Has Liam’s family put out any statements regarding Kate doing interviews
I don't believe so.

Probably for the best to be honest, as even if they don't personally agree with it, Liam clearly cared for her, and she's said nothing horrifying for his son to look back on.

To preface, i absolutely hear your point of view as someone who was in the position of the addict and I can’t imagine how awful that must’ve been to experience - I hope you’re in a better place. I’m going to come from the point of someone that experienced domestic violence as a result of drug abuse, I just wanted to say hope this doesn’t read as an attack towards you because it’s not x

My ex was a ray of sunshine to everyone that knew him, everyone loved him, no one ever had a bad word to say about him, he was everyone’s favourite person. Whilst that relationship ended a few years ago now, I still hope that they are able to get better and I loved them deeply, but even to this day there are times it still kills me that the version of him I knew is not the version everyone else saw, and that none of our mutual friends except one believed me. With Liam being adored by a large portion of people who believe he can do no wrong, I can absolutely understand why Maya might have wanted to public tear him down and out. I can’t put into words how hard it is to deal with having to see and hear how great someone who was so abusive to you is and at the time of my relationship ending, it honestly took all of my willpower not to blast him on social media and beg people to understand what he was really like.

This is not to say I think Maya handled it the best, or that it excuses all of the bullying Liam faced, but that I do understand why she did it.
Thank you for clarifying, and yes thankfully eventually rock bottom really was rock bottom and am coming up to 6 years of sobriety :)

That does make sense, and I think I would probably now say I don’t necessarily agree with all of her actions but can see her reasoning behind some of them. Funnily enough I did have a moment when reading the article, in which I thought to myself it must be incredibly tough when you’re finding out further hurt from someone (she says that the nudes being shared more than she thought, was only revealed to her after his death) and the majority of people are grieving that same person and only saying good things.

I understand what you’re saying, and thank you for explaining your point of view. I’m sorry you had to experience what you did and hope you’ve managed to get some healing in time. And thanks for understanding my post, was worried it wouldn’t come across how I meant! X

I suppose logistically at least it's easier to organise a funeral in Buckinghamshire, if you're in Buckinghamshire too, and the press probably took advantage of that assumption and ran with it.

I'm sure he did still love Cheryl to some extent as B's mother, there didn't seem to be any animosity between them, and plenty of ex partners still have a great love and respect for their co-parent.

If it was Kate's choice to walk in separately, I can understand that, if she had walked with them all, comparisons would have quickly been everywhere (as they were to some extent already), comparing her and Cheryl's hair, clothes, facial expressions, who looks the most bereft, who was a better partner to Liam and so on.

Especially at only 25, I'd have rather been with a close friend, rather than amidst a close knit family who I don't really know.

How old are the diehard Larries now? They must be mid 20's, surely? Time for a reality check.
That being said, someone at work told me, with great authority, that Louis's son isn't real, he's a hired actor. When I asked why, she said to prove he's not gay. It's 2025 not 1975.

It's sad and disturbing that Liam's death is being investigated by conspiracy theorists. Do they think he's still alive and his death was faked? Or he was murdered and it's been covered up?
I saw a video on Instagram of a man leaving Zayn's concert with Zayn and people were saying that the man looked like Liam so it's possible that Liam faked his own death to escape fame and the media and that Zayn is "protecting him" by taking him on tour with him. As a long time One Direction fan I actually think all these conspiracies are so wrong and I really hope Liam's family are not seeing all this. It's ok to be sad over Liam's death and wish things were different, as I do, but the conspiracies really need to stop as they don't help anyone and dragging Zayn, Harry, Louis and Niall into these conspiracies as well is going too far.

Tbh we don't even know what's true anymore. I've already mentioned the articles about the priest being worried Liam's grave would be swarmed in Amersham, which he obviously never said because Liam isn't buried there. I also remember seeing articles claiming Kate had left after giving Liam an ultimatum concerning his drug use. I know the media twists and distorts things but to just pull so much out your own arse isn't what I expected from this case. Bored journos really sat at home inventing stuff lmao.

So we can't know whether he gave her a stipend specifically, but it doesn't really make a difference because he was paying for everything either way. She says in the interview that it was going to be impossible to get a 9-5 job as Liam's girlfriend which I agree with tbh. That's not really feasible if your partner is travelling all the time, and she herself was a tiny influencer making no money. At least by giving her an allowance (if it's true) she could learn to manage and spend the money how she wanted instead of constantly needing to beg him for every dollar all the time.

Cheryl cannot give any if Liam's money to the family it isn't allowed. They would only get money if they could made a claim under the 1975 Act against the estate if they could prove that Liam was maintaining them in some way.

Why do these young women mess with their faces? Kate Cassidy is a very attractive woman, and she really doesn't need any cosmetic tweaks. I don't understand why Liam had work done either, he was a handsome man, with lovely eyes.
These days, with social media, phone cameras everywhere etc, people look at themselves way more than they should. It’s not natural, and leads to a weird perception of one’s own appearance. When you think about it, we’re not really built to look at our own faces at all, and I think it messes with our heads to do it too much.
Add to that the constant barrage of filtered unattainable visages on insta et al, and it’s a recipe for distorted self image.

Like none of it makes sense, Liam's potential actions included which do indicate that there must have been something more to it than solely addiction.

