X is an absolute cesspit. The number of people I’ve seen posting pictures of brown guys with fullly made up names and backstories is horrendous. The botfarms and far right trolls jump on stuff like this immediately

It’s so bizarre. I live in the Middle East, where I’m from mosques and churches are built next to eachother and everyone lives their lives as normal, social media really brings out the worst in people

There was about 3 hours non stop footage on both BBC and Sky news channels of the parade, before this happened.

I think they've learned a cold hard lesson since Southport. If they don't get at least even the most basic of facts out swiftly then it's a digital version of Chinese whispers which spreads like misinformation wild fire.

This is what it looks like to me, an entitled twit of a middle aged man (aren’t they always) who’s got pissed off because he couldn’t drive down the street he wanted to go down. I’ve actually witnessed similar behaviour at a much smaller event. God forbid a man can’t get where he wants to get to.

Surely that's a policing issue - why was the driver allowed to drive on the road when it was still blocked with hundreds of people due to the parade? Why/how was he even there?

Yes I know that but equally maybe the people there who's lives were actually endangered didn't have much confidence in the police to actually protect them since they were so slow on the uptake... or any hope for actual justice?
...not much hope for charges on something like this, social media tweets maybe, but actually hurting other people not so much.

The reaction was understandable - as well as being heightened by alcohol in a large proportion of the crowd IMO. That’s not a criticism just an observation from local news showing people drinking at 8.30am.
I think the reaction was people reacting to what was happening at the time. Not them having a think about whether the guy will be charged and convicted or not. It sounds like you have something personal against the police.

No it’s an entitled man issue as always. But the parade was ending and people were starting to disperse, some roads had already started to reopen.

Absolutely this. People seem so determined to spread a false narrative when ever something like this happens. I’ve seen so many things on Tik tok and X tonight which clearly is to get people worked up.

I don’t think this man drove into a crowd of people as a distraction for what’s going on in Gaza. Both are valid issues, one affecting people in the UK directly hence the interest??

I'm not complaining about the coverage of the attack. I was complaining about the 3 hours before the attack.
