Quote taken from the guardian:

Kitchen said four of the injured were children. He said 20 people were treated for minor injuries. 27 were taken to hospital and two of them, including one child are thought to have sustained serious injuries.

and this is why I hate the rumour mill that circulates, no deaths is great news, yet I got a message off a friend that was there and someone else on here was told by someone “who knows someone” at the hospital of deaths.

what kind of person spreads lies like that.
Social media is awful

I find it crazy how a couple of people have posted on here saying their “friends” or “families” who work at the local hospitals have confirmed x amount of people dead. When there are in fact, no one dead. (Thank god). Rumours are shocking.
My brother is Merseyside police and told me a while ago no deaths so I don’t know where those imbeciles are getting their info from

See ya.don't let the door hit ya on the way out.
There's good and bad people in every city, Liverpool is the same as any other comparable city.
Yer late to the pile on but a great example of what I was talking about. It'll never fix what it won't acknowledge.

Didn’t want to comment on here until I knew the FACTS. So many people quick to assume the worse. So pleased to hear there are no fatalities and sending love to all those that are injured ❤. Liverpool people are some of the best I’ve ever met and as a big football fan I find it so sad that a day of celebration has been tainted x

Absolutely horrific.
I can't question a single person that's tried to stop the car amongst the crowds, who knows how you would react in that situation.
I don't think we should be speculating on how many may have lost their lives, there's people here that have loved ones there, it's spreading panic. Wait for official announcements 🙏
I hope this doesn't snowball in to more attacks being carried out. When will people learn that this isn't the way to resolve things 😔
Keeping all involved and waiting news on their loved ones in my prayers tonight

They were protecting him so that they could arrest him. Can’t question or charge a dead man.
Yes I know that but equally maybe the people there who's lives were actually endangered didn't have much confidence in the police to actually protect them since they were so slow on the uptake... or any hope for actual justice?
...not much hope for charges on something like this, social media tweets maybe, but actually hurting other people not so much.

I know, I’m absolutely fuming that I believed my friend and then carried that information here.
I’m really sorry for that. She said she was on Water St when it happened so had no reason not to believe it.

It's no wonder people talk about 'false flags', the response to it all seems so coordinated sometimes.
Wouldnt that be because they train for incidents so know how to respond.
Bit like when the Queen died it was all planned how to announce etc

Anyone who has a friend of a friend of a friend working in the Royal, spreading lies and causing fear - what a horrible b to be associated with.

same as the people sharing videos of a massive crime on Facebook. bleeping hand your video over to the police - social media really brings out the worst in people.

Disgraceful the rumours that get spread with no facts behind them. And also to be expected but the tin foil hat brigades comments at times like this 🫣🫣 Have some respect for those injured and their loved ones before spouting unhinged conspiracy theories.

I saw a comment on a video that said the driver had been shouting in Arabic. Like no he bleeping hadn't! Some people are so sick
X is an absolute cesspit. The number of people I’ve seen posting pictures of brown guys with fullly made up names and backstories is horrendous. The botfarms and far right trolls jump on stuff like this immediately

People did this on here when Kate (duchess) was in hospital too. Suddenly everyone knew someone who worked at the hospital and knew what she was in for. None of them were correct.
It's really bloody weird.