Profess your love for these women (two of which you are no longer in a relationship with), whilst potentially simultaneously offering their nudes? Like he was still able to somewhat function, surely even he'd have seen that offering their pics about wouldn't exactly win either of them back 😐

And that's without getting into any further speculation around his sexuality on top, it's just frustrating that B has to see all this one day, especially bringing Cheryl into it more with this one.

Even if Liam had done any of still professing his love for her or offering her nudes, struggling with his sexuality, if B ever had to know any of that at any point, surely any of that should have come from Cheryl, not bloody Rolling Stone 😒
I think, he had bigger issues than addiction tbh, something like borderline personality or something. And part of me thinks, why the hell did Cheryl have a child with this man who everyone around said was acting like a child because he didn’t know how to be an adult. I think a lot of people failed him in multiple ways.

It must be so difficult for his family, and I don't think Ross realises the damage that fourth slide could do. He means well but you guys are right. It will feed into people's conspiracy theories unfortunately.

The family are going through enough as it is. It must be horrible knowing you're going to have to live the rest of your life without your son/brother, and that'll become their new norm for the next 30+ years. It's a scary thought. He was so young

That makes no sense. He was drinking at Niall's show. There's literally photographic evidence of him with a can of something. And the toxicology report probably shows the same, depending on what samples they took.

He was an addict. As long as she wasn't pouring drink down his throat, it's fine to admit he fell off the wagon. His family knew what he was like; it doesn't make her look bad.

It's possible to word things diplomatically without blatantly lying.
It is but everyone picks apart everything she says or does so she probably just wanted to put a "nope" on it all. If she mentioned certain times he was drinking or let on she knew he was drinking then it opens cans of worms about the drug use too. Also as said above if she's gave a statement to the police in Argentina she probably doesn't want to rock the boat.
I'd imagine regardless of her relationship with Bear too, out of love for Liam and the respect of Bear being his son, she probably doesn't want the nitty gritty out there from her about Liams addictions.
She doesn't owe the public anything, far less Liams secrets.
People will hate on her for selling her story but from what I can see of it it's been done in a respectful enough way. I don't image she'd have gotten anything from Liams estate and she seems to have been staying with her parents so I guess she has to make money some way. I know that sounds cold but I think so long as she keeps it respectful (I know it was to the sun) there's no real harm in it.

Surprised at the choice of him having named administrators of his estate in court documents but not having a will. But I guess that's just a hindsight thing unfortunately, noone expects it to happen to them.

I'm surprised too. He will have had the best financial advisors etc, I would assume with that level of wealth. a will would be one of the first things to be sorted.

On the CEO podcast he did I'm sure he talked about struggling to go to petrol/gas stations to fill up his car and do normal tasks such as that due to anxiety and agrophobia. So I wonder if he struggled to do paperwork tasks like that or maybe thought he was already done in past as he probably signed lots of paperwork over the years and forgot it wasn't done?
I just wrote a massive post explaining why someone with ADHD would struggle with writing a will and have substance abuse problems. Then, in true ADHD fashion, while I was reading back through it to make sure it wasn't a complete me-rail and was actually still relevant to the topic because goodness me, getting a telling off would be the end of the world I accidentally clicked a Tattle ad and lost the whole thing. 😂

Non-ADHD answer: Paperwork bad. Don't like people being mad at me. If brain is malfunctioning, action only happens when anxiety becomes overwhelming or someone confirms they're mad at me. You're correct that he would have struggled with it, and/or forgotten he hadn't done it, or made up an imaginary rule that meant he could keep putting it off.

And on that note, I'm off to make the stew I was really excited about an hour ago but forgot about because I got distracted by this thread. 😂

I hate to double-post like a twat but some people on this thread are worse than the conspiracy theorists on social media. You know things like birth certificates, name changes and wills (or lack there of) are all public records, right? They're probably available on X and Reddit if you don't want to buy them yourselves. Seriously, there's no public/media birth name or date. I mean, yeah they could call him "Bear" in public and "Bob" at home/school, but that's what happens in most families; it's the same as non-celebrities naming their kids "Stephen" and "Charlotte" and calling them "Steve" and "Lottie" at home. If someone wants to track him, they'll look for "Bear [middle name(s)] Payne", because that's his legal name, the name that will be on all his paperwork for school, banking, passport, etc.
He's the child of celebrities, not a kid in witness protection. It's really not that deep.

Sorry if this is too dark but man it must feel weird for the other guys in the band to look at the tributes knowing that this will be how they'll be remembered once they're gone as well

For someone so generous and financially fortunate, I'd be surprised if he wasn't paying for 99% of everything.
Shan't begrudge him that, it's his money that he's worked hard for it at what's becoming increasingly clear now to the detriment of his health, and he'd done the honourable and right thing and ensured his family and son were set up financially and with housing etc (I'm talking as a whole there, as of course he had the responsibility to ensure B was financially safe and safely housed during his childhood at least), so if he wants to treat his partner to regular high end clothes, who am I to judge?

Honestly the amount of conflicting stories and crap out there is just insane and bizarre, when most likely he was a normal lad thrust into not so normal circumstances, who then inevitably struggled with his mental health and resulting addictions, and whilst doing good works as a whole, probably did fail like a lot of us would and potentially do some not so nice things too.
