So gorgeous - congrats!I’m sorry for resurrecting an old thread… didn’t think I’d ever get to contribute, but - after nearly 9 years, I finally can!
I am the proud new owner of this. Simple, classic and exactly what I would have chosen for myself. I love it. I don’t want to take it off, but it needs resizing a little bit. I can’t believe how close he got it, to be fair - I had no idea he was even planning it!
oh, and it was set on what would have been my dads birthday last year

A little over 8.5 years… we planned to buy a house first as we both saw that as more of a commitment, but that was almost 2 years ago so I was starting to think he had forgottenAhh all these rings are gorgeous! Can‘t wait for the day I‘ll be able to post a picture of mine on here

I honestly never thought the day would come

4 years together, engaged last Christmas. we booked our wedding today, for 2023.
Slightly unusual but my now husband said he was going to marry me 2 weeks in....I thought weirdo 6 weeks in and he took me ring shopping to get an idea of what I liked. He proposed to me 6 months after we met. We got married a year later.
Now very happily married years later.

We had been together five and a half years and living together for three years when he proposed.

4 months after we met he proposed, my ring is currently being worked on and should get it back tomorrow

We met when I was 18. He proposed on holiday in Greece (Zakinthos) a year and a bit later. We were due to get married in 1997 but found out I was pregnant so postponed by a year.

my engagement ring was a silver band brought in Greece as he hadn’t planned to do it there and then but felt the time was right.
he brought a good band with an amethyst and diamonds surrounding it. I’ll be totally honest and say I was never keen on it. He said he chose it as purple was my favourite colour! Twenty years later he replaced it with a pink diamond on platinum. Much nicer.
