I definitely don’t think she’s staying in uni halls because she’s got wayyyy too much stuff?? And I swear when you go to uni halls you have time slots to arrive and stuff due to parking and she seems to still be at home? Unless they are old stories

i swear a history degree is gonna be so hard GCSE was enough for me lmao. she must be smart her A-level grades were good but it just doesn’t come across at all
Same I got an A* in GCSE and nearly considered switching my A level options to take it but was like noooo it will kill me off I definitely think it's one of the harder humanities and you do have to be pretty intelligent to be studying it to that level but I also think uni grading will throw her off, like in her A level results video you can tell she was expecting better than what she got (even though she did really well) but uni grading can be very harsh it definitely threw me the first few times I got work back and took me a while to get used to the grading system as it's so different to a level and even with the first year doesn't count mentality I do think she'll be in for a bit of a shock when she realises that she's going to actually have to work hardddd for 2:1/first marks (and she did say in the a level video she cries at everything so is likely to cry at bad marks) especially doing history (I did an english degree which is similar in a sense that your work is subjective so if your lecturer doesn't agree with your opinion or the way you've chosen to frame your essay you're not going to do well) she just seems very underprepared and uninformed about uni in general

She’s in for a big shock I reckon. She’s taking sooo much unnecessary stuff, if it’s a halls room looool can’t wait to see her reaction 😂 the worlds tiniest basket for laundry I’m crying at this ikea vid 😂 a plant 😂😂 vases?!😂😂 GLASS wine glasses honestly enjoy someone borrowing and smashing them 2 weeks in hun. Also I guarantee she’ll dislike her course because she’ll have very little choice in terms of content and loads of reading and essays...having done a law degree I can confirm she’s gunna have to work hard to get decent grades

Ohhh and now she’s buying candles and glass candlestick holders...hey Lidia here’s some advice
1) make sure you hide them in halls or they’ll get confiscated
2) all this glass stuff will sure be fun to transport at the end of the year when you move home for summer 😂

When I stayed in mine I didn't have to book slots to arrive, also her mum mentioned her plates being stolen or something which is typical flat mates behaviour 😅 Lidia kept emphasising how she doesn't even know how big her room is, which was the same case for me cus I didn't book a viewing, with flats you usually do have to have a viewing ect.

I could be completely off tho but I do think she's living in halls lol

Omg she's so stupid! Insisting on getting the wine glasses when her mum was saying it's not a good idea haha. There's so much stuff you can just get when you're there. There are shops in Manchester Lidia! And wanting a rug... Just wait and see if you need it! Then going shopping again for "just extra stuff to decorate that I don't really need😜" they have sostrene grene in Manchester, you'll be ok.

I also think she's going to struggle with the course. History of art wasn't even originally what she wanted to do, let alone just history. She originally wanted to do Art, then journalism with art at Leeds. At least she's good at that and would have a bit of a passion. I did humanities at Manchester and it's bleeping hard. If it's a course you're not even into and she also has her influencer/YouTube money to fall back on its going to be tempting to quit when it gets difficult.

I’m thinking private halls something from unite or vita (like this maybe: https://www.unitestudents.com/manchester/artisan-heights?yearSelected=20/21) She’s probs got the money to stay somewhere nicer 🧐

Buying the rug not knowing if it fitted was so silly if you want a rug fair enough but at least wait until you see the room first like me and my flatmates went shopping for home stuff together in like the second week not to mention photos of uni halls/flats online are very deceptive the room is most definitely going to be smaller than she’s expecting even if she has the money for the most expensive halls whether they’re private or not the rooms are still a very average size you just pay more for a double bed and en suite and stuff, I have to wonder was she paying for all of that IKEA stuff or did her mum pay?? My parents bought me some stuff when I first went to uni but straight up would’ve not let me buy half the stuff she was getting it’s just so silly

Lidia won’t make any friends because they will all be peasants in her eyes

I don't think she'll make friends easily because I don't think people are going to be impressed by her instagram following and the lifestyle she's used to with multiple expensive holidays a year and PR packages etc because they just won't relate to her and will most likely be living off just their student loans and working to try and have enough money to make it through uni. From experience you can always tell which students are wealthier based on the cars they/their parents drive, their instagrams when they're at home, if they go on holidays a lot etc etc. and while being from a posher background or a different social class doesn't always make a difference in terms of making friends in uni, I do think it will in her case if she spends the whole first few months vlogging and trying to insert herself into the manchester influencer scene and talking about her lifestyle to all her new flatmates and bringing all this fancy stuff with her they'll probably be like wtf also she likes to talk about herself a lot (like her birthday being a massive deal) and I just don't see the majority of people she's going to meet there being into that and I think she'll just end up isolating herself

Couldn’t have said it better myself, I believe she will end up dropping out

I think she will drop out by December and use YouTube as her reason
If she did things right she could use uni to really leverage her youtube channel and make relatable youtube videos that students would want to watch and actually develop her personality instead of copying S&C and tagging along with them everywhere and grow her following so she actually has enough money to do youtube full time on her own as a job, but seems unlikely based on the last 2 uni videos she's made

I can’t believe she bought that huge rug 😭 there is not gonna he enough floor space for that if she’s in halls !

I think Lidia is treating her moving to college as her moving into her own place to live her own life? As in she’ll have a place like Cinzia but just has to do a bit of college on the side? She must have friends in college who’ve told her what it’s like and she’s out here stocking up for an entire apartment

You have slots this year due to the pandemic and in some places only one person can come to your room with you, she’s going to have a meltdown when her parents have to leave and she’s left alone to find spots for her 300 candle holders and tiny glass vases
