She's got so many lovely dresses, cute jacket+trouser suits, playsuits and jumpsuits in her wardrobe, I really don't think not buying a dress is an issue

"the fact that I haven't been gifted a dress even with 2 days to go until my birthday and I didn't think to buy one myself because of this proves that I'm officially a sell out" fixed it for you love x

That razor can cock off 😂
I like Lucy and I enjoy her content for the most part but the self depreciating stuff and ‘Oh yes my friends!’ vibe is wearing thin.
Also I’m slightly concerned that I’m starting to fancy Adam...

It has been mentioned before. It was pointed out there was no point having 2 seperate threads as its not very active, like a few other threads I comment on.

Like I said, it started out as a rave thread, things changed as Lucy changed and if it wasn't allowed I'm sure mods would tell us to start another thread. We're doing nothing wrong and I will continue to put my opinions here. Good or bad because that's what this thread is for 🤷🏻‍♀️

She explained in the video the workers always made sure to leave them with a toilet, they only didn’t have a toilet for one night and the builders had even brought in a cheap toilet after they ripped out the old toilet and in between getting the new toilet for them to use and she says she’s been just getting washed and stuff in the kitchen sink, I really don’t find it that unbelievable, I’ve been on some sport type holidays where I’ve not had a shower for a good week and a half, makes you feel groggy yeah but it’s more than doable and surely the workers will be doing everything possible to enable them to stay in their own homes because it’s literally the rules now and it can be bad for their business if they don’t

I’ve just watched her video and to be fair they’ve done some of the more expensive stuff ie the roof/guttering and now the boiler. I also think it’s admirable she’s not rushing in to it and really putting her own style on the house with the living room/bedroom. It’s very different to other videos I’ve seen. Even decorating is expensive, time consuming as well as pointless if she can’t do it all together (don’t understand not putting a lick of paint on the ceiling or flossing at the same time as doing the walls). Particularly with Covid wasn’t the easiest to get hold of things. I don’t think it’s laziness at all, I think it is a case of living in the space to see what you need/want and purchasing quality items rather than cheap throwaway furniture that won’t last. I personally think it’s a great idea and far less stressful than moving and doing it all at once.

Plus why should she be the one to do it all when they both work, both own the house and are quite obviously a very social couple and enjoy going out together too. Sure with lockdown that hasn’t happened as much. I don’t think it would be fair to judge and say she has loads of time when we don’t know her time management/schedule/cash flow to do these things or even just her mental state during lockdown which everyone has experienced differently.

She’s mentioned that at least 3 times now. 😐

I really like her but the ads, subtle begs, gifted r2d2 bracelet type things (omg, amazing!!!!... wore it once, never seen again) are a bit much now.

And the homeownership is so expensive chat, it is, but you chose London. Go back to the Wirral if it’s that bad, where she could get the same house for a fifth or a quarter of what she paid for the house she has. And she probably wouldn’t have to shuffle through the kitchen in a towel after a bath.

London and the South house prices blow my mind!

I can kind of understand her selling the stuff and keeping the money 😬, as if it is payment for featuring the brands. Though to avoid the backlash, if I was her, I’d have set up a more anon account and sold sporadically so as not to give herself away.

So I thought I wouldn't mind that Lucy's new video is an AD for Look Fantastic. 20% discount for the followers is kinda generous but at the same time, most of these website these days always offers some discounts, referral codes and so on. You can quite easily look up discount codes online so is the 20% really that good? I guess if you were eyeing something for a while, it's nice to buy it with a discount but that's it.
Then she shows a few favourite products and the first one is that Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. She loves it, would recommend to anyone to try and she's currently on her 4th or 5th jar.
Pardon, excuse me?
The thing costs £44 for the 240 ml tub.
This coming from a girl who is having to save up to get her kitchen done and told us repeatedly how nice was it of her future brother in law (I think the present was from Adam's brother? Or someone in Adam's family) to buy her a posh Aesop hand wash, like she was a poor hungry girl selling matchsticks for living and couldn't afford nice things.
I am not saying people are not allowed to buy a 40 quid body cream id they can afford it. Go for it. I try and save money on certain things so I can spend a little extra on my skincare. But don't go telling people how you could only afford a tiny old cottage in London that needs a lot of TLC, how you have to save up money before you can do the kitchen up, all while you serve us a sponsored video after a sponsored video after being rather quiet for a number of months - because you remembered that viewers are your cash cow

I like her. I do think she's relatable but I am also a privileged, fairly lazy, white girl.

