Liz does have a very warped view of the world where caring=throwing vast sums of money about. It’s the same as all the unwanted expensive gifts she’s bought in an attempt to get people to like her. She’s actually said as much. It’s quite some admission that she tries to bribe people to like her.

The first thing she did was swap out a clean dog bed which just shows that the poor dog was just lying in her own filth. Then she holds her up by her harness because she can't stand alone. I carried my old girl outside because she couldn't manage the steps but she could still potter around on the level. And, of course, there's the litany of Poor Me with all the dreadful events that Mini has been by her side for.
A friend of mine just paid £18k for emergency surgery for their elderly and unwell dog, who then spent several weeks in pain in a cage before the end, unsurprisingly, came. She is a massive dog lover and it tore her apart but I do question the value of it for her and the dog.
A friend of mine raised £10K for spinal surgery on her dog with poor odds on whether it would work which I thought, just no. In the end it cost much more with after care etc. but the dog is running around and happy now. It's a hard call, the dog was in discomfort for a long while before it could walk again.
I think there are a lot of factors at play - a young dog is a different proposition to an elderly dog with a lot of existing health issues. Also the health condition and chances of recovery matter too. What's clear and relevant here is that Jones prolongs the suffering of her dogs for her own benefit, not their welfare. Also, dear God her house must stink.
I have three elderly dogs, two fifteen and one fourteen, and the loo roll and disinfectant is always at hand! However, I have wooden floors throughout and all of them are capable of getting out of bed - it's just being caught short in the night, not making it out of the open door in time, or I'm not speedy enough letting them out of a closed door. As someone in their sixties with a dodgy bladder, I can sympathise with my old ladies! Pottering around in the garden and sunbathing on the warm drive is now their thing rather than long walks and one needs a run up to get up the steps. They love their [dog] food and, even more, dog treats. I'm really conscious of any smell there might be but not one of them soils their bed.
My previous dog lived to be 17. His legs gave way on his last walk and I had to carry him home but he struggled to get down as we reached our hours so I put him down and he walked in under his own steam. I never took him on a walk again but he lived another 6 months just pottering around the house and garden.

Mine was coming to the end, the vet said she is perky and waggy tailed but its coming. We arranged it all then. While sitting me me one evening it began, she was shaking, trembling, clearly not right. Phoned vets to explain, she said give her the tranquilizers I gave you and I'll be there shortly. Vet came, she was on the bed lying with us. Vet said no coming back from this something has ruptured after feeling her stomach. Did the deed and we later placed her in the garden as we had already prepared. Bill was for out of hours vet but she didn't have go to the vets which she hated. We did the best we could.
Assuming it's all true (never certain withLJ), I do think she's brave to tackle those travellers. She didn't need to add her usual witchy comments about pillow lips, botox and vape though.
And the bit about giving Mini puppy 'end of life' care shows how delusional she is. That dog spent it's end of life lying in its own mess.
Its a bit rich criticising someone else who has botox, pillow lips when she is no stranger to treatments. She's had the face lift, weird eyebrows, turkey teeth and a whole host of other stuff. Why is it fine for her but no-one else should have it.
Because in Liz’s head, she looks beautiful with it, whereas others look ridiculous.

That’s the bit that didn’t sit well with me either. She paints herself as some kind of saint. She forced her dog to live in pain and indignity for far longer that she should have done. I appreciate it’s so hard to let them go, but we have to end their suffering.
I live in an area with quite a lot of settled travellers, a traveller park close by and also visiting travellers that park up here and there. I’ve never read so much balls from her than the diary this weekend. There are some issues with travellers of course like leaving rubbish or saying work needs doing on your house and charging elevated amounts for it but travellers DO look after their ponies. That’s the majority of their money, and how theyre judged by other travellers. Thats how they do deals with other families. You can take that or leave that which is fine but the biggest ever lie that’s ever come out of her mouth is she says she confronted them and played the hero and they sat there and took it.

I’m sure some travellers do love and look after their ponies but I’ve personal experience of several instances when they absolutely do not!
Good and bad, like in every group of society.
You only have to see the ponies tethered on the side of the road in all weathers. By Cardiff steel works to know they don't all look after their ponies .
Fair play to her if she did actually confront them. But as we all know, she's a lying toerag so it's probably all in her imagination.
Funny how Liz so often claims to be too timid and terrified to do anything, then also claims to take on entire traveller families. She thinks she's Dora on Follyfoot i reckon.

Her total lack of manners, the inability to make the slightest small talk with folk serving her in a shop or wherever is not the selling point she thinks it is. Even if you've got a legitimate grievance with British gas, or whoever she says she's paying thousands to each month, it isn't the fault of the individual she's speaking to, no wonder she is a failure at life and can't sustain any relationship.
