Seen a couple of people post or comment on things about a name initial PM (not going to write it incase it’s another incorrect name) unfair if these names about being thrown around and it is not the driver innocent people. But the name on companies house shows an address west derby and of age 53. Surely if he has to be charged today before any more false names comes out and these people have to be worried for safety with false news

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. A few months ago I drove into my local city centre unaware that there was a huge football match on. The route I drove was very busy with people celebrating, there was a very big police presence (including mounted police) and the roads were not closed. Even so there were people spilling out into the road and the only way to safely navigate was to inch along very carefully. It felt claustrophobic and was a scary experience (especially as I had my kids with me), my heart was racing and my palms were sweaty. I can imagine easily panicking if I was off my bits and the situation I was in sounds much more controlled and less scary than Liverpool.

Whilst I understand the panic scenario, to aim your car at people, multiple times, at anything above the slowest crawl speed possible (which wouldn't be acceptable either, but...), has got to be the drug impact response? Even if panicking, no rational person would react that way, surely?! Park up & dial 999/hit the horn to get attention. But why did he even follow the ambulance anyway? I think the only thing certain at the moment is that he shouldn't have been driving, anywhere.

It must be so frustrating for the police who are following the legal process yet now they have to worry about social media and people targeting the wrong individuals. The public shouldn't even be worrying about that. It's so sad what we've turned into.

I think lots of people know who it is already as I’ve seen speculation he’s ex-military and now the press seem to confirm it. With a “source” saying he claims a memory blackout of the incident. Setting up his defence already it seems.

Everyone's seen the video where he appears to drive at speed into the larger part of the crowd.

I think this country has a huge issue with male rage, as seen by those baying for blood now as well as by the drivers actions. I can appreciate he was maybe angry, frustrated, possibly even afraid. But those are real (& innocent) people, you can't just react like that. He's very lucky no-one died.

I was stuck on a train with football fans recently and it wasn't fun. Vast majority of fans are fine but even some who are just having fun show zero consideration for those around them. I've picked my partner up from matches before too and it's crazy the amount of people who just walk into the road without looking.

This was a little different though with the volume of people
