I think the "he didn't have a phone" thing was an attempt to discredit the last texts he sent, which were, let's be honest, not very nice.

I have complete sympathy for his family, and I totally understand why they would want people to remember Liam at his best instead of what actually happened. Sadly, nobody can put the genie back in the bottle now.

I think the lack of phone or not has probably just grown arms and legs, considering it was originally in a leaked and translated as well statement.

Dusting my crystal ball off here, but potentially due to the extenuating factors we now know of, Liam maybe let contact go through third parties like Kate and Roger as come on who likes being reprimanded by their parents in their 30s?
No shame to his family either from their side, as they'd understandably be worried.

Overall an incredibly tragic situation, no one is inherently at fault, just a combination of unprecedented factors at the same time, but the main tragedy remains the same, that it's cost a man who was unwell his life, and a young boy his father.

Thanks for the recommendation! It was interesting to hear the American guy who’s wedding it was, speak about what he witnessed in the hotel; you could see he was very affected by it. I’ve seen some say his story didn’t add up etc etc .. but if he’s lying in that talking head, he’s a better actor than an Oscar winner!

That's an edited version of the documentary they put out at the end of last year/beginning of this year. Pretty sure most (all?) of the info was used in the court/appeals hearings. Obviously people could be lying, but the majority of stories have remained the same (the witness allegedly originally stated he and his wedding planner had their backs to the window/balcony so didn't see him fall).

Not that we couldn't before, but I think that officially proves that passing out, fainting or otherwise losing consciousness wasn't the cause of the fall. He just lost his grip as he was trying to drop down.

I still maintain that at some point he bought some drugs thinking it was standard coke, and it wasn't. I still believe the original tox screen.

BIB: If you're referring to the hand- and finger-prints, I don't think it does. It's perfectly plausible that he was briefly slipping in and out of consciousness whilst he was climbing but he came to fast enough to regain his grip/footing (hence the smeared handprints), before experiencing a longer period of unconsciousness that led him to fall. The number and type of injuries, and lack of injuries associated with engagement of protective reflexes, were very much consistent with someone falling in an unconscious/semi-conscious state. They could be stretching the truth about those details too, but I don't see a reason for doing so. His reputation wouldn't be harmed by saying he was conscious and slipped in the same way that releasing the full tox report or suggesting he wasn't sober could; in fact, by saying he was unconscious implies he was more inebriated than they were trying to suggest.
I also don't think the released tox report told the whole story either, especially when you consider how often c is cut with other substances to make it cheaper/more addictive.

Seeing the timeline of transactions is so sad. You don't buy that much c in such a short space of time if you're just looking for a good time. He was clearly in a very dark place, poor guy.

I've watched all the episodes of Building The Band that have been released so far. My understanding is that it finished filming a month before he died and he "seemed normal" at the time. To me though, he does not. He's a bit overly animated and his eyes look a bit glassy. To me, anyway. However, what is abundantly clear is that he was having the time of his life, mentoring younger people really suited him.

I’ve been watching building the band and I feel the role as judge really suited him. He came across as charismatic and a great addition to Kelly, Nicole and AJ. It’s sad knowing what we know now and looking back.

For Liam’s family’s sake, I wish those texts hadn’t been made public. I know they went some way towards describing his state of mind at the time of his death, but it’s so undignified. He was making daft and dangerous decisions because of his addictions.
I’m not absolving him of blame, he was a bad boyfriend, but he was also extremely unwell mentally.
