Why not pop on a pair of gloves... I think she's got a real alcohol problem, there is zero attention to detail, really sloppy personal care when it's her actual job to look well presented. Drinking to escape reality, a dying husband and a dying career.

I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope that perhaps she's just not showing the grief and upset his terminal diagnosis has caused. But then she goes off to Glasto for 3 days and knows it looks bad, so claims he bought it for her. That's calculated, and shows she's aware of what she's doing. Is there a chance she's just taken it so badly that she's gone off on benders? Surely no one can be so cold...

Tbh I did think this. He might be better coping on his own because how much use would she be ? He’s not daft, in denial maybe but not daft. He knows it has to be about her and she lives for shopping and alcohol and she spirals very quickly if she isn’t getting out and about. They have to continue the lovey dovey narrative, but it’s obvious that it’s full steam ahead for old filter face.
