I hate thinking this because I want to see the best in people but it honestly just seems like Kate gave it 12 weeks and has already jumped on the cash wagon. I expect she will do lots more podcasts, maybe write a book then eventually will try and do reality tv while bringing back her TikTok. I understand she’s become accustomed to a certain lifestyle but it’s so off that she’s speaking out so quickly- I mean Liam’s family haven’t even had proper closure yet.

Given the way the 1d fans have been since day 1, I think they were always going to turn band members dying into a conspiracy theory. Harry could die tomorrow and they would claim he's living a secret gay life in France because Louis went there 3 times while wearing a blue t shirt

Its saying in some articles wills are public, is that true? If so, I don't want to see it as I think it's very invasive and people should have their privacy but in this case I'm surprised none had found the actual "public" document and printed it, makes me wonder if the news is really true or if that's just what they - Liam's family, Cheryl & PR are putting out there for people to think. Good on them if they have, to keep all details private.

He did seem a generous person with his family. It doesn't come across they used him. He seemed very close with them all and watching videos etc he had them around a lot particularly in between his relationships, almost like he needed to have someone around 24/7. In recent interviews - the CEO podcast & then Logan Paul podcast he does seem to harbour a bit of resentment towards his dad re: his dad's dream of him being a solo singer but I can't see him not gifting some money to his mum & sisters to ensure they are alright for rest of their life's just because he might resent the dad a bit? I also wonder if his lack of closeness to his dad in his final months was partly due to Rogers influence over him and the hangers on he seemed to have got himself attached to. Maybe they said negative things about the dad & family using him? Still, I really can't fathom someone like him NOT having a will written up at some point even if it's from years back when he did have a very serious, sensible, old soul, Ross friends personality.
Yes it’s true, you apply here. https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate

The argument for them being made public is to ensure transparency, any interested parties can make a claim or contest it (this isn’t just family but creditors too).

It’s all very well thinking family members / administrators/ executors will always act fairly but it’s amazing how people can change when large amounts of money is involved or people realise they are getting none.

People can apply to the courts to keep it sealed - Prince Philip was a recent one that was reported on - but this was to protect the privacy of The Queen rather than him. But I think it’s rare courts will do this.

some interesting articles about it

I’ve been watching building the band and I feel the role as judge really suited him. He came across as charismatic and a great addition to Kelly, Nicole and AJ. It’s sad knowing what we know now and looking back.

Hopefully she'll veer on Geoff's side of the story and clear up that she was not being paid for her time or 'services'.

Yes he'd given her access to his credit card and money for clothes, but thats a massive difference between being a glorified carer and escort.

Bit insulting that really considering she'd lost her partner of 2 years.

Oh good, the DM are reporting the public prosecutors in Argentina are considering appealing against the three dropped cases. Because that's not going to feed into the delusions some more.

And Roger's doing the rounds again.
"Liam's father was trying to move on [from his son's death] as best he could. He was suffering, he didn't understand what he was saying.”
"It is logical that people look for someone to blame in order to make the case interesting. They were looking for someone to be responsible. I understand that... We knew that there would be a mess if something happened to him, but I was not afraid of going to jail”
First off, how incredibly patronising to say Geoff didn't understand what he was saying.
Secondly, if you recognise he was talking out of incredibly raw grief, just drop the defamation case.

This whole saga is like a neverending merry-go-round. Liam's poor family have my respect for the restraint they've shown throughout.

I cut myself off in my previous comment 🤦‍♀️

Regarding the bit about Maya wanting him to undergo 6 months of intensive treatment as 'compensation' for his actions, I think that's what he needed. Really intensive, long-term therapy in one place, seeing the same psychiatrist and therapists, who could really tackle his mental health issues and teach him how to manage his ADHD symptoms. It seems like he didn't have a good quality of life for a very long time.

