Maya Henry said yesterday that he would threaten suicide and was doing this recently with her.

I haven’t followed the Liam Payne stuff at all and I don’t know anything about Maya Henry. I don’t know what he’s accused of doing.

But I’ve absorbed over recent months that he was behaving erratically, wasn’t in a good place and pretty obviously was spiralling into drugs.

I’m not sure what his ex was hoping to achieve by giving public interviews about him to what looks like a couple of teenagers.

I’m not defending him or attacking her but I think if someone is struggling and in a dark place, then you should be the bigger person and not stick the knife in.

Can anyone explain why this news has left me terrified? I wasn’t a big 1D or Liam fan but obviously knew who he was as most people do. But this has left me so unsettled and I have no idea why. Literally read the news last night and when I had to go downstairs to make my baby’s bottle in the night I was actually scared.
Maybe I’m just weird, I can’t explain it 😂
Sometimes particular news stories just resonate with you and leave you with strong feelings. A broadway star died a couple of weeks ago, he was quite young (well, 48) and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in July and died in September. He was so full of life and amazing and my brain just couldn’t quite process his death. I felt really down for a good few days.

Unless she's been getting abuse from 1D fans and felt the need to try and clear some things up?

I can understand your view, but on the other hand, she is allowed to tell her truth. She claims to have been abused by him - why should she keep quiet on that.

I hope she has good people around her right now. She must be feeling a lot of complicated emotions and getting online abuse from Liam's fandom isn't good.

Gavins death hit me hard. And I don’t even know why. He wasn’t massively on my radar but I admired him hugely as a performer. But his death shocked me & the tributes to him were so beautiful they made me cry.

It’s normal to feel shocked & very saddened at the death of a celebrity or someone you admired, even if you don’t know them. They were in your life in some way, even though you weren’t in theirs. And via social media, in some cases, you literally follow their day to day lives.

Liam was troubled & clearly not always the best person. But if you were a fan of him or 1D, it’s OK to feel really sad. Feel your feelings. Talk it out. Get a hug. Cry. Be kind to yourself while you feel grief. 🩷

he's the male caroline flack. he's had the piss taken out of him on videos by a multitude of celebrities over the year - limmy, justin hawkins etc. there was a video put up the ther day - liam payne - try not to cringe video. he's saw all these and he's finally flipped and jumped.

limmy has made so many of these videos, he's now disabled comments underneath his videos
Caroline flack was a domestic abuser, Liam seemed to be abusive with the restraining order, so they have got that in common.

If you are celeb it's part and parcel people will criticise you, don't want it don't take the lifestyle.

How horrible it will be for Bear when he grows up and has access to all the videos mocking his dad on the run up to his death. I know Liam behaved in that way but I just can’t imagine how devastating it will feel for him.

I was thinking also about Niall that he seems relatively normal and happy compared to the rest of them. I wonder what was different for him?
I remember years ago reading that while the rest of the band were having matching tattoos, Niall didn't cave into peer pressure and never got a tattoo. I thought at the time that was very sensible behaviour for an 18 year old in that industry. I think he's just very level headed, brought up grounded and isn't an impulsive personality type.

Reports are saying that he had a cranial fracture. You've got to be in a pretty dark place to throw yourself from a balcony.

I feel sorry for his little boy. Losing a parent that young is so sad.

i think he was far game for criticism. there has just been an increase in the liam payne piss taking videos that have been uploaded in the last month. incidentally that liam payne try not to cringe video has been taken down

I don’t think you’re weird. I had a very similar feeling to what you described when I heard about Michael Jackson’s passing. I hadn’t been a fan for years, but I felt very freaked out and unsettled by it. I think hearing news like this at nighttime plays a part in too maybe? And of course the shock of it. So please don’t feel like you’re weird, I think it’s a very human reaction.

One of the music channels is playing 1D videos all day. A tear came to my eye on the bit of Story Of My Life where they show his whole family together

I don’t think they’re comparable at all, she was abused by the press for everything.

Sorry but Maya Henry should feel the heat slightly, she’s in no way responsible for his death and had every right to share her experiences, he was a scumbag for what he did to her there’s no taking away from that but it doesn’t change she has turned it into a media circus
And the other victims who were empowered to talk of their experience who came forward after Maya went public, would have continued to live with it silently.
He used his fame /power to silence them.

I have a somewhat tenuous connection to Liam (don't want to say too much in case I doxx myself) but when I heard the news last night, I was shocked but not surprised. Didn't sleep very well last night and just now feel really sad. You could see for a while that he was in a bad way and, tbh, I didn't see it ending well for him.

I hope the press are a bit more tasteful in the coverage of his death than of his recent life but based on what I'm seeing online, sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.

I feel so sad for his family and especially Bear. I can't imagine having to tell my child that their father has died. I am sure Cheryl will have lots of support but that won't make it much easier.

I don't know much about him either but I was aware he has been made fun of recently? Was this for his general behaviour or something else? It's sad for his son.