I would be hesitant calling Lucy lazy though, she has talked about her mental health a lot and we know she goes to therapy. I think the self deprecating humour is part of this too. Lockdown has been hard on everyone, Lucy already has struggles with her mental health, she's far away from family and I don't know if her therapy sessions have been cancelled during all of this?

It may be due to funds, it might be that she's not in the right place mentally or it may just be that she can't be arsed. It doesn't bother me though, it's her house.

I'm glad her content he's gone away from the size 14/16 hauls though, I enjoyed them but they were obviously having an impact on her mental health. She ended up becoming this big body positivity advocate when she's not that body confident in herself, must have been quite difficult and conflicting.

Was nobody else shocked at how little they have done in their new house? Especially during lockdown?! 😳
Everyone is different and budgets are different. I think they’ve done enough to make it theirs. I imagine the roof repairs, living room floor, gas leak, now a new boiler is costing them a bit. I’ve owned my house just over a year and only repainted two rooms.

The house would have originally had no bathroom and just an outside toilet. It’s not uncommon for some old terraced houses to have an odd layout like that to accommodate a bathroom later. Bigger ones losing a bedroom (or part of) smaller ones, sometimes it’s just a little extension on the back. Her house has had to lose some kitchen space to fit it in.

You can’t just say that and not spill the tea !!
Ok purely for my fellow Tattlers, as having considered it, it only ‘outs’ me to Lucy and, well, 🤷‍♀️

I posted here about being disgusted about her selling gifted clothes on Depop. I said on here that I messaged her on Instagram and she ignored it. Not too long later she replied to my Instagram message saying that my message had got lost in her “bigger” inbox hence the delay and that this is why she had never replied to anything I’d said before then (as I’d replied to stories a number of times in the past when watching them).

So she definitely went through her messages looking for the person that had said on Tattle that they had messaged her about it. I can only assume she also wanted me to feed back her response lmao so in short she does donate some money to charity regularly, and can’t always take clothes to charity shops because she doesn’t have a car?

Aww I hope she doesn’t read here then. She’s annoying and not my cup of tea but I hope a surprise like that isn’t ruined by speculation. Good on Adam if he did conspire with the family! That’s a cute idea if she doesn’t usually wear rings that he could check.

Geeez Louise it's their own sink, I am sure they know how to clean it after washing their bits ;) It's not like they've left in someone who's lived on the streets for years to have a wash. I am note sure why people are so precious about them using the kitchen sink. Have you never been in a toilet in a workplace or a public place and heard someone leave without washing hands? And that person then walks around touching surfaces and handles? It's just them in their own place, with their own bacteria, that are in their home anyway 😅 Also they're used to going to festivals where facilities are limited? It's nice to be all glamorous and have another bathroom or to be able to go away/stay in a hotel when you do a bathroom up but I actually don't mind it that Lucy is being a bit too real for once. Not everyone has the option to go away plus the global pandemic and lockdowns make your options a lil' limited.
I agree I think it’s a bit OTT. It’s their home which they clean - they can’t use gyms or other peoples homes atm (although I wouldn’t blame them for using a shower if someone lives locally!). So they are making do - it’s not forever and you can clean yourself well enough in a sink for a week or so!

If a channel becomes “advertising with personality” then it’s a turn off. Sorry, just how it is. People subscribe because they find value somewhere, whether that be relatability or learning something or simple light entertainment. People don’t tend to watch for advertising campaigns.

when YouTubers make content purely to house or shoehorn in an ad, it feels like they’re treating you with a little bit of contempt. Like they don’t care about a community relationship between creator and viewer (which it was how it was before commercialism took over) but rather how much money they can make off the back of watch time. The laziest of all this type of content is a a vlog with ad.

There’s a difference between making a video just so you can advertise something, and making a video that happens to have an ad in it because the opportunity came up. That difference is the reason behind why they’re creating.

There’s also nothing wrong with not ironing clothes lmao I never iron my clothes unless I’m going somewhere like out for dinner or to a party where it needs to be ironed or it’s my work uniform, most clothes don’t need ironed and if it did why would you iron just for sitting about the house all day lmao unnecessary chore that makes no one happy
Exactly lol I never iron unless it’s desperate.

The irony of that rude post is that the poster tells Lucy she should iron her clothes and do some housework, then complains Lucy’s like a middle aged housewife. Like babe what...