Also, did he ever talk about his childhood trauma that was alluded to in the article? I've seen this mentioned a couple of times before and assumed it was to do with how he was treated during the early 1D days, but the article says it was before 1D. Obviously, if he kept it private it's no one's business and shouldn't be 'revealed' now. He'd been open about his mental health in the past so I'm just curious if this was something he'd talked about.

Yeah I feel Kate might be saying that to be diplomatic too. She’s hardly going to say “Liam was doing terribly” in a piece where she’s gushing about him and sharing romantic and cute photos and videos. She’s probably also aware that if she said that she could open herself up to attacks by trolls who’d blame her for Liam’s death.

Maybe friends and family call him 🐻 and he answers to this, but the name on his birth certificate is something like Stewart Bear Payne, so when he’s older he has the option of anonymity. Like Duncan Jones, formerly Zowie Bowie. Rolan Bolan has embraced his name though.

I’d be surprised if the more crazed Directioners hadn’t sought out a copy of the boy’s birth certificate though. Remember the furore when Louis’s son Freddie was born?! 😱
STEWART!!!!

Cheryl couldn't give them any of Liam's money now even if she wanted to.

He passed away intestate, which means Bear inherits all as his only child. She is essentially only an administrator alongside a lawyer, until Bear is of age.

No lawyer would likely agree to some of their client's (in this case Bear) money being given to his grandparents, aunts, cousins etc.

Bear could do so himself once he controls the money, but until then it'll be solely marked for his benefit, and can only be used for his upkeep or invested on his behalf.

I agree with the majority of what you've said. My point was he wasn't sober until an hour before he died. Loads of eye witnesses said Liam was visibly drunk/high for the majority of the day. Roger himself apologised to the hotel staff for Liam being high. Of course he could have taken a shit load of stuff after Roger left, but it doesn't make any sense to keep pushing this narrative that he was sober until an hour before he died.

I'm far from being angry. I have no skin in this game. I'm just baffled by this sober-narrative that gets wheeled out in every article. Who's benefitting from this obvious lie?
I think when they say 'sober' they mean 'functioning/sober for Liam'. He's clearly high in a few fan videos while he was over there, and when he was at the gig (IMO). People get buzzed/high like that every day, and if you're round someone who uses all the time it just becomes normal.

30:08mins This journalist talks about a woman who contacted her with a story she wanted told on Liam payne and they gave pictures/texts for their story which were proven to be fake.

Coincidently at same time as this Maya his ex was on a podcast saying how she tried to get in maintstream media about her "allegations" but no one would touch it.

This is why you should be careful about beleiving people with no hard facts or evidence to support their claims.

BIB but that's exactly what you're doing. Where's your evidence that they're talking about Maya? There were multiple women saying the same things about Liam. It's just as plausible that they're talking about one of them, possibly even more so.

The truth is we've seen no evidence that shows Liam did abuse Maya, but there's also no evidence that proves he didn't. This constant back-and-forth trying to paint Liam as some sort of saint and Maya as the villain isn't going to change the fact that, like everyone, he was flawed. And his addictions made him act/react in a way he probably wouldn't have when he was sober. If she lied, of course that's abhorrent, but at this point we've no way of proving either way, and it's unlikely we ever will.

Also it's coming from a DM journalist who used to work for The Sun. So there's that.

I don't feel right looking up anyone's birth certificates or personal paperwork, public or not, but especially not a child's who hasn't asked for a life in the public eye. A lot of celebrities use stage names for the media for their children so it's not a reach to think that the same has happened with Bear when his parents have been so fiercely protective of his privacy 🤷‍♀️.
The same way it's not that deep to discuss a name, surely it's not that deep to be searching peoples incomes, wills, birth certificates etc online. This is a gossip forum it's not the MI5 offices 😂
I couldn't give a flying fuck what a stranger's child's name is, or who gets what in a stranger's will. I'm also not the one suggesting 'they' (whoever 'they' happen to be) are hiding the true beneficiaries of Liam's will, or Bear's real name. I haven't seen evidence of either. I have no interest in either. I'm simply stating that a Google search will lead you to a legal source of this information, if you're so concerned of a coverup. Not everything is a conspiracy.

