Why do all the chavs go totally ott for religious sacraments? The marquees, pyjamas, parties, pampering? I donāt get it? Are they avid church goers?
Theyāre all what our parish priest would call āA La Carte Catholicsā only seen in the church when they want a wedding, christening, communion, christening etc. and not any other time of the year. Theyāre probably not contributing with envelopes or collection baskets either. I know a lot of the younger generation have gone this way though. In a lot of other countries if you want your kids to go to a Catholic school you have to be an active member of your local church
