LL off topic #10 The Wrong Fellas

I went a a designer outlet today, 8.45, early bird catches it..... not open until 10am .
I had a brief wander around the town before nipping back. Bagged myself some 'magic' jeans from M&S for £25.

I also bought a box of Bounty profiteroles from Iceland.... ate one semi frozen cos I'm a greedy pig

We spent the night in hospital and mini is a little bit better but not much the issue now is her bum is so sore, to the point it’s bleeding, so she doesn’t want to poo because it hurts so much. We’ve been referred to a specialist about it and given some antiseptic cream but I feel utterly useless because she is still in agony

Did they not offer a sachet or suppository to ease her build up? We used movicol, have you tried any over the counter remedies?

She’s on Movicol already; I was giving her 4 sachets then dropped to 2 as she seemed better but I think she is impacted again so we are back to square 1 I keep trying to get her to sit in the bath but she won’t because it’s so painful

I’ve got some spray that’s meant to form a barrier cream but she’s now so sore she has a meltdown when I have to change or wipe her bum. It’s awful. I keep telling myself that by tomorrow it will be better and by Monday even more so but it’s difficult

Poor thing! Would going nappyless so the air gets to it help? Obviously more messy for you but might soothe it for her? Bless her

My boy had the same, the yellow Metanium was a life saver and healed him really quite quickly. I smothered it nice and thick.

It looked like he'd been scalded at some points, was utterly awful and it lasted on and off for over a year

No advice for the constipation other than what you've done but I hope she's better soon

My friends little boy had it once really bad, she used Vaseline, dunno if that would work all of mine tit like foxes

Can you up her movicol, as a struggling parent I definitely would, you know her best.

A Jamaican friend would always suggest a little bit of soap!..... we never did but according to them their culture swore by it.

Sitting with knees slightly raised above the hips is helpful so a foot stool or box at the toilet..... I honestly know hers & your pain, I pray she ASAP.

Thanks guys I will try the yellow metanium and see if that helps! Thankfully she seems to have turned a corner tonight (fingers crossed!), I’ve been smothering her in this cream I got from Tesco but can’t remember the name of now 🥲 she’s also stopped going constantly which I think helps and last two nappy changes we’ve not had anywhere near the screaming and crying we’ve had for the last few days. I’ve also been topping her up with calpol and neurofen alternatively for the pain which seems to be helping. She’s now asleep in bed and for the first time in two nights isn’t crying out in pain in her sleep so I’m really hoping she is through the worst of it. I feel absolutely drained and then to top it all off the baby tit absolutely everywhere as if he was showing off to his big sister how easy he finds it 🥲
