Why does Liverpool have so many problems with the rum of the earth living there?

I know they're a minority of people in the city but there's so many awful people in that city.
Oh come on, surely you know good and bad co-exist in every facet of society. Liverpool is hurting tonight and this is a pointless, insensitive comment.

This is the supposed suspect doing the rounds on X. Can't be right, he's not 53. Unless the arrest is someone else connected to it?
The man in the middle isn’t him. He’s from a different video from earlier on, he got in a police car, stole a police hat and was messing about in front of the crowds pretending he was a copper, with everyone laughing at him, from before the actual event happened.

I don’t think it’s relevant or helpful to come onto a post about a big incident that has just happened, where there are deaths and speculation around terror, not give a passing thought or comment to any of the victims, or even speculate about the perp and just call the people of Liverpool rum.
Jesus christ I did not. I'm one of them. I called the dealers who've taken over rum. And I did comment how sad I was for all affected. Try reading what I wrote, not what you decided I wrote. The entire thread is speculation and opinion until we know the facts.

Liverpool is an amazing city , and scousers are the warmest funniest people you could meet.

Really hope this dreadful incident it isn’t as bad as it looks.
People just enjoying their day celebrating their team winning the title.
The city doesn’t need another horrid incident with its fans as the victims again . YNWA #Justice for LFC fans

I suppose the extent of injury and any (further) arrests won't come out to late into the evening/early morning as the dust settles.

It really worries me. I know it not every event but it does seem like it sometimes. I'm taking my 11 year daughter the Edinburgh Summer Sessions and just the thought of that amount of people in one place is something I haven't done much of recently.

And do you know what, not to correct you (I ain't after a fight 😘) but those people could have been from anywhere.

We were stood at the bottom of Water St until 5.45pm next to a bunch of blokes from Slough, and a lovely lady with a young baby in a pram from bloody Yemen!! I mean tbf the blokes from Slough were just up for a day-trip (the lady from Yemen wasn't on a jolly...she's lived here for 18 months lol), but all were absolutely lovely, really enjoying the day. We were surrounded by many locals, but loads of people who had come from all over.

I'd hope that any able-bodied person on the street would have jumped in to stop that car if they could. Scouser or not.
Sorry I should have clarified, I meant Liverpool FC fans which I assumed most people there were. However I do get your point that i think anyone who could was jumping on that car trying to stop the guy.

I'm so glad you and your family are ok And my thoughts are with your city right now ❤

I went to university there, I absolutely loved it instantly and I’ve returned time and time again ❤ Worked for a bit after I finished my degree, made some great Scouse mates.

Friend of a friend said there’s 3 dead and 8 critical in Fazackerley. I think there’ll be a lot more in the Royal. Tragic.
😱😱😱
How and why are people turning this into a Liverpool city bashing thread? Honestly. Some people went out to watch their teams trophy parade today and ended up under a bleeping car. I was there with my two very young children and to think we were 5 mins from being caught up in this absolutely shakes me to the core. It’s nothing to do with the city, the crime rates. It could have happened to anyone and anywhere. Seriously, those taking it as a chance to have a swipe at the city - have a day off 🥱
Shocking

Journalist on the news said his team were ushered into a building and told to lock the doors, they looked out over the balcony and saw paramedics carrying out CPR on somebody 😥 absolutely awful, so upsetting that this has happened

I wouldn't rise to them. You did not call the whole of Liverpool rum, but they decided to invent that you did.

From the video that I saw, he defo stopped after bumping some people slowly then turned the car (deliberately from looks of it) and sped up hitting a larger crowd.

I have two friends who have posted from the parade but haven't posted in a while. I feel like
I'm just Hanging on waiting for them to post.

You're absolutely right....i guess I just thought that many of us might presume that fans would be local scousers but it was such a wonderful international crowd! I knew what you meant, and thanks xxx