I'll admit I may have jumped the gun by saying his legal name actually is Bear as, like I said, I haven't checked. But Cheryl/Liam released his (alleged) full name and date of birth, so it'd be easy to check, and would probably have been called out by Liam's stans by now if there was no record of this. Let's face it, they have copies of all the boys' birth certificates, Louis' son's birth certificate, and Louis' mum's death certificate (again, I haven't seen any of the documents themselves but have seen fans bragging about owning them), so it wouldn't surprise me if they have Bear's birth certificate (and Zayn's daughter's), and Liam's death certificate and probate records to complete the set.

As if there needed to be more proof that most associated with the BBC are knobs:

He's someone's father, son, brother, and it's disgusting to refer to him as he has in that article.

Maybe question yourself about how he ended up where he did Michael Buerk, whilst giving your head a wobble, I'm sure your association suitably profited anytime he appeared on anything BBC related.

I’m surprised to see Maya participated. Her statement sounds actually quite heartfelt, she obviously very much struggled with the fact that he couldn’t stay sober.

I don’t doubt that she went through some horrific times with him, but for me one thing that niggles, is that I saw clips of where she was actively enjoying the fans turning on him and I found that hard to watch.
I may be looking at it from a different perspective, as I have been an absolute horror when in alcohol addiction (granted I never chased anyone with an axe or threw them down stairs) but those moments when you sober up and either remember, or are told how you’ve hurt those you love, are truly awful and come with the kind of anxiety I wouldn’t wish on anyone. And ironically the only way to quieten that anxiety is to drink again.

I’m NOT excusing his behaviour or saying addicts should get off Scot free because they’re struggling, that’s not what I’m saying at all. But in this Rolling Stones article, in her statement she does actually genuinely sound like she loved and hoped for him to get better (even after them splitting), and I just find it difficult to correlate that version with the one I saw clips of, revealing the stuff about zayn and sort of mocking Liam and some of the fans turning on him.

Allegedly, Cheryl is putting everything in trust until Bear is 25. I genuinely believe that is the smartest, kindest thing to do. I think allowing him the extra time to mature before he's given that kind of wealth is extremely wise.

These people are exhausting. My feed is full of it now because I clicked on a couple of posts to see what they're saying. There's some bat-shittery going on now about Liam having/not having a tattoo on the back of his neck, therefore he's still alive.

The shit the guys from 1D are taking over this is absolutely shocking, too. There's not an ounce of self-awareness between the lot of them - complaining that people were being mean to Liam, then absolutely dragging his bandmates. It's like the possibility of grieving in private has never occurred to them.

Even if Cheryl did still care about him, it's clear that luckily she was able to separate Liam and his vulnerabilites from her primary responsibility to their son.

If she helped him behind the scenes, an even bigger pat on the back for her, but even if she didn't, she's still done the right thing for their son by not bad mouthing her son's father in a public capacity, whilst seemingly ensuring he has had consistent access to his paternal family, which is obviously the right thing for all the Paynes.

She's gone above and beyond, and will continue to do so, as B's sole parent now sadly 😞

Roger can absolutely sit on a cactus as per Perez if he's expecting her to dip into B's trust to save his grandfather, only to gift it back to him under Rogers name, he's not responsible for Liam's death ultimately, but he can still be a damn tosser.

The title is misleading, I thought the same when I read it about them being gross for selling their story, but when you actually read the story it’s clear they didn’t actually sell it and it’s just what they told police.

Yesterday I posted how the headline said he "struggled with his identity"

Today it's "star's intimate encounter with male waiter"

Daily Mail appear to be insinuating lately that Liam wasn't hetrosexual.
I know I shouldn’t expect any better from the Mail, but how horrid that those are the two headlines that they concentrate on.
They could even have labelled Maya’s one more positively as she did speak of her love for him.
