also the one that seems to bring up the subject of the babies all the time, she texts other people to inform them of the deaths too which I find a bit off. Like she has to be the one to tell people.
Yeah she definitely comes across as enjoying the drama/sympathy of being the person to share the news.Am I i right that she wasn't even designated to baby C?

Cause it isn't just the texts, they are just adding to everything else we have heard of her so far.

She was designated a poorly baby in another room who she was told to keep a close eye on. Her senior had to tell her multiple times to care for this baby but she apparently ignored her.

I haven't seen her being supportive to other colleagues/asking if they're OK? It all seems very much "me me me" from what we've seen? Maybe me reading too much into it...but just seems odd?

But i think at this stage they’re just trying to only show ones that support their prosecution. Maybe at some point if there are other messages her defence will bring it up.

Edited to add I can see someone’s already replied with this so you’ve probs seen that!

I know people are saying it's normal to text constantly about patients and re-visit the trauma/negative feelings - but her own colleagues are telling her she needs to let it go, to take a break, switch off on holiday, that this isn't like her. So that means no one else considered this the norm.

otally agree, I’m firmly camp guilty and a LOT would need to be shown to make me think differently but I don’t see anything incriminating so far … god I’ve messaged colleagues and said things along the line of “ I would rather jump off a cliff than go to the next meeting or complete reports” 😂
During the heatwave, my sister couldn't get to a work meeting because a train track caught fire. She sent a text like 'yesss no work! train track's on fire'. Got to admit that would look terrible in court. 😬

she also said to a colleague in an earlier text that she thought the colleague had ‘done well’ during the collapse of Baby C. I see that as trying to be supportive

I really don't understand this. Why not that baby, why baby C. How was she picking and choosing, it's awful no matter which but I just want to understand why one baby and not the other 😞
